PHIPPPPSSS!!! Great to see him back on camera!! Also, Some stories aren’t meant to be told.. lol.. The whole “oil shooting down the throat” was one of those.. lmbo!! Now you can’t get mad when your woman says “NO” !!! 😂😂 yall stay blessed!!
12:36 yes Sir! My older Petrol Motor was meant to have 5w 30, but I wasn't using it as Grandma I bought from was. I was doing 60 mile a day. 10w 40 was fine, the engine was running long enough to stop Condensation building up from using thicker oil!
It helps to tin the wire connections. Especially ignition wires. Another suggestion is to cut the oil filter down and examine the filter material for metal. It is a more accurate means of analyzing for metal particles.
I ordered some cleaning products from GMG. One of the bottles of ceramic sprey had leaked all over the other products. I notified GMG about this and they responded to me that i can unsubscribe if im not happy. You would think they would replace the leaking bottle , especially for a customer that has bought almost every GMG product they sell. But... no they could care less. Good luck if you order the cleaning products and dont expect GMG to make it right if their is a problem
I owned one of those. It was my very first automobile way back 40 years ago bought it for 100 bucks. My dad and I put a set of gaskets in. It had a blown head gasket and the guy that sold it to me thought the block was cracked $14 set of gaskets and I had a 67 Shelby Mustang 289 hypo, four speed dual exhaust and at the time it wasn’t any special car it was just a car I bought it for 100 bucks. I drove it for four or five years sold it for 500 and I thought I made a killing Until a couple months later in the article came out in hot Rod magazine about the fastback Mustang, and all of a sudden they’re worth more than my house😳 I would take the light bar all that crap off of that car snow tires and I would restore that to factory but Richard probably already has one or two of those stashed away somewhere that are worth three or four or $500,000
I've ran mobile one 25,000 mile oil with an extended performance mobil one filter since new on my 04 Ranger and it has never had a leak or anything and it runs smoother then Richards wallet at 111,111 miles 🤘
I like when they show you stuff and give you the reason why and also actually show you how to do it. good work guys and when I win the lottery I'll get you to do me a car but no pattina crap
Richard's mustang every time I've seen it is when he wants it worked on. Then again only time I really have seen is in fast and loud when Richard blew up the motor and now lol 😂
And the exhaust/suspension getting a name check or some freebies, also good advice for people watching who are new to vehicle ownership to check the basics on a regular basis too.
8:25, right is your nearside? Always when do Brakes here on my Rides the left Front (or nearside) is hit most. Maybe they work more under lower load driving, yet pick up alot more crap from the nearside edge of the Road? 🤷♂️
Great episode guys!good to see the illusive Phipps! I for one can’t wait for the ‘78 F100 build but the patina on that long bed’84 had better stay!love it,please clear coat it 🙏
I have a 1991 Chevy V3500 crew cab (last year square body) that has a brand new direct replacement GM crate engine that has a flat tappet cam. I have to use Valvoline VR1 racing oil, which is one of the few oils left that has zinc in it to protect my flat tappet cam.
In my experience you can tell if a car has had its oil changed correctly by the dipstick, unless stick been changed. They will have a burn or black place on the dipstick usually about half way up the stick. Generally if the dipstick looks good from top to bottom it has had decent oil changes. Just my experiences
This was definitely a paid for "live commercial" for Castrol Oil 🛢, and a little DJM, and Magnaflow either helping some with the bill for making the video or they're getting some free advertising for them because Richards hoping they return the favor with free or discounted merch later on down the road for a big build! Surprised they weren't wearing Castrol T-shirts instead of Gas Monkey ones, but there was still plenty of product placement in view for Big Oil! lol! Still a good entertainment video and good information given.
Hello guys, since your lowering the Ford truck, does that effect the drive shaft travel length going into the tail of the transmission ?? I had a 67 Chevrolet truck lowered, and to stop from damaging the automatic transmission I was told we needed to shorten the drive shaft was that good advice??
Hey guys, I've heard many times from different people over the years that you can buy a brand-new car and part it out for a significant profit, although I am yet to see someone actually do it. I think higher-end cars like Corvettes which are more likely to be crashed and also have components that can be used in older cars might be better for this. I think it would be an interesting video that nobody else has done.
Ronnie kessel of kessel motors in lugano has built a very similar version of this car and used it for the Lima to Cape Horn rally… you should do the same!
Richard, meet Richard! Yes, this Richard can read your mind! Richard Rawlings, i dont know about him reading mind. 😊 After Richard drove these muscle cars, it a must to check everything in the car. 😊 He will drive them hard. That what she said. Richard should get a second check for metal in the motor oil. Kenny 😂
Great to see the legend back PHIPPS!!! We're as he been? The shows complete again!!
Agreed
Really enjoying the new (old crew). More Phipps, and Kenny is completely under rated! Go Gas Monkey, keep moving forward!
I really like this crew.
THERE'S PHIPPS!!
KEEP doing what you do!!!❤❤❤❤
PHIPPPPSSS!!! Great to see him back on camera!! Also, Some stories aren’t meant to be told.. lol.. The whole “oil shooting down the throat” was one of those.. lmbo!! Now you can’t get mad when your woman says “NO” !!! 😂😂 yall stay blessed!!

