I'll add my vote for Yuve Yuve Yu. That was where I first encountered The Hu and it's still my favorite. You can find the lyrics online (both in Mongolian and translated to English). It's basically a lament, questioning why the young people are moving away from their heritage. It has such a strong, compelling melody. There's also a young man on The Voice who auditioned with throat singing. You can find the video on here by searching. Listening to him explain what throat singing is was really interesting. Thanks for a great reaction!
They uploaded both yuve yuve yu and wolf totem around the same time and so I think that's how most people were exposed I don't know how many watched wolf totem before yyy but those songs essentially put them on the map
It is Mongolian throat singing, some of there videos offer close caption, I use that to understand the songs. Yuve Yuve Yu is a great one check out. All there videos are cinematic.
Люблю ваши реакции! 🫶 Наблюдаю за вами с тех пор как вы начали реагировать на Диану Анкудинову ❤️ Эта группа тоже очень нравится!🔥 А вы очень красивый мужчина) 😊
Some interesting stuff I read. One of the bikers in a bandanna was the president of Mongolia at that time. Mongolia has never been conquered. 30% of the people are nomadic. It’s the most thinly populated country on earth (barring islands etc.) One line says it all “If you come with evil intentions we’ll give you a fight.” Well not all actually. The rest of the message is “If you fuck with us we will destroy you.”😊
The Hu is from Mongolia. There are versions of the video with English subtitles. Now, you should react to The Hu's cover of "Sad But True." Metallica actually re-tweeted it, which they almost never do.
They are so unique and awesome. Mongolian heavy metal. Authentic Instruments and throat singing. Just epic! They're definitely worth exploring. Yuve Yuve Yu, The Legend of Mother and The Song Of Woman with Lizzy Hale are great.
Love these guys! Glad you enjoyed them. Some other song choices would be: Song Of Women, ft. Lzzy Hale, Yuve Yuve Yu solo, or their new one-This Is Mongol ( Warrior Souls) ft William DuVall.
The Hu are great. I do prefer Yuve Yuve Yu but what they do is really pretty darn good, even if we don't know the language. But Wolf Totem was my 'first' of theirs, so it's nostalgic now for me. ☺
These guys are a hoot to see live. They do a collaboration with Lzzy Hale from Halestorm called "Song of Woman" I think you'd like, but what do I know, lol!
They're definitely "on fire" in live performances. I've never seen such a hard working energetic band during live performances. In fact, they're better live than on their two albums.
every time I see someone reacting I'm like "please say they have on translations" LMAO... I don't know if you can see them and we're not or if you didn't get to see them... the lyrics are epic.
The Hu are awesome. They have song a cover of Sad But True, by Metallica. They also got called in to make a song for one of the Star Wars games. It's called Sugaan Essuna. And on a side note, I would love to hear what you think of three of my fave K-pop groups. I'll leave a few songs for you to pic from. Dreamcatcher: "Chase Me", or "BEcause" Stray Kids: "Easy", or "Maniac" Kard: "Gunshot", or "Bomb Bomb"
This war chant from The HU is dope. Sometimes - like for this one - they have English subtitles. A Mongolian band singing in their language has worldwide success. I guess there are a very few other groups singing in their language with international success (the only other band I know doing this is the German industrial metal band Rammstein). (Except all bands who's native language is English ... of course. 😉 ) Suggestions for more official videos from The HU (in this sequence): Yuve Yuve Yu ruclips.net/video/v4xZUr0BEfE/видео.html This is Mongol ruclips.net/video/4Y2gK4n35hw/видео.html The Great Chinggis Khaan ruclips.net/video/pD1gDSao1eA/видео.html Sad but true (Metallica cover) ruclips.net/video/QpxA_ZxGX_M/видео.html They have made a couple of videos of their songs featuring other artists. There is only one that - from my perspective - has become better than the original: Song of Women feat. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm ruclips.net/video/mdN1U9NvuIc/видео.html For the following three videos I suggest this sequence as they tell a story. Black Thunder Part 1 (violence warning) ruclips.net/video/3aguZjkVLaE/видео.html Black Thunder Part 2 (violence warning) ruclips.net/video/MZ81-htej6E/видео.html Bii Biyelgee ruclips.net/video/eb3ysMtu8t0/видео.html Almost all _live_ videos from The HU I've seen so far had a poor sound quality, except these two: Covid-19 Relief Effort Fundraising Concert (1,25 hours, no audiance, good sound) ruclips.net/video/ik5qhnqIZy8/видео.html Mercury Ballroom FULL CONCERT (1,5 hours, good performance, acceptable sound) ruclips.net/video/p1n3mvYX1xg/видео.html These would of course be to long to react to. But maybe you want to pick out a certain song from those concerts to react to them playing live. Have fun.
They haven't done a bad song. Mongolian throat singing, traditional Mongolian instruments and stunning videos. Plus they are just a bunch of young men doing what they love. Can't go wrong.
Pronounced (who). Someone said Hu translates to Human or people.. but I am not sure if that is true or not. The instruments are traditional Mongolian instruments. Morin Khuur, it is a typical Mongolian two-stringed instrument played with a bow. And the Shanz, Shudraga , a plucked three string instrument. Many of their video's have translations on the CC. Their first video hit in 2018 with Yuve Yuve Yu. It's a very good one, I recommend it. Also there is one called The Song of Women, ft Lzzy Hale, from Halestorm. It's also great. Great reaction, have fun with these guys, they are very good.
Please listen to Sugaan Essena from The Hu, it's in an alien language from Star Wars called Huttese and they made it for the video game Jedi Fallen Order.
Hello from Puerto Rico. I love your reactions. The members of The Hu are Mongolians residing in Turkey. They use native Mongolian instruments. I suggest you to watch the video with the subtitles, you will enjoy the song even more. In the song they talk about warriors. I assure you that you will love it even more than you already did. Good job 👍🏼
hey man do not lie. The Hu members have never been resided in Turkey. They just had TV interview few days ago and they said they are with their family in Mongolia and very busy in working for Metaverse show.
@@ganburgedtseren1897 I just repeated an information that somebody wrote. I don't know if it is true or not. Either way it doesn't make any difference to me where they live. All I care is that they are a great band and I and many more people like their music.
This is going to seem random but we have talked before about your Dylan Thomas reference tattoo before This is about your upper arm character tattoo at 7:23 I studied Chinese so I was intrigued sadly even with a freeze frame I couldn't make it out easily The last one looks like wu which is most important in Daoist thought especially in «無為» wu wei or non action. Can I inquire about it?
No matter many times I hear this song, it ALWAYS brings up one question: in a 'hypothetical' fight, just EXACTLY who would win? The Mongolians at the HEIGHT of their strength/power (which if I'm not mistaken was under the leadership of the Great Ghengis Khan), or the Native American Indians at the HEIGHT of their strength/power (and unless I'm mistaken, there wasn't ANY Native American warleader/chief who united ALL the tribes into a single Nation/Entity/Force)? And before anyone says anything: YES, I know that these two Peoples lived in different Eras/Time-periods. However, their training/skills as Mounted Warriors were VERY similar. So again, just EXACTLY who would win in a 'hypothetical' battle between the Mongolians at the HEIGHT of their strength/power and the Native American tribes at the HEIGHT of their strength/power? I'd personally put my money on the Mongolians, simply because they were led by the Great Ghengis Khan. Now granted, I'm NOT Native American, so I personally would absolutely LOVE to hear what a Native American would think about a 'hypothetical' battle between these two Peoples (ESPECIALLY since any Native American would know the history of their People FAR better than I ever possibly could). Just my own personal opinion anyway.
fact is our mongolians believe we are children of Wolf and Goomaral( wich mythical animal looks like deer) so girls are smart and beautifull boys are great warriors that songs about our boys kkkk
"Ten Thousand of us will hand you the Wrath of Heaven" - Hellz YEAH! hehe

