After Soundgarden sadly split up Matt Cameron joined another huge grunge band called Pearl Jam and he is still with them today if you want to check him out:)
You know your band is going to be good when you have probably the best drummer and singer of this era. It doesn't hurt to have a legendary guitar player also
2013 had the oppurtunity to see soundgarden in vancouver, free ticket, just had to pay for my flight, told my friend, nah not this time man, they'll make their rounds again, i never seen them live, always wanted to. Id say one of the biggest regrets i ever made
With a voice like Chris you see it hundred times, they pound out the hits screeching their voice and it sound amazing but as time unfolds so does their voice; to the point, they can't sing the songs the way we remember them because they are too old and the vocals to worn out. But this video shows that either Chris never pushed his voice so we may never know the true depth of his rnage or 2 his range was so natural he didn't have to push it. One of the top vocalist of any genre of his generation.
I love that in this band Chris Cornell looks average height. I met Chris in Denmark in 05' at Roskilde. He's a comfortable 6'3" if not 6'4". They grow em big in Seattle!
saw soundgarden at underground atl in 94 ,was awesome then took my daughter to see them 2014 at tabernacle an that time Chris and the band were loud as fuck and awesome as jesus and the apostles , just kick ass without a doubt

Their guitar sessions performances put me in the mind state of Linkin Park performances on AOL they are absolutely phenomenal and for those who've seen it know that Chester did that long note on Given Up something he didn't do often. Awesome song. But I just cannot stand it how somewhere along the line (for whatever reason) Matt Cameron made the huge mistake to speed up the songs, even before he started mangling Pearl Jam's ones. Bring back Dave! Does anyone know why Matt started doing this? [el'sda2].
Kim Thayil....soooooooooooooooo underated.
Only by those that don't know better😉
Yes hes a fuckin guitar God!!!!🤘
I gotta admit, I didn't give Kim the credit he deserved, he's so killer

a bit dramatic there, every zappa band ever assembled was tighter than soundgarden

Yer still seems bit over it. N get that.
Kim...is like the leader of a motorcycle gang!
What grunge was mostly all about...the guitar riffs and sound...no one was better at it than Soundgarden!!
+DASamX5453 Soundgarden and Alice in Chains were both great in my opinions. Didn't care for Nirvana or Pearl jam that much
+James Bargar what about STP?
I like Alice in Chains more, Soundgarden is my second. Ehhhh, personal opinions..............
agree
M.L. Crow agree
Kim Thayil was a total Guitar Hero...
Is dude Is😑😑😑
like the attitude of the bass player
Sir Ben, for you.
Hands down, the best riff of the 90s
Best riff of the 90’s was Room A Thousand Years Wide
@@kmsharley75 No way, Spoonman is way better. Rooms is super simple, not that special for Soundgarden.
Outshined > spoon man
Spoonman riff owes a lot to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
No the best riff comes from "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains

Still missing you Chris, 5/18/2020.💔
sorry guys i have to tell THIS IS THE BIGGEST BAND OF THE 90s GRUNGE ROCK.
Just your opinion, the biggest (in general) is Nirvana by far (liked it or not) but my personal is Alice in Chains then Soundgarden.
Nep... Nirvana = Alice in chains = Soundgarden = Pearl Jam
Gary nuñez why not include stp?
STP is my favorite. Then alice then soundgarden but "you know you're right" is a great song by Nirvana i just didnt get into them much
M.L. Crow AIC was great. Soundgarden was great. Two legendary singers gone way to soon. RIP Cornell
Best recording yet about Artis, the real spoonman from Seattle. RIP Chris.
RIP to one of the greatest!! best alternative álbum of the 90s

Matt's also a great song writer. He's written some of my favorite Soundgarden AND Pearl Jam songs!

You can always tell a band hates playing a song theyve played a billion times,by how fast they play it
Metallica plays everything double speed live.
To be fair they played all their songs at a faster speed during this Guitar Center concert.
Goddamn this feels like a new Soundgarden reunion concert. I forget the great Chris Cornell is gone.
Chris was the quintessential rock star.
Totally BADASS!
Sleep well, xx

he is flat literally the entire song
Fuck yeah! SPOONMAN!!
Ben Shepherd is a dawg. That’s a real nasty bass tone. Perfecto. Also Matt Cameron rules. Seattles finest rhythm section.
Mr. Alice Cooper said it best, talking about Chris and Chester. He basically said if you are in that kind of trouble, "Get some help."
