For some reason I've noticed a lot of people don't mind just using a virtually typing keyboard over the midi controller at this point. They are nice, but so is the added convenience of just needing your laptop only
As a producer, would you recommend obtaining a domain and making a website ASAP, or waiting until you have enough recognition or income to actually sustain it?
I am investing in the recording stage right now with a microphone and an audio interface. Would a Rhode NT1-A with a Focusrite 2i4 for audio interface work well? Or do i keep saving up.
+Dakota J. That's a better mic than what I started with. and focusrite is a solid brand. There IS a difference in the interfaces like Focusrite 2i2 --> Focusrite 18i20, but don't worry about that right now, just get the core tools. you can upgrade later.

are there differences in pc's? for example is a good sound card important or the driver like asio. or can I also use a not that good Computer if my DAW is running
I've been using a basic computer to produce that has 4gb of ram while my computer is being repaired. I installed my daw on a external hd so it runs amazing

They're all pretty much the same. Just make sure it has a mod wheel and weighted keys.

Don't you need an audio interface to be able to use your monitors though? You'd need both at once for it to actually work.