I second a vote for the catchy Yuve Yuve Yu. My favorite by these guys. Of course, do they have any bad songs? I think Not🤣🤣🤣🇨🇦
I can listen to them all day! Fell in love with them a few years ago! Love your reaction.
The 2 stringed instruments are called morin khuurs or horse head fiddles the guitar is called a tovshuur or Mongolian lute.
It is Mongolian throat singing, some of there videos offer close caption, I use that to understand the songs. Yuve Yuve Yu is a great one check out. All there videos are cinematic.
These guys got me through the covid year...(The lyrics comes with a youtube translation)

The Hu refer to their style as "Hunnu Rock". Many call it Mongolian Metal. Whatever it is, it surely gets the blood pumping. Hu! Hu! Hu!

I found this a couple of weeks ago. My reaction was the same as yours. The beat was amazing!
Very much like your thoughtful reaction. Love these guys, great thumpy in my head music.
Love these guys!
Glad you enjoyed them. Some other song choices would be: Song Of Women, ft. Lzzy Hale, Yuve Yuve Yu solo, or their new one-This Is Mongol ( Warrior Souls) ft William DuVall.
I always describe them as Mongolian BRMC (if you don't know what BRMC is, Google it) 😂 Their riff progression is similar. Very cool!
The Hu are great. I do prefer Yuve Yuve Yu but what they do is really pretty darn good, even if we don't know the language. But Wolf Totem was my 'first' of theirs, so it's nostalgic now for me. ☺
If this doesn't get your blood pumping nothing will!!!
You've just been introduced to Mongolian Throat Singing.
These guys are a hoot to see live. They do a collaboration with Lzzy Hale from Halestorm called "Song of Woman" I think you'd like, but what do I know, lol!

I really like your first two suggestions!
I think that throat singing is part of the Eskimo/Inuit culture too
Inuit style is more like Koryak, Chukchi, and other Far East Siberians. It's not really like Mongolian, Tibetan, and Tuvan.

My favorite "Dont start none, wont be none!" songs. ::edit:: surprised you didnt turn on the cc... the translation is there.
Turn the captions on. The lyrics is just pure badassery!
8:31 watch it again with CC turned on for translation.... but be prepared for the lyrics, they aren't subtle 😄
They are a Mongolian metal band that combines metal and traditional Mongolian throat singing and instruments and typically metal instruments
Pronounced (who). Someone said Hu translates to Human or people.. but I am not sure if that is true or not. The instruments are traditional Mongolian instruments. A three-stringed musical instrument is tovshuur, not shanz.
Listen to Mongol Warrior Souls' collaboration with the HU and Duvall from Alice In Chains. It's awesome.
Please listen to Sugaan Essena from The Hu, it's in an alien language from Star Wars called Huttese and they made it for the video game Jedi Fallen Order.
Uh, I love your reaction while watching the video 👍. But they are also really great 🔥🔥🔥

Song of Women ft Lzzy Hale is awesome. For a little harder sound, check out their song from the Star Wars Fallen Order video game.
I started out with yuve yuve yu
Great reaction! There is also a version of this song featuring Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach. That one is pretty cool too!
8:20 yes, they are Mongolian

Very male, very masculine, unapologetically so.
