"If humans come we fight and obliterate" - "They ain't playing"
Nope. Mongolians. They never played. ^^
Btw. in a fight I would want every single one of those guys in the video in my back - that would be one safe back. I do NOT want to fight against them. ^^

To understand the Hu's music, it pays to study some about Mongol history, especially about Genghis Khan, his successors, and the greatest contiguous land empire the world has ever known.

Check out "Yuve Yuve Yu", the song that first took them viral - it's more uptempo and melodic with a strong message about modern generations losing touch with ancestral values. And if you thought this one had nice landscape shots, you ain't seen nothing yet!
Really the entire album is excellent, with some really tender songs to balance out the swagger. And if you ever get a chance to see them live, they put on an incredible show!
The Hu go extra hard in showcasing the traditional instruments, but there are several other Mongolian bands doing their own takes on heavy rock with folk elements - check out Nine Treasures, Suld, and Hanggai if this is giving you a taste for more.

You cannot fault the mongolians on their patriotism. People often forget that they controlled 60% of the land mass of the globe at once point. If you mess with them you are a fool..... and their music is amazing. The Hu band must be a Mongolian national treasure and if they aren't they should be!

    Good reaction!
My very favorite song by The Hu, and one I very highly request that you react to, is The HU - The Great Chinggis Khaan (Official Music Video). Chingiss Khaan is the fellow we refer to in the U.S. as Genghis Khan. This song is a super badass tribute to him by the band. Not only is the music very stirring (great workout music), but they obviously had a big budget for the video and spent that money well to make it very visually impressive. It is a winner both musically and visually! It may well give you goose-bumps to experience it!

I would HIGHLY recommend looking into the Netflix series (that was unfortunately canceled) called Marco Polo. It tells the actual story of how Marco Polo came into the service of Kublai Khan, Chingiss Khan's grandson. THAT is where I first fell in love with Mongolian Throat Singing, and that led me to the HU, and I am forever grateful. The show has music throughout it that is amazing and worth a listen even if you don't watch the show! Enjoy!

The bird sounds at beginning and at end is their National Eagle of which the raise and train to hunt and kill small animals.
One can find documentaries on the Mongols of the Steepes and they are hardy SOB, even the women but as loyal in frienship and warmth to strangers butvnever get them PO'd.
Old Bud of military times traveled there as contract security for Canadian and foreign milneral firms, and swears he would join them no matter who they fought, most honest and stout hearted. Peoples and true Patriotic lovers of Mongolias past and present.
Now I have had trained Hawks and Perigren Falcons but damn man an eagle 4 and 5 times larger with talons over an inch longer come sit at call upon my arms, there is symbolism at its max.
Wolf totem refers to original Ghiingis Khan relations with wolves in youth.
