Publishing is the 'KEY' to succeed as a Music Producer just as 'Busy Works Beats' mentions. Published songs that are licensed out can give a Music Producer a consistent residual ($5000 - $500k/annually). However, this is also a niche market controlled by those who have been established and know one another... It comes down to who knows who!
