Three boys, and you can still keep everything so organized, cleaning and batch cooking etc, you are a super mum!
When making tomato sauce you can substitute the sugar for a finely grated carrot for sweetness (and an extra hidden veg).
Like your videos, and you have nice storage containers, where do you get them from
Hi Emily, I just wanted to tell you that you are amazing. You have helped me so much in my journey of motherhood specially those first few months. My son is now 1.5 years old and I still use your advice for many things. Thank you so much!! Loads of love!
Ah loved reading this Soma! Thank you so much for watching for so long xx
Meal prep is literally the best time saver during the week! I am doing a weeks meal prep for 1.5 year already and I can’t go back 😂 Please make more of these!! Sometimes I am running out of ideas and it’s nice to have some fresh recipes 😍
Keep your veg scraps in a freezer bag! Once it’s full boil it up with some savoury spices- parsley, thyme, sage, rosemary are lovely- and there you go! Free veg stock!
Love this Chelsey! Thank you so much for watching xx
Ahh! Thank you so much for responding! 🥰 Love your content!
Good idea!
Nadiya Hussain makes the soup with her leftovers as well.. it’s in her new book 📚
I use an immersion blender right in the soup pot while it’s cooking. I use it so often for mixing and pureeing , my husband laughs when I pull it out but it’s so easy and takes little space to store!
Wow sounds fab Juliana! Thank you so much for watching xx
I do the same!
Me too, they are so efficient and useful and as you say take up so little space.
Yes. This is brilliant. This and your “dump bag” videos have given me lots of inspiration and are definitely things that I will try out. I love the idea of a two hour meal plan blitz. As much as I like cooking, I don’t like the washing up, and this approach really cuts down on that. I’m an see myself doing this selection and also to seeing what I can bring together in my repertoire to do another version. More like this please.
Oh and I haven’t got a soup maker. I just use a big pan and a stick blender
Jessicarina Google mmm on lmmkai
The instant pot is my most used appliance and makes soup making a breeze!!! So much quicker and hands off, I just love it! Plus you can use it to make rice, roast chicken, beef, etc. I don’t even use my slow cooker anymore!! Love these meal ideas, thanks!
You are such a super mom always feeding your family such healthy food. They must name a 🌟 after you.
I loved this video. I went back to work after maternity leave last year and I'm gone from 5am to 6pm. Our eating has really suffered and we've relied on chips more often than I'd like to admit. I'm going to do some meal prepping this weekend. Thanks Emily!
Omg thank you for making these videos. It’s been so nice to see someone from the uk do prep meals with meals I can relate too, with ingredients that make sense. I love all of your recipes and I hope they help me prep meals for the future. Your videos are very easy watching and very Informative too
Hi! You are such an inspiration. Your videos are so helpful with raising children. Being a stay at home mom can be difficult and you seem to do it so effortlessly!
I was given a morphy Richards soup maker for Christmas and oh my goodness it has changed my life !! It’s so easy - chop the veg and then shove it in the soup maker along with a stock cube and water , and then wait 20mins and it’s cooked and ready to eat! I like to batch cook aload of soup and then freeze it. It is lovely to use up veg that otherwise may get wasted and I like knowing that it’s all super healthy !
Love this, I bought an electric pressure cooker you can get them on amazon they're called instant pots and are popular in the USA. I use it for dump and go meals instead of the slow cooker.. a stew or a full roast dinner cooks in about 40 minutes all in 1 pot, it's very quick and keeps all the nutrients in the food.
I have the same apple cutter for ages... Love that now I'm getting ready to start meal prepping you bring it this video with what to cook and links 💕💕 . I will say it again YOU ARE AN ANGEL IN DISGUISE. We all lucky to have you 💖😘😘😇
Brilliant video, thanks so much. As you say, beside having the meals and snacks readily available, so much time is saved in washing and clearing up. Will definitely be making the effort to do this. Those cheese , egg and ham muffins will be ideal for me and my hubby as we are low carb ! Thanks again Emily would DEFINITELY love to see more videos like this. xx
I'd love to see this with like a grocery haul included too
Thank Em! Just made the egg cups, added sun dried tomatoes, yellow peppers, mushrooms and onions! Turned out lovely! Will be making them more often! Kids loved em too! ❤
Love this, you always have lots of great ideas, thank you. I bought a slow cooker a couple of weeks ago. We made your hot chocolate recipe in it to test it. My kids loved your hot chocolate station idea. Will need to cook a chicken in it. We put a carton of fresh orange juice in our fruit salad so the apples and fruit don't go brown. That is nice too. Thanks for the inspiration x
Love this Jennifer and your tips! Thank you so much for watching xx
Absolutely luv the prep and actually what I luv about the video is many youtubers show meal preps but don't show the mess and little clean ups during the preps ,but this is the real meal prep video and real mum life ,luv u emily 😘😘
Oh my word. This has got to be one of your best videos Em. Thank you so so much for all these amazing meal ideas for the family. I will be trying every one of them. And I've got to get a pouring bowl just like yours! :)
Not a single drop got on your lovely blouse...you are brilliant! This was so so so helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and share such helpful tips. You made it all look like such a breeze! Trying your butternut squash soup this week. Sending love from Boston, MA, USA ❤️
Love this video. Still have a curry dump bag in the freezer (and some soups) from your slow cooker/crockpot film. I use Ikea bags but it’s difficult to get them oil free afterwards when washing them out (water hot enough to eliminate the oil would destroy the bag so I wash and clean it well, rinse well then dry it/them and keep especially for the next dump bags. I reuse my Ikea bags, wash then rinse (in case of using again for food) and leave to drip in the sink on empty glass bottles or jars then transfer to the fridge with fridge magnets to dry out, then flatten, sort in size order, roll & store (but I keep the dump bags separate) 💚😊💚
My mum has a soup maker and loves it she uses it all the time. She said it’s one of the best things she’s bought. Also love your videos xx
Thanks Katlin, good idea! Thank you so much for watching xx
An immersion blender makes purée soup so easy.
