    Honestly, the best thing truck camper manufacturers could do is to build campers designed for full-time living.
    Which means lithium batteries (4 minimum) that can be charged off of the truck's alternator.
    The maximum amount of solar panels they can fit on the roof.
    A high powered inverter/converter.
    Possibly eliminating the need for propane and/or maybe even making everything powered by 12 volt. (including the AC unit)
    A cassette or composting toilet.
    Cell/Internet/WI-fi equipment.
    A security/surveillance system to protect it all.
    And build their campers so they're watertight without the need for goop (yes... I called it goop) being applied once or twice a year along the exterior seams.
    With more and more people being forced to live out of their cars, vans, and RV's, a truck camper with all of these options would make for a great home alternative!
    Just a thought, NuCamp/Cirrus. Think about it. :)

    Most other manufacturers need to take cues from the aesthetics, the windows & the heating system offered by nuCamp. However, this one is still too heavy (especially for a shortbed), the exterior storage drs need to be lockable & there should be interior access to the inverter/batteries compartment for when the camper is on the truck. Thanks for the video.

    One of my favorite things about the Cirrus is the interior colors without the gawdy look of patterns and overhang above the windows. Very simple, sleek look. The down side, it seems, would be the lighting. Can they be dimmed for a warmer look?

    truck campers are the best for forest campgrounds. if anybody’s ever tried backing in a 20 foot trailer into a small campsite then you’ll understand. these campers you just back in and set it up. i’ve watched guys take an entire day to set up their 20-25 footers. waste of valuable vacation time if you ask me.

    I wish this had a cassette toilet and combination convection/ microwave, otherwise it is an awesome set up and lots of storage. You can roll up your clothes and tuck into the little side storage bins that run the length of the bed.👍

    • @fishernate
      @fishernate 4 года назад

      Yes! I don’t understand why black tanks are still a thing. If anyone can use a cassette toilet yet only a small portion of the population has access to a black tank dump, then a cassette toilet should be the rule not the exception. These manufacturers don’t understand how big of a market they’re cutting out. People who don’t like cassette toilet simply don’t like them but people who don’t like dump tanks literally cannot use them because they don’t have an option to.

    • @draykeblack
      @draykeblack 4 года назад +3

      @@fishernate I don't feel like that's fair. Anyone who parks in most semi-permanent campgrounds or K01 camps needs a "black tank" set up because why would you want to mess with dumping your toilet when you could just run a hose to the sewers? You basically pay the campgrounds for that feature so why should they have to be forced to do extra work and put up with an annoyance they're paying to avoid?
      I think its great when manufacturers offer both as an option so that you can pick the one that suits your use case best.

    • @fishernate

      petehenley01 yes I understand that a choice would be good. However since they don’t give a choice and only give one option it should be the option that every person can use not just half the people.

      @gadgetmanhookupify 2 года назад

      @@fishernate you can buy a portable camping toilet with the cassette, you know, most camping stores still sell them even some Walmarts. I bought one, over 35 years ago, cannot believe I still have it...lol. I myself would rather have the holding tanks, than fool with dumping poop splashing in a toilet.

    Nice camper. Deciding between this and Lance. A couple things I didn't like were the lack of leg and foot space under the table. That box takes up at least half the space under the table and allows (barely) only one person on each side. Especially if you are large, I'm 6'4". We sometimes take our grandchild and there would be no room for three of us to sit together, eat, play cards, etc. Poor design. Also, I would have designed the back handle to fold and lock toward the driver side away from the back door. In theory, some prankster could lock the handle and end up locking everyone inside the camper. I also agree with others that a cassette toilet would be nice.

    • @PrincessCraft

      Yes, the wifi has a shut-off switch. The 12volt electrical system also has a shut-off switch. If you don't want the 110volt power... unplug. The total height of the camper on the truck will depend on the height of the truck and how much it "squats" with the camper loaded. I estimate somewhere in the 13' range... but take that with a grain of salt as every setup can vary greatly from others.

    Why these companies never show the price of their products. It is beyond me. Stupid.

      We try to give a price average in the beginning, but because prices vary across the country, it’s tough to do. If you want to know exactly what they cost with certain options, just call us! At Princess Craft we will give you our selling price, no problem!

    Campers are way over priced. For the money this thing costs you can triple the size going to a trail behind. For the cost of the truck to carry this thing if not maybe less you’re into a larger class C, B or into a great condition used A. Bothe the trail behind or mobile are far more better appointed and roomier.
    you say you can’t get a trailer where you could get a truck and camper? Hogwash. For far less than the money of this thing you can beef up the suspension of a trailer which will also lower the overhead height of the overall vehicle and get it to the same places. A 16 foot trailer is more appointed than this and maybe lighter. There’s a reason you don’t see campers on more trucks. Ridiculously over priced. They use to be the poor mans RV and you’d move up to a trailer, then mobile. Today with the diesel class Cs you can still tow a boat that many of you are going to claim you can do with a truck and camper. Again $33,000 for this thing plus a minimum of $35,000 for the truck to carry it you can get into something much nicer and roomier.

      I agree! You can buy a nice used class C for the price of the camper alone. When you add in the price of a truck, you can buy a new class C. You will have a new motor and chassis plus a lot more room.

      I agree fully,just nice to have a truck when you need it at home,then turn it into a camper.
