Hi Emily! I use painter’s tape and a sharpie to label my meal prep containers with the dates they were placed into the refrigerator. That way, if we get busy or forget to use something, I have a reference point on how long it’s been there. We all know how easy it is to forget. 🤦🏻♀️ But this would also be an easy way to label your non-see through containers. Painter’s tape works like a charm because it’s inexpensive and doesn’t leave a residue on the container.
I adore these meal prep videos - thank you! I can’t wait for more meal prep ideas. I recommend glass containers with the snap tops for meal prep because they are much healthier than plastic, and you can see what’s inside!
Love these meal prep videos! Would you consider sharing your planning process? How you choose recipes and the ‘flow’ of prepping? ‘How I plan my meal prep’ type video? Thank you Emily!
I like to chop a bunch of onion and bell peppers (sometimes even bacon) at once and freeze them on a sheet tray. Once they’re frozen, I transfer to a container or ziploc bag. Easy to just grab what you want when making a recipe and you just cook them from frozen. Such a life saver.
What I do is cleaning and cutting all the veggies i’m gonna be using all at once, it saves me time and avoid having to clean the space several time ... 😉 Another great meal prep ! Thanks Emily 👍🏻
I love these videos. You did an amazing job. Healthy food for the whole family prepared ahead of time. I started to do this too and it's been great. As a busy mom of two, it has saved me a lot of time and hassle. It's much more efficient to prepare ahead of time as opposed to trying to cook with my two little ones getting into everything
I'm terrible at meal prep. Absolutely love the idea of the pre-made pancakes because I rarely get in the mood to cook, so when I am that is normally when I try to get the meals done for the week and pancakes already made to pop in the toaster is just genius!
Love each and every one of those. Meal prepping and planning is the only solution for all the stress that comes with cooking for a family, and you make it look so easy! I'm totally inspired! 😊
Thanks, loved all the ideas. I recommend Turney sweet potato chili, maybe turkey meatloaf. I want to get into meal prepping to ensure we eat in all of the week. Also, I want to out my son in daycare and start my sear for a job already (he's one and half).
You can make a delicious dessert with the chickpe juice in the box/can. Also using the same ingredients for different food sounds like a good idea especially on saving time 😊 meal prep is not an easy task to do but you crushed it 💪
Thank you for yet another great video 😍👏🙏 we love meals like these so can't wait to make them too 😍😊 absolutely love you and your channel 😍💖 thank you😊
Hola, I am new to your channel, loving the meal prep ideas as it’s the only way to survive during the week as working mum of 2 😀. I would recommend glass containers, some can go in the oven, others don’t but definitely they keep the food nicer for longer, hope that helps x
Ikea do glass dishes with plastic click on lids, we use those for the stuff we put in the freezer and the fridge as it can go in the oven :-) for small Tupperware I buy little ones from Sainsbury’s or Lakeland that have the lid attached.
I find it very refreshing that you use normal tuppaware a total mix and not everything out of glass and perfectly matching. Looks similar to what it looks like in my kitchen :-)
Thank you so much you gave me some great ideas. Please do another one but with prawns or shrimp as I want to be able to cook something with that but not sure what. I love your videos.
Love your meal prep videos! I am often making veggies in the oven like you and by adding some sweet potato, fresh flat parsley and pomegranate seeds to the dish, you can make it even more delicious and a bit different 😄 have a lovely trip to Brussels Emily :*
You can freeze the pancakes so if you decide to make more you can freeze them and they thaw out perfectly and can still heat them up the same way. Same goes for French toast stick that you can make at home. That way you can do breakfast batches for two weeks freeze them and that’s one less thing to do. Breakfast sandwiches freeze well as well.
Love these meal plan videos! Also if you’re wanting new Tupperware go to ikea and get the glass containers. My family has been trying to change to all glass as it lasts longer, it’s safer and can be used in the microwave without worry plus it’s clear like you mentioned!
I love the Pyrex Glass Snapware containers. They come in multiple sizes and are great for storing foods. I found a set in the Costco here in the U.S. but wondering if your Costco might have them as well.
