Thanks Joel, I was out Friday arvo and it was really hot, the camera overheated and I lost footage, but still got enough to make a video, should be a good one. Cheers, Pete
Thanks Bruce, there a good machine and are well priced and they actually find good gold. I enjoy using the monster, it's good fun smashing the small gold. Cheers, Pete
Pete- I would back up a ute and take some of that mullock heap dirt for later panning or sluicing - looks awesome. Well done on the channel - im enjoying it- cheers
Hi Phil, if you are referring to the gold in the latest video the 4500 had been over it several times and didn't find it. I first found that patch over 12 years ago and there's still hold there, so that says something. The ground there is mineralised, I'm thinking it blocks out the sensitivity of the 45 and the 6 handled it a little better, although still noisy. Cheers Pete
Hi Pete. I was referring to the Video called Victorias Golden Triangle Episode 1 where you found a few very reefy bits with the Monster.. Is the Monster more sensitive or do just enjoy using it sometimes.
Right o, sorry. The monster is far more sensitive and will find micro dots even a 6000 won't pick up, there problem is they struggle in mineralised ground, so around Bendigo your a little restricted, but if you prospect around Ballarat you'll have a huge area to prospect. Monsters like pipe clay and if there's gold there they'll be onto it. So on the right ground monsters are quite fun to use.
Thanks Pete. I am up in the Bathurst region and use the SDC and panning mainly at Hill End. My mate has a monster. Really appreciate your videos. Good on you.
Hi Col, Glad you enjoy the video's. Here is a link to the merch store petesgoldadventures.tshirts.net.au/ there is a link in every video in the discription. Thanks for supporting the channel. Cheers, Pete
Yeah, a lot of the heaps in that area have been pushed by a dozer at some stage, I always try to pull back the dirt to make it neat, otherwise it's like leaving a hole open. Cheers Pete
A monster will find smaller but an SDC is a lot more universal, it will work in all conditions and find small gold, a monster needs low mineralised ground, but it will find micro dots and there is heaps of micro gold out there.
I normally just sell my gold as nuggets, I don't have much fine stuff that you would smelt, people prefer natural nuggets over bars. Dan from Rock and Ore just purchased a little furnace, he plans to smelt some gold soon, check out his channel. Cheers, Pete
Good on you mate your in God's country i saw 2 nuggets dug out from a site cut on a new estate in Bendigo at jackass flat one 5 g and the other 7g plenty of gold enjoy yourself
@@PetesGoldAdventures Yes we bought 2 of them in the last 3 months and with some pointers from Josh at Chasing Gold Australia have managed to bring home 20 small pieces the last 2 weekends we have been out, great fun and the kids love them ! Keep up the good work!
@@markrobson948 Thanks great Mark, if there's small gold around, they will be onto it and it's great to get the kids involved. Josh is a good man, I've been out with him a few times now, I went down his way a couple of times and he came along to my subs day out. Cheers, Pete
Thanks mate, they sure are, but they are capable of finding the bigger stuff, there's just a lot more small stuff around, I'm taking it out tomorrow arvo and I know It will smash the small gold, all good, I'll take gold in any size, It's just fun getting the little guys. Cheers, Pete
nice video Pete, love the bit near the end about persistence after finding old mate , i got me some of that some days old mate hammers one to death lol
Thanks Neil, There was more lead shot, but it's on the cutting room floor. I got lucky just taking the top off that heap, I've done it before for no result. You need to get yourself a Monster mate, good little backup for a quick gold fix, I'm heading out tomorrow arvo for a quick session and I can guarantee the little monster could pick up a dozen little guys, there just good fun. Cheers, Pete
Great vid pete the sdc with a boost could pick up those little bits my smallest i think was round .025 lol, those jaggerdy reefy bits i think r pritty cool they got some character bout them.👍⛏🍻
Thanks mate, the first nugget went .37, I think the 4500 would have picked that up before i scraped the surface, got lucky walked straight up to that heap and pulled the top off, you get lucky sometimes. Reef gold is always interesting and no gold has worn off, so thats a win. Cheers, Pete
Good day to you Pete looks like you finally found a bit of luck , very nice reef like pieces , looks like a small patch you found. Congrats on the win any gold is good gold ! The Monster has proven itself time and again since it's launch. Great for targeting amazingly small gold. Great show today Pete , way to keep inspiring others to get up and keep trying. You totally proved that today. Thanks for a great one my friend. Till the next one. Cheers
Raking the pipe clay ruins the mounds for everyone. Especially Monster hunters. Nothing worse than getting to diggings to find someone else has raked it and ruin it. If you just dig what you can hear. You can come back and find more another time. Raking is like fishing with explosives.
Should see the wild dog diggings outside dunolly, an army of gold monster wielding tossers absolutely levelled the place, pulled so many piles apart for some specs, I understand that if you are chasing a run of nuggets that's one thing but to level things in the hopes is not the go, as far as I've see I think the fella in the video at least rakes things back and tries to put it back as best he can, wish more would do the same
Sorry to hear that Brad, but I always drag the dirt back up to make the heap look neat, I try not to destroy it, I feel it's as bad as leaving a dig hole open. Cheers, Pete
@@PetesGoldAdventures good to know Pete. I just spent the weekend looking at wrecked Mullocks, voud of hd and got moody. Love your videos even find myself muttering about my old mate lead shot out in the fields these days. Keep up the great work
In my next video I do return to that heap and take some dirt to wash, but I do pull the dirt back to smooth it out, hoping this doesn't stop you watching the video. The "Old mate lead shot" has stuck in the minds of a lot of prospectors and I get told quite often they say it to themselves as a result of my video's, funny and cool. Thanks for your comments. Thanks Ron, It was nice reefy gold, the monster saved the day.

Yes that monster is one Good monster and yes good looking reefy gold love that gold Cheers Ron
I tried something similar only yesterday in Creswick, no joy but the theory is sound
The VLF detectors these days are very sensitive and do well on the small gold, keep at it and you will get results.

@@PetesGoldAdventures I always get something outta tha creek, so I do get my fix! I will come up at some stage over the next month or so, regards!
Lucky u had the monster on hand great video cheers Glenno
Sure was Glenno, although the 45 would have picked up all but one, but the monster does make them pop.
