Had a blast with my Warlock and it'll be my main in P2. Sustain while leveling and grinding is Affliction's speciality, but at max level you can stay Destro specced if you've been raiding with it going into P2; You'll have enough spell power on your gear to just change your runes to master channeler and haunt and still keep yourself topped off nicely, and your incinerate, and immolate will still hit like a truck.
I suspect they will be a massive threat in later phases. I wwas going ot elaborate on it in the video more but i wanted to keep it as short as possible, but lifetap scales with spellpower and shaodw spellpower so each phase the mana problems will be less and less, tho it might be an issue for fire spell power stacking destro locks.
5 points into suppression is such a waste. You only need 2, with the 3rd only giving half benefit for mobs up to 2 levels highers. If you consistently want to kill mobs 3 levels higher it could be worth it, but that will slow down your overall leveling speed
I like overcapping just to make things like Sharptalon, Ishwa'awok, Washte Pawne doable whenever I run into them. If it prevents a death or makes those quests possible it's super worth it. But you're right, I think for the average player the extra 2-3 points being spent on something else like Imp Life Tap would be better, but it's not a huge deal, would just save a global here or there.
Would love to get an updated guide for those of us coming back in p4 to level. Right now, Curse of Agony, Haunt, wand is all you need for a long while, never run out of mana and always healing
I've been planning on doing a complete and final leveling guide for every class for a while, but I've been trying to find the right time for it. After I get my raiding characters sat up I will probably get to work on them. I have every class at 50 and some things have been huge changes for the leveling meta, like yesterday allowing you to buy the emerald wardens rep runes with no requirements.
@@Kippzo that would be amazing! Thanks in advance! with haunt, master channeler, corruption and CoA, I can tank multiple enemies at once. Also using felguard for cleave damage and it seems to be working really well now. Was able to kill 3 packs of lions in barrens without stopping once to drink/eat. I definitely dont have the best setup right now, but maybe imp drain life for the extra healing could help out as well.
Also, add in with Master Channeler, you could run shadowbolt volley and since Drain Life will now proc nightfall, you could drain tank everything and shoot out instant shadowbolts at 5 mobs at once
I found I was never really pulling off it with just corruption and curse of agony but the warlock is a great leveler no matter what. I didn't really mention the option of using an Imp because I hate that it runs out of mana.
I have been trying to get 1 of every class to 25 before start of phase 2, just a goal I have set for myself. I have used your vids to help all the classes so far :)
I play a lock as my main, I use a different build and I like it better than lake of fire. Also for solo stuff, meta+ master channeler is the way to go. For my main I got demo tactics, incinerate chaos bolt which allows me to also use all my dots as I don't waste all the mana on lake of fire. It's more fun than lake of fire cause you don't have the mana struggles and you feel more like a lock using your dots. Corruption agony and immolate
I just put 3 points into imp early on incinerate immolate incinerate, off cd incinerate chaos bolt, you kill everything just as quick no impact to hp its dead before it reaches you just more stationary compared to affliction.
I did not use voidwalker. Threat is too low and it isn't tanky enough even when it does hold aggro. Imp is more damage and basically an equally good tank, I used it until I got succubus.
Never really played WoW or (at this point) warlock. Is demonology spec good later? I like the idea of having a horde fight my battles while I watch with an evil laugh

I think you should use Imp over VW. VW just kinda sucks I pull agro off it with dots anyway so might as well use the Imp which does more DPS.

Get incinerate at level 10 on a high pop server someone is bound to be going for it, just wait near redridge cave.
