I was with Beatrice in Langata. I also gave birth to my baby girl in prison. Listening to her brings back very strong sad painful memories, it's a total different world in prison. The stigma out here is so real. I have learnt never to be judgemental and I forgive and let go very fast. This are virtues that are instilled very deep in ones personality ones you get out. You go to prison and come out a very different version of who you once was. It's true that you learn to appreciate very minute details of life even things like a hot cup of tea or a warm sweater.

Thanks Beatrice for coming out and speak on behalf of many like me and many more who have gone through the same. Please the society should stop judging us wrongly. Not everyone who goes to prison is guilty, as Beatrice has said "Prison or cell is like a hospital anyone can find themselves there."
I have listened to your story & watched your body language & am touched to the core. U speak from your heart. May tje Almighty find favor in u & clean your heart white from all the dark memories which might might still be lurking in that dark recess of your mind. Who are we to judge. Some may call it murder others self defence. I have one advice don't let it pull you behind. You have a life to live..its a gift and it's sacred.
I found myself shading tears listening to this story. May God continue giving you strength and peace of mind. You are an inspiration to many. I have learnt allot through this video, the need to be strong under all circumstances, the importance of of being welcoming, hospitable and supportive to vulnerable people in society, the need to start afresh when things fall apart, and finally as a man, the need to be kind to women. God make me a humble person to vulnerable women
What a testimony. Having worked in prison I wish people would stop judging. I have always treated inmates as human beings first, I treat them as my patient and provide the healthcare they need in the most humane way I can. Young lady you are destined for greatness and I hope one day you become a motivational speaker to kids in schools and also about domestic violence. God bless you and your family for their love and support.
Beatrice is a good example of predestination. God had chosen u for greatness and ur bad decisions and the 4 years journey is prison was just a path way God had to use to teach u his life lessons. U where born greatness my sister. Hats off to Jehovah
I was imprisoned too in a foreign country (Thailand) for 1 yr 2 months. Most people back here in Kenya usually asks me.... How is prison life? Is the set up the same as Kenyan prisons??? And I usually don't have a good answer since I've never been in Kenyan Prison. But after this testimony... I would say nothing's really different... Am still trying to fit it and it's been 3 months since I was released and came back home. May God bless and guide all ex convicts to fit in the society once more.
beautiful, the description of her experience was eloquent and at times left me at times in tears , it's true she should not let her past mistakes remain a burden, her experience and what she has learnt from it is a valuable resource which many can tap into it and we should let her share it as much she can, God bless you Beatrice, keep on plugging on and thank you
Thank you for sharing your story Beatrice. You made bad decisions but your mistakes do not define who you are as a child of God. This is a testament that the justice system needs to be reviewed. Detention for 3yrs is too long. It's also a wake up call that teenagers need more of a listening ear than anything else. Even 30min with one's teenage child/ward is enough. God is truly the Defender of the weak. I've learnt a lot. Thank you for sharing.
When she said I lived that day. I cried a bit, I know that feeling, it really hit me, there is so much freedom in that, at that moment. Even my problems, I make sure I live in that particular moment. It hurts but it’s real. God knows, continue with your prayers mama, I pray you continue to prosper! All is behind now!

You have really made me laugh 😂 about how “Guka said… “ to your son. Your story is really inspiring. So great to hear of a family that has been supportive. You have also educated us on how we can support those still in prison. And the idea of a halfway house. Very brave of you to share your story.
I've learnt from your expérience. I'll never take my freedom for granted. You have a good heart Lady. Thank you for sharing. May God continue guiding you.
Kenya should use Beatrice as a chance for motivational speaking.....she's going to save alot of lives from petty mistakes especially teenagers........I believe she can create a lot of difference in people's lives
Her case is a classic case of self defense! What type of police do they have in Kenya? A pregnant girl with defensive wounds from a knife to be locked up and charged with murder? That's ridiculous! It was self defense!!
Beatrice, am very happy to see you rebuilding your life again. All glory to God for granting you another chance. I saw your first interview video in prison few years ago and you were very young then but brave to speak out. May God fill your life and your son life with glory🙏🙏🙏.
Oh my.. this is a real beautiful story and encouraging to anyone who has lost faith in life.. hugs to your son.. that part of “a man has to do this and that”.. kudos to Guka. The whole story is really encouraging
all I can say Beatrice you went to the world university to graduate for the purpose that you will be doing you have so much work ahead of you all I can pray for is more grace you are blessed beyond measure.
Only God and the innocent man who lost his life know the true turn of events that fateful day. I do not condem her I commend her for rising above her trials. But I urge her to try and honour the memory of the man she killed. And seek forgiveness And she should stop highlighting ex-prisoner stigma and highlight accountability and forgiveness. Every best and I really hope and pray you are reformed person because this story does not convince me, you even failed to survive in school number 2
Pauline she did say she is regretting the turn of events because that was a man who took her in , the father of her son and the man she loved… so u wanted her to continue in an abusive school where other students were torturing every chance they got…please have a forgiving heart yourself for this young lady

Beatrice has a real big heart and unimaginable level of intelligence. May God gift you a bright future for the lost years.
Amen and you too
Beatrice, am very happy to see you rebuilding your life again. All glory to God for granting you another chance. I saw your first interview video in prison few years ago and you were very young then but brave to speak out. May God fill your life and your son life with glory🙏🙏🙏.
The power of a woman it's a case of resilience and a will to persevere and excel thanks for sharing good luck with your renaissance.
Beatrice is very eloquent.I like her mindset.Am glad to hear and see her out.May God prepare and continue moving with her.

This is a story and a half. A story and encouragement in one. WONDERFUL.
What a story from a beautiful, coherent and eloquent woman.
Indeed God is a God of a second chance.

all I can say Beatrice you went to the world university to graduate for the purpose that you will be doing you have so much work ahead of you all I can pray for is more grace you are blessed beyond measure.
She keeps saying ex convict, but the truth is she was detained for self defense until her trial. And 3 years is honestly just too long.
Only God and the innocent man who lost his life know the true turn of events that fateful day. I do not condem her I commend her for rising above her trials. But I urge her to try and honour the memory of the man she killed. And seek forgiveness
And she should stop highlighting ex-prisoner stigma and highlight accountability and forgiveness.
And not forgetting she was a child
Waaah ! I have cried and smiled. It's such an educative sad story with a happy ending. I like the way she is very calm. I wish I could be as composed as her. God bless her. She is strong
We all make mistakes in life n everyone deserve a second chance the damage is already done bt who am I to judge, may yu find grace n Gods favor whenever yu go,its a lesson learn,I thank God yu found peace n mercy yo share this,
I have a new awareness of & respect for the freedom I enjoy. Who would have thought that the freedom of choice to wash dishes (or not) can be taken away.

I loved this lady the moment I watched her earlier story in 2014. There was something I saw in her and I always wondered what ever happened to her case. Seeing her again on the screen in 2021 and hearing she's free and picking up, I felt relieved and happy. Amidst all, you're a blessing.
May God truly heal that heart of yours and also your family and the deceased family.
