Obviously English isn't your first language. If you're going to do a video in English, have someone who actually speaks it properly proofread your screen captions. It looks foolish.
I visited the Rolls Royce production line at the original home of the Marque in Crewe in the 1980`s and the workers there were just as highly skilled in hand-making the seats, wiring looms, wooden dashboards and other interior woodwork. Not forgetting the leather workers sorting out the matching hides, which is a skill in itself. Watching the engines being bench-tested was a bit of a surprise, along with the number of coats of paint being applied by the Coach-painters. I was invited to select two identical hides and failed miserably by missing a very slight shade difference on one of them. I could see where the money was being spent on producing such a beautiful car. I don`t know what it is about the modern Royce cars but they just don`t have the same look of elegance of the older types, maybe its just me being an old fashioned traditionalist.
I dare say you are being a bit nostalgic. The original owners lacked the technology or capital to build a next generation vehicle on a new architecture. The BMW Group had the resources to make a long-term commitment to the brand and has gone to great lengths to respect the hand-built nature of the product while automating where it makes technical sense so to do.
I'm 64 now... and I dream like a little boy since many many years to drive a Rolls Royce... just for an hour or so... to feel the highend of this kind of a "car"... it must be a legendary feeling!!! ❤❤❤
This is unfortunately a thing that happens to very few people. There are, however, test days directly organised by Rolls Royce... or car shows, where you can at least sit in them (but probably not drive much)
@@johnlundvall8911 Yes it is, you've clearly never see lines applied free hand. There are so many giveaways in this and other videos but there are five you can clearly see here. 1. The line is already painted. 2. His hands are shaking too much. 3. He's moving too slowly. 4. The brush isn't coming close to the edges of the existing line. 5. The brush is wrong for lining long panels. In other videos you see him paint between masking. You've been taken in, try not to be so gullible before making caims.
Each car is a work of art perfection. I bet many of the people who can afford a RR don't appreciate the insane quality. I can't afford one but I truly appreciate every inch of it from every angle.

I have seen people be persecuted for driving a nice car.... What a lovely video. My wife and I have been many times at Goodwood and seen the Rolls Royces testing at the circuit but we've never been in the nearby factory. As we've been GRRC members we had the opportunity to take part of a guided tour but we missed that so this video was really special for us. Many thanks!
The epitome of craftsmanship and luxury! Just beautiful. That such a work of art still exists in the age of automotive robots is a testimony to the the legacy of Rolls! Bravo well done!
Actually, this car is not a work of art. In fact, it’s carefully designed to avoid any artistic expression. A boring exterior, and an engine that’s covered with plastic. It’s an anti-Rolls Royce.

I remember watching the coach line painter being interviewed. He does it all free hand and is the very last employee to perform work on a car before it leaves the factory. Sometimes they’ll fly him to various parts of the world to hand paint coach lines on a car after it is already in the possession of its owner. I’ve flown quite a few Rolls Royces over the years. Generally from Western Europe to Eastern Asia. I haven’t flown all that many cars (from any brand) as much lately though, as the world is still getting caught back up from the pandemic supply crunch.
The line painter is also called a pinstripe. My grandfather was a pinstriper for Chevrolet. It's almost a lost art with so few of the old masters left.
You were taken in, Mark Court doesn't have a clue about hand painting lines and this is why you'll never see him apply one. In that interview (if it's the one I'm thinking of) he even gives himself away.
They went bust remember, they weren't particularly advanced nor technically up with the rest, rich people can make or break you if you can't provide the goods they're willing to spend big on, "the customer is always right."
