Wow what an amazing video. I was crying at the end because you can still feel the pain and sadness and emotion they have from these memories. Yet they are strong enough and brave enough to sit and tell their stories still. No body can imagine what they go through or have went through. Thank you guys for this video and I look forward to the next one!
I agree. It’s very heartfelt. I’m still shocked after this weekend. His mom and dad were very upstanding folks! Billy will give you alot of funny farm stories. You guys as fans, i think will really enjoy it more.
Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith, MMK, it's definitely time for a book. YOUR book. I can't thank you all enough for these precious moments. Watching you is a Good Thing for us all to enjoy.
Thank you for another excellent video Billy and Jo. Thank you for speaking out and setting the record straight. I and so many other Elvis fans support you and appreciate you standing up for the legacy of Elvis.
Priscilla I'm sure told her version so here we are You t wo are so blessed to have known Elvis in your telling Shows how much you love him .E was Blessed Thank You
Thank you guys, another truly special video. I completely agree with your thoughts on how Vernon and Gladys are portrayed in the movie. I am trying to look at the bigger picture and how many new fans are joining our Elvis family. It is our duty as Elvis fans to make them aware of the truth…when they learn that they will love him even more ❤
Please don't get depressed Mr. Billy. Elvis wouldn't want that for you. Wr true Elvis fans are learning so much about him and you. I know you get tired and need to rest and we understand that but for now his "Elvis" truth keeps marching on because of you. Much love and many prayers
Elvis is still continuing to be blessed, having you here Billy, to tell the truth. I was 3 weeks shy of being 1 when he passed. I’ve always been an Elvis fan. It makes me sad that I wasn’t old enough to experience his talent while he was here on earth. I did see the movie and I did like some parts, but I know the truth wasn’t told correctly.
I did not know what to expect today(I always heard really bad things about that time). Gladys and Vernon sounded like very upstanding people! I cried during the movie, but it was great learning more about his parents. My family had great things to say about them both. This was very informational. Thank you.
Cant wait to watch this 🤘 Edit: thank you both for your opinions about this movie. They are very valued! I appreciate everything you do for the Evis world! ⚡TCB
@@conniediaz6456 Elvis had TCB necklaces made for all of the Memphis Mafia(the friends he hung around with) TCB is big in the Elvis world. Taking care of Business
Mr Billy and Miss Jo-I’m begging you, please, please write a book because we all know it would be the TRUTH! And to hear your voices on audiobook would be amazing! It would be carried on long after we are all gone. Elvis would back you-you and Jo were and still are his biggest defenders of truth ❤️❤️❤️
😊so thankful you two are here to set the record straight....Hollywood is Hollywood and money talks...wish they would have consulted people who actually knew the family...as you pointed out...love your videos and thank you for your time and energy of keeping the stories straight...you two lived life at Graceland..you knew the REAL truths of life with Elvis...I wish I could have seen him perform...I was 18 when he passed....again thank you for the memories ❤❤❤
From the books I read about Gladys and Vernon they got them totally wrong in the movie. Thanks for the video and thanks for sharing your experiences with Elvis.
Alanna did say Baz and his research team read her book “Revelations from the Memphis Mafia” and “The Colonel”. So perhaps some of the information was taken from that? I so loved to hear you speak about Gladys, so few people are left to tell how she really was.
The newest book about Elvis, “Destined To Die Young”, (2021), was not read by the director, Baz Nuhrmann because it wasn’t finished when Baz was making the movie. So there are discrepancies in the movie for sure.
I really appreciate your opinion and truth on the new Elvis movie. It still bewilders me on WHY didn’t someone talk to y’all about this movie BEFORE any filming had begun . Looking forward to part 3 . God Bless -Ruby NC
I agree with you totally. The movie did not reflect the truth at all. So sad. I hope one day the truth will be told. I still miss Elvis. He was one of a kind. Will never be another voice or person like him.
Unfortunately the real story will never be told because of the executors of his estate (Priscilla being one of them) like to keep up a certain narrative concerning Elvis. it's no coincidence that his autopsy has been sealed for 50 years another way to control a non-drug related death possibly.
