AMAZING how "uninhabited" it all is. Going through small towns with not one soul to be seen. Just a few vehicles on the roads, most of the way. And crawling along at 50 kph all the way -- that's around 31 MPH. Much different from the coastal roads here on the west coast of the US......

まさに陸の孤島。旭川に行く途中に深川や砂川とかは通るけど、留萌はまず『留萌に行く』という用事がなければほぼ通らない。
街の存在を知らなければ、突然現れる街の風景にちょっと驚く。
マックスバリュとかケーズデンキとか普通にあるのよなｗ
自分が中学生まで住んでいたのが留萌市でしたので懐かしかったです 一昨年オロロンラインで羆事件で有名な三毛別まで行ってきました