Has Monkey Garage is looking better than ever, keep up the good work fellas.
Thanks for watching! 🔥
One of my favorite Mustang from the movie Tomas crown affair....beautifully built
Hello. Richard , and Crew 👍
Good to see Phipps in a video.
Most satisfying oil changes ever! Nice to see ya, Phipps😃👍 and to be fair , it was more than just 31:30 minutes of just Castrol commercial🙂
12:36 yes Sir! My older Petrol Motor was meant to have 5w 30, but I wasn't using it as Grandma I bought from was. I was doing 60 mile a day. 10w 40 was fine, the engine was running long enough to stop Condensation building up from using thicker oil!
Nice to see Phipps there…. I miss his smile👍🏻
Great to see Uncle Phipps again! Missed ya buddy
I love when richard goes out to restaurants by himself and eats tacos at restaurants 😁
It helps to tin the wire connections. Especially ignition wires. Another suggestion is to cut the oil filter down and examine the filter material for metal. It is a more accurate means of analyzing for metal particles.
You guys make a GREAT couple!
Birthday oil throwing was funny 😂
Better to be on the other side of the story 🤣
I ordered some cleaning products from GMG. One of the bottles of ceramic sprey had leaked all over the other products. That Mustang is spectacular. I loved it when I saw it in The Thomas Crown Affair, and I think it’s my favorite car in the Gas Monkey collection.
I owned one of those. It was my very first automobile way back 40 years ago bought it for 100 bucks. My dad and I put a set of gaskets in. I was happy to see Phipps back, i was wondering where he was.? The old fella is not only a nice guy, he's a wealth of knowledge.
Great to see PHIPPS🇬🇧👍👍
PHIPPS!!!!!!!!!
I've ran mobile one 25,000 mile oil with an extended performance mobil one filter since new on my 04 Ranger and it has never had a leak or anything and it runs smoother then Richards wallet at 111,111 miles 🤘
A surprisingly enjoyable oil change video. Good fun.
“Man you gonna come at me with a question like that….. molecules”. Hahahaha
Whoever is watching this video, I hope this day will be a great day.
I like when they show you stuff and give you the reason why and also actually show you how to do it. good work guys and when I win the lottery I'll get you to do me a car but no pattina crap
There's a lot of oil going on, how funny is this love these two
Richard's mustang every time I've seen it is when he wants it worked on. Then again only time I really have seen is in fast and loud when Richard blew up the motor and now lol 😂
Yay 😁 phipps you been hiding.good to see phippstar
That Car is so Richard!!!
Does the Thomas Crown Affair mustang have a top. If it does show it .
It's a 31 minute video of an oil change sponsored by Castrol.
And the exhaust/suspension getting a name check or some freebies, also good advice for people watching who are new to vehicle ownership to check the basics on a regular basis too.
And? Why are you hating ? Do you pay their sponsorship? You should be thankful we have free content to watch 😂