I am so thankful for your amazing memories Billy and Jo. Your memories are a true blessing to me. Thank you so much for telling us the real story. God bless you both! Jeff Carlson
Thanks Billy and Jo. Being the closest to Elvis is nothing but the truth and I believe you totally. I watch all your videos and I feel close to Elvis through yourself. Many thanks. Pat (UK)
Thank you, Billy & Jo for sharing your memories with Elvis! I feel sorry for you both when Elviis died, can’t imagine your life without Elvis. Elvis seems a very loving person. The best thing I love with Elvis was his love to his Mama. I love listening to your sweet memories with Elvis. 💕
I am so thankful that you & Jo go out of your way to defend your cousin and his family. Says a lot about who really cares and what others motives are ($). Elvis Truly lives on this Channel..thank you
Your love for Elvis is so evident. I have such compassion for you guys and how hard this has all been for you. I do wish that you all had been consulted. I am sad that perhaps Elvis‘s parents were not portrayed in a better light. I am sure you recall those later years better than Priscilla and Lisa Marie. Priscilla was absent and Lisa Marie was very young. Like most Elvis fans, I appreciate you all setting the record straight. Of course the movie did not affect me or many Elvis fans like it affects you. I am saddened that Priscilla, Lisa Marie, and Jerry Schilling did not have some of the same concerns as you guys. I am sure in Elvis‘s life he dealt with the politics of media, celebrities, and the news. Nothing ever seems to be portrayed as it really is. Most Elvis fans will not let this affect how we see Elvis. He was a gem of a guy! I’m sure you feel blessed to have known him like you did.
The ending must be especially hard for you. You were basically the last ones to see Elvis alive. Like you were just playing racquetball and having fun with him, then next thing you know, he's dead. I can't even imagine how shocking it was and I'm sorry that you had to experience that.
Thank you so Much Billy and Jo. We truly appreciate your authenticity! Thank you for coming forward with your honesty and your love of Your family. I was 2 years old and Elvis aloha from Hawaii special was in our large box tv and it was one of my earliest memories in life. He caught my eye and captivated my heart with his charisma and charm. Thank you, thank you. I have not seen the movie and may not. I enjoy your videos very much . Thanks for giving us your intimate insight.
The movie is art, like a statue of Elvis to look at and admire the work put into it, but it's not a genuine representation of Elvis. Billy and Jo, the content of this video is why I'll always be part of your community. Thank you for giving us this valuable, detailed guidance to help us understand Elvis and who he really was. We want you, we need you, we love you. EFM
Just a wonderful bunch of real information/emotion, heartfelt, it just lets us know you are all so honest, and I'm sure Elvis is so thankful... I'm glad you mentioned Prisilla consulting for the movie, and how could she give it rave reviews if it is a bad/wrong reflection of Elvis's Moma and Daddy... and did she in fact, give wrong information to the writers?.. I am so thankful for this/these movie review videos. I trust yours and Danny/Theresa's videos to hear the truth about the Elvis I love... God Bless You all, the entire Smith family!
Priscilla should not have been consulted, she doesn’t give the correct information, it was her opinion like it was fact -wrong - plus she got paid of course. I would believe Billy and Jo before Priscilla.
Its so great you two are speaking out about this movie ,i reluctantly seen it and right away noticed how screwed up the time lines are on events that happened and in some cases were completely false,it was a all right fictional movie ,but it just doesnt do Elvis justice with all of the history ive researched on the King,i just wanted to say Billy and Joe thankyou immensely for clearing the air on this ,and keep up the good fight, you are and do have people listening and respecting you as myself ,i love the factuality you give this topic and who better than you two and including Linda Thompson to be the last survivors to actually spend time with Elvis right to the day he passed away, please keep up the good work and keep up the factuality, its a great breath of fresh air and better to me than a fictional movie and iam watching you two for free how good of deal is that !!!!!!! with love and respect Ron Daley
Just wanted to say I so enjoy your channel. Your love for your cousin is shown through your honesty and devotion of his memory. I am positive that Elvis knew then and now who truly had is back and loved him unconditionally. Thank you for sharing your love for him with all of us.
Thank you for the insight. It was very, very wrong to portray Gladys like that. You knew how she was and they didn’t. That’s just really evil of them because millions of people are going to see the movie and get a totally wrong picture of her. That tarnished her reputation. I’m mad and it’s not even my family. I could just imagine how you feel.