Thanks Holli! Thank you so much for watching xx
I absolutely love your Overnight Oats recipe. I've made it twice just this week! I tried another recipe previously and my husband wasn't a fan...he even commented on how delicious this recipe was. Thank you...a new favourite :)
We have a soup maker and it’s a game changer! Couldn’t recommend them enough! I can cut the veg or use all frozen and put it all on within minutes and come back 20 minutes later to a lovely cooked smooth soup. A lot less washing up! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 love your videos, I start work in 2 weeks after over a year maternity leave and you’re keeping me sane! Xxxx
We got a soup maker about 3 weeks ago and we love it! My husband has made so many different soups, and we are eating healthier because of it! Big thumbs up!
I absolutely love my soup maker. No need to worry about burning on bottom, easy to pour, as a meal prep I'd only pre-roast veggies for flavour and on the day only throw a portion in with some hot water and stock cube, select a program and forget about it until beeping reminds me soup is ready. Another quick blend with cream amand I have hot ready to eat soup on a day. It's easy to pour as well. No need for ladle!
I use my Instant Pot for soups. And for rice, steaming veggies, etc. It's my best kitchen purchase and would def recommend!
Hi Emily, I’ve just started to meal prep for my family...loving it so far as it’s stopped us reaching for shop brought snacks etc as there is so much sugar in them, least with homemade you know what’s in it 👍🏻❤️ loved this video xx
Good on you Ellie!! Amazing. Thank you so much for watching xx
This woman is the ultimate in perfection, I'm mesmerized by her. Love it.
Such a great video. I would love you to do more stuff like this. I would also love to see more of your slow cooker dump bags where you freeze ingredients to put straight in the slow cooker.
Yes to a soup maker! I have the morphy Richards one, had it for about 5 years and the soup is so smooth everytime and it has a sauté option to fry off onion etc first. So easy and mess free.
Does anyone else struggle to watch meal prep videos and not start eating!? Loved this video, will def follow along. Thanks Emily x
I love my soup maker ❤ I personally find that I eat more soup now as it makes it so much easier and quicker. My favourite soup to make in it is a simple tomato soup, my kids love it and will often ask me to make it. I have found that when making veg based soups you do need to chop the veg quite small if you want it to soften and blend easily. Thanks for sharing xx
Your videos impact my home. My kids and my hole life because they inspire me to be a better person! Thank you ♥️
Wow! Bravo 👏🏻 I’m so impressed with all the cooking! I bet it was a lot of dishes to clean up, but I’m glad to hear you enjoyed having the food on hand all week long and it was worth it. Great work! I think I’m going to try and make the shepherds pie. 😍 Thanks for all the cooking content lately- keep it coming! 🥘
The shepherds pie is so good. Let mw know if you like it. Thank you so much for watching Christine xx
I make lots of these recipes too. A little tip is once you’ve put the meat part of the Shepard’s pie in the dishes sprinkle on some frozen pea. They don’t get over cooked that way. It’s the only way I can get one of my sons to eat anything green 🙄. Also I use thickening granules, they’re so handy. You just stir a couple of tsp in at the end to thicken the gravy (they’re usually near the flour in the supermarket) they’re so good for so many things especially when using the slow cooker. xx
Hey Emily love watching you! I love my soup maker so much and use it all the time! It's so simple and easy, I have soup everyday for lunch. My soup maker boils it all for around 26 minutes you can choose if you a want it smooth or chunky and then it beeps when it's boiled enough. And there's an option to blend, then all done so simple and easy xxx
Hello from Toronto!!! :) I really like your videos. I even re-watch some to take notes. Also much respect for being a strong independent woman who is a mom and excels at that too. You're a good role model.