Lubrication Porn !!!
I made it through 7:54 before I realized this was just a clickbait money grab
8:25, right is your nearside? Always when do Brakes here on my Rides the left Front (or nearside) is hit most. Maybe they work more under lower load driving, yet pick up alot more crap from the nearside edge of the Road? 🤷♂️
84 ford 6 takes 6 and half quarts depending on the oil pan. And the old Town cars of that Era had two drain plugs front and back on the pan.
I love that mustang so much. That and the bullitt mustang are my favorites
Mobil 1 and Motorcraft filters is the right way to go.
Clean, Cool, Lubricate but also seal and prevent rust. Oil does a lot of things
Great episode guys!good to see the illusive Phipps! I for one can’t wait for the ‘78 F100 build but the patina on that long bed’84 had better stay!love it,please clear coat it 🙏
Phipps 😊😊😊 !!!
I never knew John C Reilly was a mechanic!!

😂😂 phibs "i ain't falling for that again" 😂😂
@RICHARD RAWLINS gotta love ya 👍🏻You've got us watching your lads fix your car so you can break it again you fucking Legend 🍻👍🏻👍🏻
Phipps 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Is Richard a multimillionaire by now? He must be.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

I love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 this show ♥️ 😍 ❤️ 👏 🙌 👌
Castrol advert.Richard has a new sponsor!

Almost 32 minutes of hidden Castrol advertisement...*lmao*
That is one car you can almost guarantee Richard loves and will not sell that’s his baby
Damn I love that truck. Would be nice if the interior was redone for comfort but love the exterior.
They lowered it to ghetto height and it's a Ford. I'd rather walk.
Kenny is the last man standing?😅
germany luvs yall
Rich rawlings keep on rolling rolling rawhide🤠👍
I see Phipps is out of prison again 😂
I would leave the tire off around town ... cool car .
I voted for that longbed cos its very strait
I’ve always liked that mustang and I know Richard has a partnership with general tires but I sure miss seeing those BFG KO 2’s tires on there
Great to see Phipps again
Next like see the digger finished! Can’t wait for that update video ugh !
Hot Damn Richard didn’t fire Phipps!!!
We need a "Phipps Thought of The Day"! segment. Make it so
Hello guys, since your lowering the Ford truck, does that effect the drive shaft travel length going into the tail of the transmission ?? I had a 67 Chevrolet truck lowered, and to stop from damaging the automatic transmission I was told we needed to shorten the drive shaft was that good advice??

Driver side brakes are first to go where I’m from, probably eating traffic stirs up dust and other abrasives.
you said yall use 5w30 , the can one your pouring out of says 10w-30....?
No gap spark plugs......❤
❤ from fort Worth Texas in your house 🏠❤
I wish I could get a factory highland green convertible mustang in a later model like 2007+.
This is the longest oil commercial I have ever seen
That car is just so damn cool! Worse thing for any vehicle is sitting though. They just don't like it.
What is this auto shop 101 the bolt the nut it's called a drain plug Kenny. Get Phipps on this glad he is back. 🤣🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Do you all put the zinc additive in your old motors
I agree with Richard ,he seems to have the best crew yet.
Is that synthetic oil you’re using, because that’s what I would go with
Ronnie kessel of kessel motors in lugano has built a very similar version of this car and used it for the Lima to Cape Horn rally… you should do the same!
I remember George Forman came and stole it for a lil while 🤣😂🤣
... put a third pedal in while your at it .... great car no matter
Love that truck, 300 takes 6 quarts
This totally wasn't a Castrol Syntec ad.
It needs a Holley Sniper setup.
My adblocker didn't work at all on this video. Weird.
You need all the ice you get to hold together that Rustang.
says 5w30 as hes pouring 10w30 oil in it
Richard fixing his toy!
Saludos desde argentina..
I wouldn’t be putting 10/30 full synthetic in the shop truck, it’ll go through that really quick.
How about 20/50 semi synthetic?
Richard, meet Richard! Yes, this Richard can read your mind!
