- Loading, Refilling And Resetting Prices On My Vending Machine After Buying Products From Sam's: Profit Income In 2019. In this video I go buy more soda and snack products to refill my vending machines and then show how to change and reset product prices while resetting prices on my vending machine. I was finally able to refill my combo vending machine that was broken into at my apartment location since the security cameras are now up and running.
Everyday I'm hustling, Everyday I'm hustling lol love that song and it inspires me when I need it!
Me too bro! Always hustling up another come up! 👍🏼
I like how you thought us how to change the prices on the machine
No problem man. I'll definitely have more detailed price change and resetting videos uploaded soon. 👍🏼
I had a few machines based in our CBD where parking was a nightmare. The parking was horrible you either park & walk or street park to offload before the parking rangers come after you. At 1 site I had a cleaners closet that stored a few hundred cans as I quickly parked & offload a garbage bag of snacks to refill my machines. It was a nightmare site logistics wise but highly profitable as it was an IT centre with 24/7 ops with only a small team onsite but many visitors.
It's a pain when you can't find good parking I agree. Using a dolly really helps! 👍🏼
WOW!!! A dude who works out/stays in shape but sells junk food to the masses. No hate here. Keep hustling.
Lol
So my soda machine I bought didn’t turn out so well. Too much time and money to repair that I didn’t have, so I sold it. But I ain’t give up! Decided to apply for jobs and got hired at Starbucks(I’m 19). I plan on saving every dollar so that I can quit and get back to real business. Thanks for posting these vids Mike, youve helped me a lot bro!
Good plan to keep an active income job until your other income streams pick up. I know it's disappointing that your other machine didn't work out but way to stay positive and persistent to make things happen. 👍🏼
Me and BB laughed when you walked away from the sample at Sam's 😆
Lol yeah it wasn't what I thought it was. I thought it was a sandwich and it was more like a baklava pastry! 😂
just watch your video great stuff, haha sample part was funny, like watching videos like this
Lol thanks. 👍🏼
such an interesting video and filmed well ,thanks Mike ,slide good into the new year .
Danke Stefan. Haben sie auch ein Gut neu Jahr. 👍🏼
Another consideration when looking for ways to improve vending machine sales is to place them in areas
that make your products easily accessible to the people who need them. Schools, malls, airport lounges,
bus stations and subway platforms are high traffic areas that are prime locations for vending machines.
Definitely great advice!
Great video Big Dawg! Way to put it together and even explain a little on how you change your prices on the machine itself . Keep'em coming
Thanks man! I'll definitely keep them coming! 👍🏼
Man, I did this for 10 years in my younger days. I miss the money but definitely not the anxiety. I quit because I couldn't even go out of town on the weekends without fearing I might lose my account.
I never had that issue. It was a good builder business for me.
Amazing keep it up
Thanks man! 👍🏼
Epic video like always ! I always like to buy soda from vending machines I don’t like buying that much snacks, the closest thing I’ll buy is Rice Krispie from a machine
Sodas do always seem to sell better than snacks at any of my locations. 👍🏼
Very good video.
Thank you! 👍🏼
To answer a few people who have contacted me. Here in Australia I utilise a few suppliers including Supermarkets when they have huge sales on base drinks like Coke & a few others. Drink prices are machine sold for $2.50 AUD = $1.75 USD. We include a 10% GST tax of course. Often I see cubes of 30 cans in supermarkets on sale. Today a 24 can slab is $18.00 AUD or 30 can cube is $38.05 AUD. is also available at 1 of the major supermarket chains. Often I will to fill up machines with these bargains to save time & keep my machines serviced if I was in the area.
I have wholesalers as Coke will sell to traders directly but you need to factor storage, transport, time, availability & a few machines I refilled after dinner as it was dead quiet to get access to the buildings.
I use 2 trolleys (you call them carts) to service machines including a foldable one for tight spaces & a standard delivery size with stair climber wheels (3 wheels that ease down & up stairs). I now supply machines to investors but run a few as a business before I sell them or teach newbies too.
Cash counting is easy as we have $2, $1, 50c, 20c, 10c & 5c coins. I reuse the coins from cash box to replace change as I swap a note from my wallet to cover my actions. A few newer machines accept notes & I will consider EFTPOS or SMART Readers in future when I sell the new machines.
Awesome man thanks for sharing! Great hearing from vendors all over. 👍🏼
Mike making money everywhere. I see you making them money moves
Consistency is the only thing I can dedicate myself to that I know will yield results! 👍

