How I did not notice that was Nona Gaye went way over my head😍🙌🏿💯
Oh, you picked a good one. “Shhh” is possibly my favorite Prince song that he would perform live in concert. He just always turned it up to 11 when he would add this song to the track list. The opening explosion of beats are so powerful and dramatic. This was 1994, so I believe this would’ve been Michael Bland on drums. Prince was so impressed with his skills when he first hired Bland for his band, The NPG.
By the way, Prince has always had himself a tight band. And I’m really pleased that you not only gave Prince his props, but you also took note of the incredible talent surrounding him on the other instruments, and vocals. Also, pleased to hear that you were inspired to take your song writing skills, even further, after delving deeper into his work and exploring his formidable, songwriting skills.
This performance right here… one of so many examples of why Prince/O(+> was the GOAT. 💜

The lady is Nona Gaye, Marvin Gayes daughter and this clip is from a mini movie called The Beautiful Experience which was shot at Paisley Park, it’s worth watching the full thing, such amazing tracks from that era 1993-1995 You will find the whole mini movie on RUclips called The Beautiful Experience. The NPG band were always amazing 💜

Awesome live performance, and this is like maybe his 4th best version of the song out there. His arrangement of the song improved even more over time. Keep hunting down live versions of this one - it's the gift that keeps on giving.

The beautiful young lady is PRINCE girlfriend of 3yrs Nona Gaye Marvin Gaye daughter. She also played Will Smith wife in the movie Muhammed Ali. Prince kept his women in rotatation however they were in serious relationship. Prince didn't keep a fiance that long. Oh and it's very well documented .
