Well, lots of struggle and stress finding screaming sound - many hours of watching videos, talking with others, lots of trial and error practicing. For raspy voice I found it about 6 years ago, I worked on it for years to make it comfortable and less harmful. I think for raspy singing or screaming I would recommend "Andrew Southworth" 's videos - my rasp is kinda similar to his definition about it. As for screaming - my scream sound is very dominant in voice/pitch, I'm still struggling with getting the "pitch" out of the way to have a RAW sound.

After 13 of singing I say it is one of the most important things, but the main misconception that I see is that most "teachers" say that if you can't do something correctly (singing/screaming) is due to diaphragm/breathing problems. This is completely wrong! You have to focus on doing it right but remember - everything that you do with your voice comes out of your voice box === coming from the throat whether people wanna face this or not :) So in short term - First step is learning to manage your breath but don't overdo that with "breath from belly" / "push from stomach" and all those shit advices :)
I do not believe the fact that your voice is not capable for rock. You can learn to make different sounds with your voice - some of them comes easier, some needs to be worked on. You can develop distorted high notes with practice - lots of trial and error. It took a very long time to be able to do it without hurting. The first thing you have to do is - learn to sing it those high notes in a clear voice without struggling - Then you can work on "distorting it"
Awesome song definitely. But your voice feels drained out by all of the instruments especially at the end. Perhaps make it more clearer by not heavily editing your vocals or reducing the volume of the other instruments. But i really loved it. Some bits I actually preferred over the original.