Thank you for your movie review. I think it is important to all the fans (old and new) to know the truth behind the inaccuracies of the movie. If no one speaks up then everything in the movie will become the story of Elvis. There are not many people left in the Elvis world who knew Gladys. I think she has been portrayed badly in every Elvis movie I have seen. It has happened so much that people now believe Gladys was always sad and worrying about Elvis. It is important to have the record set straight.
I feel like I really know Elvis though The spy guy The globe trotter. But ex specially though We always love Elvis videos like yours and your family. Though girls that Elvis dated. And the story’s that the Memphis mafia story that Mr Reds, Billy’s and told by them. Y’all through your story’s give testimony to Elvis life more than any movie can ever do. Thank all of y’all for telling us the factual life of the Man the world new as Elvis Presley that Hollywood could ever do. We love you all for taking the time out of y’all life to share his true life story. I’m 67 now and if the new fans of Elvis want to know Elvis it’s not Hollywood that they should be looking to. It’s you guys. I leave you with love .
Suzanne is my daughter - this is Jennie Carpenter. Billy and Jo, BLESS YOU BOTH and thank you for sharing the 'truths' about Elvis and his Family. I appreciate YOU BOTH more than you possibly know and cherish my friendship with y'all! I LOVE Y'ALL ALWAYS!
When a movie is made about someone as famous as Elvis was and still is, there is no need to make up or change facts. There is too much information available and no need to distort and lie about the life of Elvis. As Jo said, "If you don't know, just say you don't know" or even better, don't say anything. Sadly, that's the way it is in movies. As Mark Twain once wrote, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story". I commented in the part one video and it bears repeating. The real true Elvis fans who followed the career of Elvis know what we know and what we don't know, to me, just doesn't matter. What does matter is there will never be another Elvis Presley. Thanks Billy and Jo for another great video.
Thank you as always for sharing, Billy and Jo. And especially the memories that are so personal and precious to you. I could see how seeing the "Unchained Melody" clip in the movie would trigger that bittersweet memory. I can only imagine how absolutely beautiful it was to hear Elvis sing by the piano (or solo) while you were in the same room as him. So many things in life are bittersweet - I know this all too well, too. Hugs xoxo
You both loyal for sure and that’s why Elvis loved 🥰 you and trusted you and even now you still got to protect him cus poeple not did there homework thank god for you both 🥰love Lorraine 🇬🇧🥰🥰🥰🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧xxxxxxxx
The best part of the movie was the part where the actor playing Elvis conducted the musicians when and how to come in at the International rehearsal. That was powerful.
It is so refreshing to hear the truth from the ones that were there. Thank you for setting the record straight. I am surprised of what I have heard about Jerry Shilling's input in the movie. That is if what I have read and heard is true. I know he was around Elvis for a long time I would think he would want the truth told. Thank you all for letting Elvis fans be a part of the real journey of Elvis's life.
Billy I feel your heart and I too wanted the film to show the generosity and the big hearted man that made us love Elvis so much. Perhaps a scene of him giving the black cleaning lady that new car, the gospel sing alongs in his suite after his Vegas shows, instead of the 4 times of him losing his cool on Jerry, his Mama, Colonel and You! I agree with you that someone simply wrote a movie about Elvis but there was so much more to him. I still loved the movie knowing all the sequences were not accurate and a lot of creative licenses were taken to dramatize the story and condense it all to two hours but it did show the power of Elvis in a well done innovative way and maybe now a new generation will search out the real Elvis now as i have all my life. Priscilla let Baz stay in an office behind Graceland to do his research and Jerry was definitely a consultant, so there was some favoritism obviously on display. Austin did his homework as an actor to portray Elvis as good as it will probably ever be done but NO ONE is ELVIS or will ever be and that is why he is Elvis. I think their hearts were in the right place to make an Elvis story but left out so much that you and i know should have been in there. Elvis was larger than life so this movie tried to be also and i think that's why it came up short...it can't live up to how great Elvis was. Love ya Billy.
I agree, I wish someone could do a mini series about Elvis, the human being. I want the younger generation to also know how kind Elvis was, how generous, the humanitarian he was, how funny he was, how he loved to laugh and play pranks. All the human stuff. In this movie they saw the entertainer, oh how I wish these younger generations could get to know Elvis, the man. Not to say anything against Austin Butler, he did a great job with what he was given. But again, I don't think anyone could portray on screen the charm and charisma Elvis had.