So, if a machine is not working (something mechanically wrong with it) - are you able to fix it, or do you have to hire someone to do that? I would imagine these machines are constantly breaking down?
Sometimes the machines can pose some serious problems that may require a tech, but a lot of times if you open the machine and just check what happens as you test it you can identify the issue(s)! However I've never worked on the coffee machine before. What city and state are you located in?
I have never wanted to do something more in my life ... thank you sooo much for making your videos!!! I don't have any machines or any locations and very little capital
I don't know where you live but I live in Los Angeles and I always bought from Cash & Carry places when I was in the vending business. The selections at those places are as complete as it gets. Sam's and Costco's never have all the selections I need and it's not worth wasting time going to different places. Once you're familiar with a particular Cash & Carry place, you can even place an order ahead of arrival and it'll be ready when you get there. If you order enough volume, they will even deliver the goods to you without charge.
Great video bro!! I just found a location for my gumball machine recently. Aye bro RUclips doesn't tell you anything for the music that you use on your videos? Like copyright?? Keep up the good work bro, you inspire me
Thanks bro! And congrats on the location. 👍 Yes you will get a copyright claim if you use copywritten music so you have to be careful how you go about doing it.
you gotta look at your costs closer... those Kars sweet & salty nuts at the store was .40 cents each..not .20 cents like you said .. go back to 4:50 ..sign says .20 cents per oz. and those bags are 2 oz. ..so your cost is .40 cents per unit.. we sell those all day long for 1.25...and all chips should be $1.00...fresh pastry $1.50 you have to triple your money in this biz...
Ok thanks. Usually it shows the price per individual unit so I'll go back and take a look. I actually contemplated getting those, but didn't actually get them so maybe that's why I didn't put too much thought into it! Thanks again for the catch👍🏼
the kar salty and sweet nuts sign wasnt for it. if you actually read it, it said nilla wafers @4:52.
Damn if that guy did that while you were nearby you would have SNAPED him because your JACKED..
Lol👍🏼
Wow what a d.ridin comment
You can probably get a better deal on your products from a wholesaler.
I'm always looking for a better Network. You have any experience with any? 🤔
Where do you do all of your inventory shopping? Love the vids, Great inspiration
I usually go to Sam's club because I have a business account beer and I get perks back at the end of the year. Sometimes I go to Walmart last minute though. 👍🏼
I don’t know what area your in but you should try getting your machines in schools preferably colleges! The ones at my college are always sold out😁
Yeah that's a great idea. I've tried in a few schools but they already had vendors. I left my info in case anything ever changes though. Still lots of locations I'm working on adding to my route. 👍🏼

They must have a high commission.

Thanks will do! 👍🏼
Bro, if you sell those Takis for .50 cents, you are not making much off of them. 46 * $.50 = $23 you have to cover the cost of the product, so $23 - $11.28 = $11.72 now you have to cover the cost of restocking it so $11.72 - $11.28 = $.44... if you sold them for $.65 you would make $7.34 after restocking. Someone tell me if i'm bat shit crazy. Love the videos man hope you keep them coming!
Some products I sell a bit higher and others a bit lower. Sometimes it's better to sell a lot more at a little less than to sell less for a fee cents more. It's all a process of experimenting each location.
You definitely have to do this type of math to figure out your numbers though. 👍🏼
Is there a certain software you use to keep up with your inventory?
I actually have Notebooks were I keep up with everything and Excel is good on computer. Vendsoft is supposed to be a great tool as well for keeping track. 👍🏼
Do you need a vendors permet for gumball machines and such?
At the very least a city business tax certificate. And good to have insurance liability coverage as well! It would be a good idea to go down to your city's text office to find out all the regulations for your area. What city and state are you in?

How come in some vending machines, they stock the weird and exotic flavor versions of my favorite snacks, ones i will not buy because i don't like that version, but i would buy if it were the regular kind. You would think you would sell more of something if it has more universal appeal to everyone.
Can you do more videos like this

Yo dude. Love the channel. I just bought my first gumball machine. Where is the best place to buy the gumballs?
Thanks a lot man! I buy my large gumballs and Sam's and my small double bubbles at Walmart... But there are online sites you can order from in bulk and probably get better discounts.
The takis you should buy for 25 cents and sell for $1 not 50 cents. Your margins would be a lot better and you would make more money even if you sold 10% fewer.
Yeah I'm probably going to do like .75 with those Takis maybe
.85 but not a dollar at this point. Those seniors are frugal. Lol😂 if I price too high the product just sits. Have to be careful with snack machine inventory, it's not the same as the sodas.
Chrome Vending I agree. People think you can only make money on margin but you can do it by volume too. You should track inventory turns per product and then based on that consider increasing the prices incrementally. Decision Analysis type stuff. Also do you know if your purchases come from mostly cards or cash?? I’m an engineer so I always think about optimizing stuff 😂😂😂

You should turn down your music a little other then that good video
Yeah there was a section where my music was turned up a little louder than I wanted and I didn't realize until it was too late and the video was already exported. I usually try to keep the background music low enough for people to hear what I'm saying. I know it's aggravating when the music is so loud you can't hear what's going on. 👍🏼
Are you deaf?!?!?!
You talk funny but it's unique
If you know your eventually going to have to go back to sams to buy more stock why not over stock and not have to back so often
I try to avoid stale ratios so I don't want to overbuy.as I get more full line machines and locations I'll stock more and more. 👍🏼
Drinks have a wonderful shelf life but take up space. I try to have enough drinks on hand to do a quick restock if I am visiting the area.

$0.20 was the unit price. But I realized later that was actually the price for the Nabisco product below it LOL. I ended up deciding to not even get that product so maybe that's why I didn't emphasize too much attention on the individual pricing. Thanks for the heads up though a good catch. 👍🏼

Yeah! That's super stupid right! 🙈 The nerve of some people!
I used to work at a casino and one of the rules was that if you found any money you were supposed to turn it in. Well one security guard found two dollars that a patron had left and then went and used that money to buy a drink from a vending machine in the lobby. Cameras are everywhere there so they found out he took the money and then fired him on the spot. What's amazing is that in the casino they have an area where you can make yourself a drink for free and the employee's lounge had free drinks too but this moron threw away a pretty decent job with good benefits over $2.

Do you think I could get locations over the phone by calling businesses
Cold calling can definitely be an effect way to acquire locations and many vendors use it. However I wouldn't limit myself to only cold calling because going to the business in person and speaking directly with the business owner is a very effective strategy as well.