Thank you so much. At 40 I am going back to study and been prepping some dump bags from your channel to prep easy meals when i start next week
more of these please. I struggle with meal planning but if i manage to get it done it makes life soooo much easier. Need inspiration! xxx
I just love your cooking videos! I always use your recipes 😍 so helpful thank you Emily xxx
Great hack for you. Peel and chop fresh ginger into chunks. Then when a recipe calls for ginger grab a chunk out the freezer and grate it while still frozen. It saves on food waste (as I don't know about anyone else but I always end up buying a huge piece of ginger for 1 recipe) and also ginger grates so much easier while frozen.
Loved this! 💖 from 🇨🇦. Inspired me to chop up my veggies and mash potatoes and pre-cook my chicken...I feel ahead of the game for tomorrow. Thanks so much! (And my kiddos love the egg muffins too! 😊 thanks Emily)
I just made the pasta with cauliflower hidden inside and yes my fussy toddler is having it now, I am so happy he is having veg now. Please do make more of these videos, and thank you so much
Love this Emily! Defo what I need to do from now, feel like I’ve been spending too much time in the kitchen and not enough time doing things with the kids... would love another one like this! Can’t wait to try a few recipes ❤️ xxxx
Hi Emily, great idea’s. Definitely saves time, washing up, and cleaning throughout the week. Thankyou for sharing 😊💖
Thanks Jo! Thank you so much for watching xx
For me you are the BEST RUclips ever. I love your videos. Thanks for all the great ideas 😍
Loved this video. I’m sure someone probably mentioned in comments but you would love a hand held immersion blender for blending your soups.
If your looking at a soup maker the ninja foodi hot and cold blender is amazing, you can cook smooth or chunky soups with the click of a button it even sautés your onions and you can use the cold function for normal smoothies xx
would honestly recommend just a hand blender instead of a soup maker! so much cheaper, I've had mine for years and was under £15!
love your videos! soup looks delicious x
Thank you so much for watching Georgina xx
Yeah I agree. Way too expensive.
I thought a soup maker was a saucepan with a lid! 😂😂😂🤣
I agree plus it doesn't take a big space in the kitchen
I would recommend the steel one not the plastic one. feels more healthy with hot soups etc
Agree! I’ve been using my cheap hand blender for years. All you need.
Love how practically everything you have made can be eaten for free while on slimming world!!! 😊😊😊
Bonus!! Thank you so much for watching xx
I thought that, I follow SW as well
That's what I was thinking too!
That’s my weekend sorted lol 😂 can’t wait to do my meal prep I better start doing my online shop for Friday to have everything ready
Good on you Rani! Enjoy! Thank you so much for watching xx
Love your videos (and planner) Emily 😁. I make soup once or twice a week and didn't find the soup maker was any quicker really. I do love my instant pot (I have 2 of them) and it's got a soup function but won't blend it for you. Thanks for sharing xx
Everything looks delicious. I used to make and freeze meals for weekly dinners. Haven't done so in years. You've got me to wanting to meal prep again. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Fantastic!! Thanks so much for this video - I always struggle with meal planning and prepping for my family. I am literally doing my online grocery shop now so I will attempt these meals over the next couple days 👍 xx
Hi ♥️all your recipes, I only just started watching and I'm like we're have you been all my life.
I have two fussy eaters and so far with your meals it's been really good.
Thankyou do more recipes plz.
I make a huge pot of lentil & vegetable soup most Sunday mornings and portion it up for lunches at work. My son has a portion before dinner a few days a week too, to boost veg intake!
Love this video and would love to see more! Also loves that you posted it after the week because it was nice to see how it went over!
You are soo organized! That's really impressive in 2 hours. More videos like this would be great!
I have just paused the video to say I love my soup maker. Mum of 3 (8, 6 & 4)and we have soup often. Chunky soup make in 24 minutes and blended soup made in 21 minutes. Chuck it all in with seasonings and job done 😁
Another great food video Emily! Very inspiring! Such easy recipes. I’m definitely going to try the egg muffins! I would recommend the vita mix for soups! I make tomato and basil soup and use that to whizz it up in. It’s brilliant! Also I would recommend a kenwood mini chopper for you to use. So quick and easy for you to use! Thank you so much! I know so much of your time would have gone into this! Can’t wait for the next one! Xxx
If you blend your soup up anyway, definitely invest in a soup maker! 21 minutes start to finish and very easy to clean X
Great, I may just do that Suzanne! Thank you so much for watching xx
Emily Norris bought a soup maker 3 weeks ago it is fantastic...then my sister bought,,,,then my friend, we are hooked ,
Amazing video! Please do more videos like this. I'm going to be a first time mum in April so meal prepping will really help me xxx
I love my soup maker and use it a lot in the winter, I found it a great way to use up my leftover veg and reduce food waste!
