Yes my friend. First lesson is to take your time and try to sing with rasp. I personally have similar technique to Chris Liepe's method (I think), and I feel similarities to Andrew Southworth-s rasp singing. They have very good videos about this - you should try them out. The good news is, if you learn to do rasp with your singing voice, your are 50% halfway to screams too .
