    A fabulous piece by Schumann and especially great because I haven’t heard it before. Murray Perahia is an excellent pianist and is also new to me! RUclips Premium has been a wonderful discovery because there are no ads and guides me to a never ending amounted of treasures!

    a statement by Schumann to the fans of Franz Liszt. that it's possible to have great virtuosity along with great art. this one work blows Liszt out of the water. Schumann had something that Liszt spent his later years trying to find. Divinity. and such an excellent recital as well.

    Perahia ist der Meister aller Meister! Er spielt diese Sonate schöner als die anderen Tempo-Freaks! Bedenklich, dass er viel weniger Klicks hat als alle die "Raser-Pianisten"
