I just freaking love this song and Chris. His death is still so heartbreaking, it hasnt gotten any easier to accept. No one sings like you anymore, you are insanely missed. Rest in peace my friend.
Actually he is a very bluesy singer all around on his songs, that's what's so great about his style, Grunge, heavy and blues, it's like a better version of Robert Plant, the 90's 00's version of him
Chris was an amazing talent and performer. He had such candor. And when you have Eddie singing backup for you. You know you're the man. This band was amazing and I wish I could have seen them together live. I did however have the pleasure of seeing Chris live on his Higher Truth tour months before his passing and I'll cherish that forever. RIP Chris.
I’m 17 years old now and I very love this song. Little depressive feeling when I listen, but this guitar riff is amazing. I love grunge music! I love Temple of the dog! Hello from Ukraine 🇺🇦. Rip Chris Cornell
One of the greatest vocalists we have ever had on this planet. He had a talent for songwriting, and his lyrics are pure poetry coupling that into his range and vocal timbre that surpassed several octaves, Cornell was unique in everything he did and his art touched so many, may he rest in peace CHRIS!!!
This is a power performance in every way! I listen to it on a regular basis, whenever I need extra energy to deal with the world, which is very often lol
debbiemacd , I've had the hardest time explaining this to my 14 year old son who is/was a huge fan of all of Chris' work. It may be because I've had such a hard time explaining it to myself, IDK? I've never seen the term "gutted" used in this type of context, but I haven't found a better way to describe it. I've been known to use some colorful, creative, and sometimes crude terms depending on the situation at hand, but that's a new one even for me, and I thank you!!
McCready went out of his mind!!! The amount of talent hard work combined on that stage is ridiculous. Great video thank you for sharing so we could celebrate them for a little bit today!
This is the best comment on here, we know Chris can sing, and Matt's a great drummer and bass player and Goddard are on point, but McCready guitar playing is so fluid. I was in the British library near Albert hall, and asked Chris who happened to be in there before the day of a gig, I said whose the best musician you've played with outside of Soundgarden, without missing a beat he said Mike, he's amazing player, and I'm sure Chris has been.on stage with enough good musicians to know. They say don't meet your idols but Chris was a sweetheart. RIP

I dunno man. The 80s and 90s from this scene had some amazing talent. Chris, Eddie, Kurt, Layne, Lanegan. All distinctly different but all were amazingly huge
I will put it like this: Chris could cover anyone but no one can cover him. And that is a fact. They might attempt something but alas, can’t happen as there will always ever be One Chris Cornell. I wish rip meant Return if Possible.
Its one of those nother pinnacle moments in music goodneeesss boys. Sucks that not all of them are here with us today. Feels like just yesterday with all them singin and playin like that

Oh my wasn't that a fantastic gig?! They were the best band that day by miles!
Well, I had a dream the other night
You were in a bar in the corner on a chair
Wearing a long white leather coat
Purple glasses and glitter in your hair
And you said "hey this is where I'm gonna sit
And buy you a drink someday
Well, you were going to the dog shows
But you kinda lost your way
Now you said "now I got all this room
And no money to decorate it, "
So some local customer put me in touch with the man upstairs
But he said "little man you got no business gettin' frustrated
You gotta rest you gotta rest, you gotta rest"
You gotta reach down and pick the crowd up
Oh, I wanna reach down and pick the crowd up
Carry back in my hand to the promised land
To the promised land
Ooh, I had an angel shine my wings
She said, "nothin' but the best for the golden boy
And she made me promise not to tell
I had her under a spell
Singin' golden words in a broken voice
Now I caught a blessing on the wind
I'm feelin' lighter than a breath from a dove
I got no hands to tie behind my back
And I'm sparkin' like a heart attack
And I got room to spread my wings
And my messages of love, yeah
Love was my drug
But that's not what I died of
So don't ya' think of me
Cryin' louder than some billion dollar baby
Ooh, I wanna rest I wanna rest I wanna rest
I wanna reach down and pick the crowd up
I wanna reach down and pick the crowd up
Carry back in my hand to the promised land
To the promised land
To the promised land
Oh
Yeah, ooh ooh
Yeah, I wanna reach down
Oh yeah, and pick the crowd up
(I wanna reach down) I wanna reach down
(And pick the crowd up) and pick the crowd up
(Carry back in my hand) hand
(To the promised land) to the promised land
(To the promised land) ooh yeah
Ah oh