Sadly I think most "new" fans will take this movie as the gospel truth and this is how Elvis and his family will be remembered. I saw a number of posts comparing the Elvis movie to Bohemian Rhapsody and how Bohemian Rhapsody was a great portrayal of Freddie Mercury and Queen!! If you grew up in the 70's you'd know it was a terrible movie with little facts. 😥
Thank you both for being so graceful and sharing your memories and opinions. I have always been an Elvis fan, don't know why I adore him, I just do since I was little here in Australia. I am just 1year younger than Lisa Marie. But I always remember loving his music and I read alot about him. I was excited that a new movie was being made, however I am hesitant about seeing it because what I know about Elvis' life, alot of key people weren't even portrayed in the movie. I will see the movie eventually. Billy, I really could listen to your memories all day, it is fascinating to hear about your life. I am so sorry that you and other family and friends have the frustration of no-one getting it right about Elvis' life and profiting from it. You and the people who were there really should make a documentary with real footage. I know you mentioned that the 'estate' might try to stop it. But the beauty of social media and RUclips you can release it yourself. Thank you again for your opinions and love that you both showed to Elvis' memory. He will always be the King.
Again thank you so much for your honesty. Its nice to know who Gladys and Vernon really were, and of course Elvis. And I hear you, I never really loved the summer, and now being an Elvis fan it hits me harder. Gonna watch the next part.
Tell it like it is Billy and Jo, I think Elvis would want the truth to told by the two people he was closest too. Elvis would be proud of what you,Jo, and Danny are doing.
loving your videos! and seeing you guys holding hands and things melts my heart! you guys are now the closest we have to Elvis so your words mean so much..thank you for being real! i feel that the movie director must have read a lot that was written about Elvis ...that must be where he got a lot of the stuff he put in the movie..i feel he should have talked to Elvis' family and friends like you all.....did you all know the Elvis fanclub president kay wheeler? she visited gladys and took some pics..she said that she seemed sad and concerned about Elvis and all this new fame....this makes me feel that she was there in a moment when Elvis' mom was just missing her son and having normal thoughts ,,just like a mom does...so maybe the director got this stuff from books and interviews ...i liked one thing kay said about Elvis that the teens called him the memphis flash! and that he was wild and free till colonel tamed him down for the "squares"...anyway i trust you all since you were there and we all live Elvis!!! thank you all for giving us the real Elvis and anything you can remember we will watch with joy!
Mr Smith, when I see documentaries on Elvis and they show the clip of you saying about Dr. Nick coming out of the emergency room saying “Elvis has left us” and then they ask if you wanna see him and you break and say “I dont think so”. Everytime I see rhat clip I want to reach through the screen, hug you and grieve with you because it’s that moment for me when I’m reminded that he’s no longer with us. Keep doing what you’re doing Sir! Love from the UK!
If one wants to make a totally fictional movie, go for it. Make up anything you want. However, Elvis was a real man with a real family, an amazing career, unequaled talent, a real life and a real death. One ought to have respect for Elvis, his family and those who actually knew and loved him to get the facts straight. There certainly are enough credible sources and people who knew him to put together an accurate picture.
I agree. His parents and these guys seem like very upstanding people. I learned quite a bit more. I'm like how did you guys have fun back then lol! (Also we did not know alot of details until my last grandparent passed-miss them!). Elvis seemed like a nice man.
Great video Billy & Jo , the reason I watch your video's is because you tell it as it was " The Truth " . Thank you for bringing me into your world that you shared with Elvis !
Thank you so much for shedding light on the lack of facts in the movie. I've been an Elvis fan my whole life. I was born in 1955, so how could I not be? The producers and director had an agenda to push, which was more important to them than the real story. I did like the style of the movie, but it was unnecessary to disregard the truth. Thanks again for all you do. It helps keep Elvis's memory going strong.