I love your videos Emily! I would like to ask if you could do a video on “how to plan meals for the week in terms of food and quantities before shopping “ thanks!
Thank you so much for these videos. I've been struggling with finding meal ideas for my family. I've got 2 boys aged 13months and 3.5yrs and I struggle with meal prep. My bday wish this year is a slow cooker! Could you perhaps do a few what my kids eat videos again when you are able? I love watching you! You are so n inspiring and motivating!!
Great job!! I meal prep as well but it takes sooo long, especially the cleanup. But it’s true, it’s really nice to have home cooked meals and healthy snacks for the week. :-)
Such a good video, a really good hack is to cut all the onions you need in a chopper before you even start cooking. That’s what I do so il just put about 4 onions in the chopper/blender and if they’re so finely diced.
Go for glass containers. They are easy to clean, no problem with stains from spices like turmeric plus you can put them directly to oven to reheat if you don't want to use microwave or reheat food with bit if fresh cheese 🧀 on top 😍
Loved this! 🙌 How did I not find your channel earlier I’ve been subscribed for a little while but not long enough! Still catching up on all your videos 💗💗💗 you give me heaps of inspiration for my channel 🌸🌸🌸
That's good to know! I've been thinking of getting a slow cooker for years and I think with our second baby on the way now, this will be the year it I make this dream happen 😅
Love love love 💕 all your videos Emily! u are amazing and such a breath of fresh air and inspiration! Pls can u do a video with outfits of the week? xx
Thank you for the ideas! Do you need to worry how long some prepped items will keep before you use them? Especially if it's fish or meat? Say you prep chicken parcels on Sunday, would you still use them later in the week? Thanks! x
Love love love your meal prep videos - so much this is my first ever comment and I been watching you for 1.5 years! Would love to know which nights you ate which meal, I would feel a bit worried about the salmon for example lasting for day three or otherwise. Thanks Emily!
i love your meal preps but heads up.... cross contamination can happen easily, like when you spread pesto on the first chicken breast and then the other... you could have contaminated your whole jar with raw chicken juices and i dont want you or your family to get sick. the recipes all look amazing and your amazing!
Hello, Emily. Here's a tip to help keep your apples from browning too fast: include an acid into your fruit salad, pineapples are a good option. The acid from the pineapple juice keeps the apples fresh. You can also try adding a bit of lemon or lime juice to your fruit salad. I recently started trying out adding balsamic vinegar to my fruit salad. It's been a couple of days and so far the apples haven't browned.
Emily, i love your videos, food, meal prepping its all so lovely to watch & so interesting. I prefer it to the tv. Your boys are Gorgeous too Look 4ward to the next one Thank you😊
Hi Emily, we use "lunchbots" to store our cooked food, as the stainless steel material does not retain any smell. For fruits, we use airtight plastic containers which we got it at our local budget store. ☺️
I meal prep my breakfast and lunch for the week and it makes a huge difference. I usually make a huge breakfast casserole that i cut into 10 individual pieces. I actually made chili for my lunch this week yum and its so easy.
The best hack for meal prepping is to cook one protein in batch and divide between multiple different dishes. Eg 2kg breast chicken cooked and shredded can make: chicken lasagne, chicken enchiladas, chicken pie, chicken chilli. 2kg cooked mince can e.g make spag bol, lasagne, buritto pie, Shepard's pie. Great for freezing and to have options on hand. Watch Jamerill Stewart on RUclips. She does this so well.
SO glad you got the audio issues resolved so quickly and reloaded, you are beyond inspirational at being so professional and organized! 🥰
Thanks for understanding and being so supportive! Thank you so much for watching Leah xx
Absolutely! Thank you for another wonderful video, the hardest part will be choosing which meals to make first!
You should totally make a mums easy cook book. I’d buy it!!

Ah ok good advice Cristina, I'm new to all of this! Thank you so much for watching xx
Also, it's best to put hot food into glass containers since plastic releases toxins when it's exposed to heat.
Absolutely love these meal preps. 🥰

Tip to keep apples fresher for longer. Soak in lemon juice after cutting up.