I mesh my soup with one of those stick blenders, I don't know what they are called in English, but they are super cheap and handy. you can mesh the hole pot and you don't have to take it out. I got one that has an extension with a closed compartment, that cuts carrots and unions so I don't have to grate them by hand for certain recipes.
I need this kitchen. Beautifully "hidden" fridge and the little refrigerated area. Love this kitchen :o
This was a brilliant video. I love the idea of doing all this food prep to save time in the week. I cant wait to try the egg muffins, granola bars and fruit salad!
More meal prep videos please! I’d LOVE to have a big freezer meal plan organized for 6 months from now 😉. I’ve seen your recent slow cooker video and will definitely be making those but I am going to need at least a few more options.
In regards to ginger and garlic I recommend the lazy range. You can get them in Tesco and there ready chopped and in a jar. They last for ages. Saves getting garlic fingers and saves on wasted food x
For your egg muffins i use reusable silicone muffin tins they are duper easy to clean up and the eggs just pop out and you don’t have to wash the muffin pan! Also an immersion or hand blender works great for blended soups!
This is so amazing and importantly for me allergy friendly! Thank you!
And all in a blog omg I could cry!
Love this video, I always make oats or millet fresh every morning which is time consuming so this motivates me to try prepping that, love the overnight oats !
I would recommend you an immersion blender, it is so easy to use and doesn't take much space. I have been using it for 15 years and it is still doing its job making the soup incredibly smooth. and also it is easier to wash. wonderful video with great ideas. hope you will make more videos like this.
My sister's thought I was weird for putting mustard in my mash, so glad I'm not the only one 😁 great video lots of fab tips for prep that I'll definitely use for my three girls👍
Where did you find the containers for the cut vegetables? Those in color with the flip lid?
I got them at IKEA xx
Love your cooking videos! Would love to see more meal planning and shopping too - I need mumspiration!
Loved all the recepies, I will definitely give it a go with the meal prep . I don't have a slow cooker but I have an Instant Pot Duo 6 witch I love and have been using every day , thank you for the video and I would sure love to see more videos like this one ××
This is amazing! I was getting stuck for meal ideas and have little time at the weekend but this is brill! I would love to know how/where you store all your pans because I feel I never have the room! X
Loved watching this and feel v motivated 💚😊💚ps have screengrabbed all the info ready to shop and make today or tomorrow and am rewatching. Must also take notes from the superb iPhone hacks film 💚😊💚
I grew up with soup before any meal and fruit after, so that is what I apply to my kids also... I rarely worry about their nutrient intake :) Lovely prep, thanks x
Get an insta pot for soups and it’s a slow cooker too! Also a stick blender is a game changer for puréed soups!
I’ve got the Morphy Richards soup maker and it’s brilliant!, so quick to cook and easy to clean, I’d never go back to cooking soup on the hob again. I find I make soups even more now that it’s so easy!.
Ohh I love your marble dishes 🖤 and the copper and white pan!!
There are some fantastic ideas here that I'm going to try.
I need to buy a bigger slow cooker for starters though!
Love your cooking videos, please do make some more. This is satisfying to watch and useful too.
Hi Emily, I really enjoyed this video & the recipes seem very quick & easy!! Thanks!! 👍👍👍
Love this! More meal prep ideas please! Just wondering how you store the egg muffins and how long can they be kept for?
I usually just use my slow cooker or the stove for soups.
Made the egg muffins for my partner for his breakfast tomorrow.. super easy and also smell and look really good!! Thank you for the inspiration ❤️
Love these recipes and food prep ideas for healthy meals without taking a whole day! Great video!
FabUlous X 👏🏻😘.great meal prep I am doing this too, to try and keep me on weight loss track and avoid picking the wrong choices at work.
Thank you for the inspiration everything looks great X
A stick blender is brilliant as you can do it straight in the saucepan ( providing its not non stick) easy to clean and store
Hi, love your videos! When you want to eat the Shepherd Pie later can you freeze it or store it without baking it first with the mash on top? Thanks for your answer!!
I would always cook it first then reheat when needed, but that is just what I tend to do. I am not sure if you can do it without. Thank you so much for watching x
I am so envious of this planning and organisation! When I grow up I want to be Emily Norris 🤣 Also, I have loads of those stacking Ikea boxes and it never occurred to me to use them for food - thanks for the idea 👍 x
Great video! Would love to see more like this! Soups are incredible ! Love to cook for my son, especially cream soup, you can put vegetables which the don't want to eat and it's good for 3 days, so you don't have to worry what to make!))
we really need more videos like this!!! very inspiring!!! and helpful of course! thank you!!!
I have the Morphy Richards soup maker- it’s amazing.
Love these ideas- thank you!
How did you manage to keep your dress clean?! 🙌🏼
