This was the best game I bought this year. Just so much fun and an extremely high value product with tons of scenarios at different player counts that are standalone, in addition to the epic 6 player campaign game. You can basically play this with anyone.
Thanks for the review guys! Wish I’d been able to make WBC this year to play it with you all. Next year:). Oh, and I will be starting work on the expansion in the fall. -Chris
Enjoyed this game, and of course your review. I see it bringing my tabletop/fantasy players who are reticent to play hex and counter war games. Cheers!
Had the privilege to play this game with the designer at Gen Con, it was awesome, art is beautiful and the game is snappy and quick to play, my non wargamer friend also enjoyed it.
@@somerandomperson8282 The ACTUAL rules, really aren't as complex as the size of the rulebook might lead you to believe. It's a gateway *wargame*, for sure.
It was good review of a good game, Guys! An easy recommendation for fans of classics like: - Divine Tight - Warparty - Conquest of Nerath or - Heroes of Land, Air & Sea. From relatively lately released games it’s my second favorite fantasy based strategy (not tactical) war game, followed by The Struggle for Zorn: The Red Blight and surpassed only by Harrow County (although the latter is more horror than typical Fantasy). Thanks for your work!
Love your videos, remembering to hit the like button more. Are the cube4me card boxes you are using 16mm? It looks about that size? Definitely going to try Burning Banners at the next convention which for me is Strategicon in Los Angeles
Surprised I never bought this when it first came out. I'm just not big on games with cards at any level involved in a game. But i do love Orcs... solitaire?
Hey, thanks for the video guys! Do you have a video on best multiplayer wargames? Other than Burning Banners, are there other wargames that can be played multiplayer that stand out? Thank you very much!

One of my favorite games. Huge bang for the buck and solid enjoyable game play. My only game on BGG that I have rated a 10. I'd play this any time.

I can't wait for the expansion!!

This has been sleeping on my shelf of shame for a few months… Thank you for bringing back to my attention 😁
Unless its crazy expensive I'm getting that.
If $115 is crazy expensive, then it’s crazy expensive.
It is crazy expensive
First time seeing one of your videos. Really enjoy the discussion and insights. Subscribed! Edited to add, I’d love to see a playthrough of this one.
great game, probably the best compass product i have supported.
Are there any weaknesses with the game you can think of?

Been playing with my young son and we both love it, a great gateway game
Is it a gateway game, even with the advanced rules? Or do you only mean the basic mode?

Played today, first time, 5 players, advanced. Great game but it was not short, almost 3h in a scenario with 6 turns

Found the Burning banners card set on the cube4me site. Ignore my last question most are 16mm

Waiting for Burning Bras

have it - don't play it cause the counters are too wide to grip with my reverse tweezers and too thin to rotate with my hands when spent.
Want to sell it?
Get some tokens for spent units.
@@StackingLimit with the shipping cost probably not worth it
Could you play this game "co-op" in the sense of, 2 players in a 1v1 but each controlling more than one of the factions?
@@p.d0t No reason you couldn’t.