Billy and Jo,,Thank you for Clearing the Air of the Hollywood Fools. Both of you basically with EP from the start to the end of his career. And I would Love to see Billy do a movie about Elvis with the Truth.Thank you and God Bless⚡️TCB
Hello to all the Smith family, Thank you Mr. Billy for speaking up for your family, I believe you. Mrs. Jo you look beautiful, you are a lovely couple. Grace from Canada ❤ xxx
I did not like the movie, Elvis, I bought it because of all the raving about it. I think it was told from Priscilla's point of view. You would think Elvis never had any other girl friends."Elvis" his life in that movie was like a flash light from a camera, it was so fast and left out so much. Anyone would think Elvis never had a good time or laughter. Glad you and Jo are clearing things up. Thank you both.
I appreciate and value your thoughts and perspective so very much. This movie must have been made more for entertainment purposes than actual/factual purposes. It was not a actual biopic of the life of Elvis and believe his real fans realize that. I wish they had made it more factual and realistic like whomever made I walk the line for Johnny Cash and I saw the light for Hank Williams. I believe this movie was made to appeal to this generation to make box office sales high… it wasn’t a true biopic of who Elvis Truly was/is. My entire family went to see it and I was born the year Elvis died, my kids are all in their 20’s and my 25 yr old son walked out of the movie in the first 25 minutes because he said this was just hog wash…. It was disappointing to say the least… thank you for carrying on his life and legacy from someone who loved him and was family❤️ Elvis was a gift from Heaven. That smile… that voice… he will not be forgotten
Supposedly Baz did his research for 3 years for the movie. It's sad that people will believe all the wrong info in the movie. In the movie Baz made it look like Elvis had a choice regarding Elvis going into the military. There was no choice, Elvis was drafted. I walked out of the theater after seeing the movie really confused. Thank you Billy & Jo for setting the record straight. 🌹
I saw the video where he spoke to Elvis childhood friend but the big question why didn’t baz interview the smith family, the family that knew him the longest? Sad
Thanks for this touching video about Elvis and his mother and father.Im glad you told how Gladys really was.How could these people make a movie with so much untruths in it?I'm sorry but I think Priscilla and Jerry Schilling got a nice chunk of change for their stories, and that's what it was stories, not the actual truth. I am not planning on seeing this movie ,I saw the coming attractions and it didn't make me want to see it.Maybe because I'm older and grew up when Elvis was here, and I will never forget August 16th.I had gotten to see Elvis at the Chicago Stadium for my 18th birthday and was so excited waiting for him to come back .When I turned on the TV and channel after channel said the same thing, Elvis Presley 1935-1977,It was as if time froze,I felt like I couldn't move and my mind did not want to believe what I kept seeing. I'm tearing up right now just remembering. I will watch Elvis's movies, concerts and watch your videos to get to know the true story of Elvis,Gladys ,and Vernon.God Bless you Billy and Jo and your family. 💖
The sad thing Billy is that you know the truths and how things really happened and that must be very frustrating for you. The trouble with the modern day is everything that went before gets twisted . When I see pictures of Glady's her eyes always had black rings round them. God bless them all . I watched a video this morning of Elvis's grand dad singing. God bless you both. Love Michelle , Scotland xx
I love listening to both of you, all the love and cherished memories you have with Elvis. I know if I want to know the real Elvis I just need to watch your videos. I know he is looking down at you and smiling because you tell the truth. God bless you both!
Love y’all’s videos I have to agree on y’all’s point of view on the new Elvis movie I was not happy with how they persuaded Elvis. Thank y’all for your videos and always living Elvis
Love y’all’s videos. Thanks so much for telling us your stories and we can really tell how much you loved and still love Elvis! I’m also agreeing with your take on this latest movie. I didn’t like it and agree that so much was wrong. Anybody who is really serious about doing an Elvis movie really needs to be careful where they get their info. SOME PEOPLE Are definitely not telling it right! Again, thank you both!❤
From everything I've seen and read Pricilla was not a consultant and she even said she was very worried about the direction the movie was gonna go because she didn't hear from Baz the director for over 2 years after he originally had asked her to be involved in the movie. But I did see a recent interview with Baz where he said Jerry Schilling was a consultant. Also Baz spent and entire day or 2 with Elvis' childhood friend from Tupelo named Sam Bell so possibly that's where alot of the stuff in the movie came from. You can watch the video that shows part of the interview did Baz did with Sam Bell here on RUclips on a channel named Kyle Slingo. I'd really like to know what and who all were used for the research they gathered for the movie, because I still will never understand how they wouldn't contact you Billy being the closest living member of Elvis' family. Dont feel bad about getting emotional either Billy, it just shows how much you cared for Elvis and still do. As always thanks for sharing your memories with us and cant wait for the next video.
