a bunch of Rangers actually robbed a bank. Tactically flawless. In and out with no incidents. Cleared in minutes. Got caught because one of them was stupid enough to use his own car as the getaway vehicle and a bystander just snapped a photo of these operators getting into the car. High speed, high drag.
you should also watch the time an Ranger and his buddies got into gunfight with the Crips that were selling drugs in his neighborhood and being a nuisance.
I'd like to see them React to Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, there's some pretty cool special forces scenes in them including and SAS Desert raid.
As a 23 year veteran of the Dept in the movie and a SWAT negotiator, yes at the time I worked there every SWAT call out was approximately $90k. D platoon had unlimited resources, but yes we wouldn't repel onto a bank rooftop.

Cool, it’s the opening episode of The Unit, first season. That FNG joins CAG, gets a slick .22 (for free), then this same scenario on a plane. Except not in training, and I think the bad guys had spotters to make sure nobody approached the plane. I don’t recall the details, it’s been a while, but I’m pretty sure it all made sense at the time. Underrated show.
The Kingdom was Excellent! The cast was stellar - Jamie Foxx,Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Chris Cooper, and the stand-out Ashraf Barhom as Agent Faris.
you missed the sniper scene where Renner shoots down the chopper, and the limo fight on the bridge. I was waiting for Buck to go nuts tearing those scenes apart.
To everyone at FNG Academy, fucking thank you for what you do. For your sacrifices and honor in every moment yesterday, today and tomorrow. Our department has a cage like that. Well there's no "cage" but an open room with 4 work stations including compressed air & every gunsmithing tool you can imagine. They also have along one wall every replacement part for the Glock 21,17,& a bunch of boxes from Rock River who has the duty carbine contract. I've never worked in it as it's our "Red shirts" training division who rotates armory duty. Im in school protection and only go when I need something fixed or replaced. They do a deep clean of everyone's sidearm from school protection after our in-service training/quals with staggered course's every summer.
Forrmer Australian Commando. We used to have a mock commercial plane for TAG rotation training on base. That guy popping the bad guy through the front windshield with a pistol is complete BS. Those windshields have dual commercial-grade tempered glass with an inter-layer in between. We would have guys set up for 2-3 simultaneous shots with 417s (762s) just to penetrate.

Question on the airplane training scene: would a .45 ACP round penetrate an airplane windshield? My guess would be no since they have to be able to withstand bird strikes and hail stone impacts. Thoughts?
So a little behind the scene research you would know that the reason the opening scenes looked like the North Hollywood shootout is because is was supposed to resemble it and the police call was taken from a call that came in that day filming and it was used
Up in Washington, some Rangers robbed a bank. As soon as the police saw the tape, they knew it was Rangers, and started working with Lewis-McChord to figure it out.
Based off your love of the plane scene Id recommend it but can’t remember the name of the movie it’s about the gign plane hostage rescue or just the rescue
