Normally watching these kinds of videos doesn't create a solution for me, but this one actually did. I'm incredibly impressed and thank you so much!
I found that the command line "copy (star).(star) .." does not find a file however the command line "copy .." will result in the files being copied.

I never comment on videos, but I'm taking the time to comment on yours because it actually helped me get this problem fixed. I am so grateful to you... I had not backed up my files, so I probably would have lost them all if it wasn't for you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! @@Britec09I get error the system cannot find file specified
I am confused by what I can see on the screen as you talk through the instructions. 1) when you are in the config folder the contents are visible on the screen and there is no regback folder for you to move to, but you execute a 'cd regback' command and mover there. I can't see how this was possible. 2) I checked two of my PCs and the laptop that wouldn't boot and none of them had no files in regback, so I couldn't use this fix. What created the the recovery files in the regback folder on your machine?
Thank you so much. Like many others here, you have no idea how much you have done for me. I really appreciate it. This is one of the most important videos I have ever seen. Thank you.
I’ve had so many issues recently with my laptop. Really needed it tonight to finish up some work and got this blue screen on startup. Thank you SO much for this wonderful video. Restarted and she started up no problems! Plus I felt like a real computer genius typing in all the codes thanks to you!

Dude, you rock auto update gave me this error and you my friend fixed it... thnx.
Hi! Thank you very much for making this video! Like seriously, the same happened to me some months ago and what i did was: Install Ubuntu on a different partition (With a higher size than the files i had on Windows 10) once my Ubuntu was ready and stable what i did was to copy the whole "Users" directory from the windows partition to the Ubuntu one. Once the files were safe i deleted the windows partition and installed a new fresh Windows 10, and again when it was stable what i did was to copy everything back to Windows from Ubuntu. Then i deleted the Ubuntu partition and added those free GB to the new Windows Partition. That worked perfectly for me. But i sincerely would love had found your video that time.
Thank you very much again! I had to do a lot of important stuff and i needed a fast solution.
11/10.
Seriously, thanks.

Ken Davis after typing d is the process similar to the vedio
I did used C too instead of D. And it worked
I had to try to use e.
For those of you who are having the problem with the empty regback directory, this is how I got around that. First, my windows drive is C, not D
Second, the X Drive holds the files in my case during the troubleshooting portion of this.
I backed up the system32/config files on the C Drive as the video showed then went to the X Drive and copied the system32/config files to the C Drive, same folder
After a lengthy reboot, everything came back up.
Hope this helps