@@Elizabeth-dw6lc Yeah but if she's being truthful she only met with Baz one time before Covid and at that time the plan was for her to be involved but she said once Covid happened she didn't see or hear anything from Baz about the movie until it was finished and he called her to set up a private screening. That's why she came out in an interview shortly before she had saw the movie and said that she was very nervous and worried about the movie and that's when she went into explaining what I just put above. Again who knows if she's being truthful or not. And ofcourse if Jerry was more involved then you know he's basically gonna tell Baz and them exactly how Priscilla would want them to portray things. I've always felt like Jerry had a thing for Priscilla and would do anything she told him to. But that's just my opinion.
I watched the interview of the childhood friend. I love that the movie implemented the fact Elvis grew up next to black community, I always was curious how he came to move and sing like that. It’s naturally something you’re exposed to. I’m glad we got a sneak peak of his childhood.
You tellem Billy. It's still foremost in everyone's heart's and minds how Elvis left us 💔 at such a time as he did It's just mind blowing. But I know he's in heaven with his folks and they are having a wonderful time walkin and talkin and singin with the lord. Unhindered by this world and its strife. We love you all very much.
I appreciated your comments Billy . I did not know of Elvis .However, I just loved that his humanity shown through. What a price he paid for his art. I loved the ending true when he said to Priscilla "I will always love you. " Julia Richards
I love how lovingly you both speak of him and his memory. He is still love and cherished by his family, friends and fans old and new. It's quite beautiful. As for Priscilla... I don't believe Priscilla or Jerry were consultants on the film. The screenplay was written with the hope that Elvis Presley Enterprises, Priscilla, Lisa and I assume Jerry (in whatever capacity), would enjoy the film enough to champion it through a press tour and award season. I think Baz understood that the family's support of the film would help them receive significantly more press coverage and reach to help drive ticket sales. Elvis Presley Enterprises benefits from the relationship because it boosts interest in Elvis and therefore Graceland tour sales. Win-win for both parties. That is most likely why it was written with inflated roles around Priscilla and Jerry (playing into their ego) to encourage their support and to publicly co-sign the film. From Baz's perspective, they are ancillary characters and therefore inflating the roles or fudging the timelines is a small sacrifice to make to get the film across the finish line. Production had a team of researchers, along with Baz himself (who wrote the screenplay). They dug through the myriad of books written by Memphis mafia members, friends, girlfriends, family, interviews, articles, first hand accounts, neighbourhood friends etc and pretty much lifted the stories verbatim from there. Many of which are conflicting (right down to the value of the cheque that had Vernon carted off to prison. Different family members say different things lol :). But that is part of the Presley lure, people only remember things from their own perspectives and memories. The film being told through the perspective of the Colonel is interesting because the Colonel is not a reliable narrator. That is made clear from the start. So I don't think it's ever meant to be assumed by the audience that everything in the film is fact. It's fact as remembered and told by the Colonel, laying in his death bed and reconciling the choices and influence he had over a young man's tragic life. At least that's how I interpreted the film when I watched it.
You are 100% right about that so-called Elvis movie. I had to cut it off about 10 minutes in. God Awful. I can't help but think that Elvis would have shot the hell out of it.
Thank you Jo and Billy. The movie ending was very emotional for me as well, but I’m not close family as you are. It’s sad that country people are portrayed as country bumpkins. It happens in Australia as well. With Elvis going into the army and then to Germany, was there talk about the Hungary / Russia troubles also the iron curtain getting into full swing? I can only imagine the anguish Gladys (and Vernon) had over their child. I’m not a mum but I remember how my parents were when my eldest brother was drafted and then did a tour of Vietnam (thank goodness he was wounded twice but came home).
As is said, " One side of the story is good until the other side is told. Thanks for telling the other side- the real side of Elvis's story. Thanks for tipping the scale towards the correct balance!! You're faithful in yourlo e for Elis Presley in defending sing him without looking forward to anti d of rewards.
Morning from uk 🇬🇧 hi billy and jo just watched your video I can feel your pain for sure just dam heartbreaking 💔 why all the lies to make a movie like I’ve said before while u all still alive no one can bullshit about Elvis life cus u all know truth and us Elvis fans not seen movie yet waiting on it to come out on telly or dvd 😁Just don’t understand the Presley family saying they got it right 😳this time don’t sound like they have 😘anyway thank you billy and jo for your honesty we love u guys for truth for sure x Elvis would not be happy cursing his mother like that just disgusting if u ask me anyway looking forward to part 3 😘love Lorraine uk 🇬🇧 xxxx
I always thought that Jerry Schilling liked Elvis. Guess i was wrong! Billy you and Joe are the only 2 that can really set things straight. (And maybe a few others) If they put Gladys and Vernon in a bad light, they were betraying Elvis, period. Great video!
I'm currently reading Jerry's book, its pretty apparent to me that he was in love with Priscilla before her and Elvis ever married. He has been in their life and in my opinion was reporting back to Priscilla about Elvis. Jerry was Lisa Marie's 1st manager, he also recently participated in Navarone's wedding virtually. Jerry claims to have liked the Colonel and thought he did great things for Elvis. There is a RUclips video with Jerry, Joe Esposito, the Colonel's wife and a few others where they're singing the Colonel's praises. Now they want to trash him when most of the people are gone?? If Priscilla ever stops short all you'll see is Jerry's toes!! Again just my opinion.
@@brigidpriebe6340 You're spot on! It's Not an opinion it's called intuition don't ignore it because it's leading you to facts. That party for Colonel's wife had the people who obviously didn't care about Elvis' long term happiness by being double agents for The Colonel especially Joe. Plus keep in mind" they all got paid for being there. I was so disgusted by it. Brigid you're the only one I've seen other than myself to catch what's really happening between the lines. Thank you for sharing.
Just wanted you both to know that I enjoy your videos and hope y’all are doing well. I understand your criticism of the movie. I appreciate you for setting the record straight. Like yourself, I don’t appreciate these so called expert historians on Elvis telling everyone that they know more about Elvis than people who were there. Please keep posting your videos!! May God Bless your family.
Thank you guys for this, it is beautiful to hear the story’s about Elvis who are true. And you were right about Priscilla and getting money for “advising”. I gess the true fans know what is the truth. Elvis was and still is the greatest, I never met him but listening to your story’s about him and his family shows that he had a realy good up bringing, he had good manors, had his mistakes but who’s perfect? Bad temper? Oké I also have sometimes a bad temper and try to kick something or hit something. But I never hurt people no animals and Elvis didn’t also. Thanks again for your lovely story’s and keep them telling. Love to hear it! Take care no lovely greetings from a big fan in the Netherlands.
Billy you should write a book of Elvis truths! By people who were there!!
I would love to read a book Billy and Jo would write. You would know they were telling the truth.
And read the audio versions ... Could listen to Billy and Jo for hours ...
Billy partook in Elvis and the Memphis Mafia (or Revelations of the Memphis Mafia). So, he did author a book.
@@justmytwobits I know about that book but a solo Billy book would be good .. especially on the tupelo days
@@SarseeDGLover honestly, his voice was the strongest in that book. Lamar and Marty just make me skeptical. Billy doesn't.
It’s so refreshing to see someone stand up for their blood kin… great job 👏
Wow what an amazing video. I was crying at the end because you can still feel the pain and sadness and emotion they have from these memories. Yet they are strong enough and brave enough to sit and tell their stories still. No body can imagine what they go through or have went through. Thank you guys for this video and I look forward to the next one!
You can just see and hear the pain and grief in their voice when talking about these memories :(,
You two look beautiful. Love Jos hair. Y’all are such a handsome couple. Y’all look wonderful. So glad to see you both. Jo looks so pretty in pink.
I agree. It’s very heartfelt. I’m still shocked after this weekend. His mom and dad were very upstanding folks! Billy will give you alot of funny farm stories. You guys as fans, i think will really enjoy it more.
You are spot on!
You can tell they lost a dear member of their family and this you can tell they still hurt over the loss of Elvis
This was better than seeing the movie. Thank you for sharing your true memories. Priceless
That’s right ! I don’t need to see the movie - I come here and get more true stories directly from the source without the shovel !
Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith, MMK, it's definitely time for a book. YOUR book. I can't thank you all enough for these precious moments. Watching you is a Good Thing for us all to enjoy.
Now that's a good idea

Thank you for another excellent video Billy and Jo. Thank you for speaking out and setting the record straight. I and so many other Elvis fans support you and appreciate you standing up for the legacy of Elvis.
Priscilla I'm sure told her version so here we are
You t
wo are so blessed to have known Elvis in your telling
Shows how much you love him .E was Blessed Thank You
Thank you guys, another truly special video. I completely agree with your thoughts on how Vernon and Gladys are portrayed in the movie. I am trying to look at the bigger picture and how many new fans are joining our Elvis family. It is our duty as Elvis fans to make them aware of the truth…when they learn that they will love him even more ❤
Billy you are the one living person who knew Elvis the longest and the BEST! Appreciate you and JO .
Thank you.

Thank You for setting the record straight about Veron and Gladys! Elvis would have raised H*LL if he was still with us. God Bless you guys!❤❤
From the books I read about Gladys and Vernon they got them totally wrong in the movie. Thanks for the video and thanks for sharing your experiences with Elvis.
I agree. They were really upstanding and good christian people. I agree!
God Bless

LOVE You Billy and Jo, you guys are the ones who really know the TRUTH and TELL THE TRUTH ❤
@@pauline9580 That's another thing that boggles my mind. Why was his autopsy sealed? What are they trying to hide?
I am so thankful for your amazing memories Billy and Jo. Your memories are a true blessing to me. Thank you so much for telling us the real story. God bless you both! Jeff Carlson
I agree totally with you❤
Thank you two for giving the Elvis fans a first hand account of what actually happened! God Bless & please keep the videos coming!😇🥰
I agree. No negative comments need to be made about these guys.
Gladys and Vernon were two really upstanding people! They treated my very professionally at a time when many folks did not.
Elvis Truly lives on this Channel..thank you
Thank you for your stories. May God bless y'all & keep you in his good graces!
EFM
That was well said!!
@@sandybarr684 Thanks! It came from the heart. 😊
I just laughed at her part where she said who had the colonials notes to know what really happened. I can believe that now.

Elvis didn’t like to be called “the King” he would say “there’s only one “King”!
Thank you, Billy and JO! Great video. Great inside information👍
I feel like I really know Elvis though The spy guy The globe trotter. But ex specially though We always love Elvis videos like yours and your family. Though girls that Elvis dated. We love you all for taking the time out of y’all life to share his true life story. I’m 67 now and if the new fans of Elvis want to know Elvis it’s not Hollywood that they should be looking to.
Hugs xoxo

The best part of the movie was the part where the actor playing Elvis conducted the musicians when and how to come in at the International rehearsal.
That was powerful.
Agree best part of the movie.
And that is true.
It is always best to hear about Elvis' life from people who knew and loved him the most..his family! God bless you both!

Thank you Billy for telling your stories so heartfelt and with true care.
I try not leave any negative comments but they want folks to know that he was real and not something made up lol.

Mr Billy Smith and family..Thank you Kindly for sharing...
Thank you again

Supposedly Baz did his research for 3 years for the movie. It's sad that people will believe all the wrong info in the movie. In the movie Baz made it look like Elvis had a choice regarding Elvis going into the military. There was no choice, Elvis was drafted. I walked out of the theater after seeing the movie really confused.

I'm sure she consulted for her part. I do know Baz met with Priscilla and Jerry at the same time. Tom Hanks met with Pricilla too.
Julia Richards
I think you guys are great !!!!
Thank you so much and yes
Elvis Fans Matter!!!!!!

I always thought that Jerry Schilling liked Elvis. Guess i was wrong! Billy you and Joe are the only 2 that can really set things straight. (And maybe a few others) If they put Gladys and Vernon in a bad light, they were betraying Elvis, period. Great video!
Jerry Schilling just wants to continue to get a slice of the Presley pie. Just like his ex wife.
Does Jerry Schilling not have a wife!?
@@vickiecraig9578 Jerry was married to Myrna Smith of the Sweet Inspirations. She has passed away.
