Divine Right was my first fantasy wargame in 1983. Thank you for making this game. It is a must buy for me. Beautiful art. Love the look and the game play looks so fun.
Thanks Moe and Chris for this learn to play, I spotted this at the compass expo and definitely a must buy for me. Nice to see these different game options from Compass.
Happy to provide a look and explanation of the game. That's one of the main goals of the LTP series, along with easing the learning curve for everyone. In this instance, it helps as a first look along with getting a feel for the rules. This isn't a high complexity game and should be one that anyone can enjoy!
Game looks cool! Reminds me of HoMM 3 and the art is simply gorgeous. it was definitely a great idea to work with this artist and do mounted maps! Looking forward to getting my hands on this.
Yeah, you can send an any into a ruin. You reveal a random monster and if you defeat it you get loot and a treasure card with a magic item on it. If you fail, the monster stays and your enemy gets control of it. It can't leave the ruins, but it can be used to "strike" against nearby units and settlements. There is also an Arcane studies phase at the end of each turn where you can draw new.l spells, blessings, and recharge used magic items.
To the best of my knowledge there isn't a solo mode, but it plays fine like any other wargame solitaire. The card play is the only area where there is hidden information. You can play that the same as normal, use what's best for that side in that situation.
Hi, I have a few questions. I'm more curious about the game only as a 2 player game. How many scenarios are 2 players, can the 2+ player scenarios be played 2 players? Are there 2 player four map campaign games? What is the difficulty rating of the game, for me the higher, the better? Not big on games that can be finished in 3 hrs or fewer, are the campaigns very long? Cheers
All scenarios can be played with two players, you just have to run multiple factions. The rules are not overly complex. The complexity will be in the strategy bard on the game state rather than gaming the rules.
@@MoesWargames Hi, I have the game and have played many games in real life, to play with my brother who lives in another country we would love to get the module?
You must have missed out on this on the Thursday Town Hall shows, it's been mentioned several times. No worries, this video will get you up to speed! :)
The Vassal module will be available in a few months but as is normally the case with Vassal modules, you'll need to have a physical copy of the game in order to have all of the charts/tables etc to play.
Price is in line with the level and number of components. It's a big heavy game for up to 6 players, and it's on sale for $90 now. Worth it if you enjoy fantasy based wargames.
Nice to see more fantasy hex and chit wargames, this is an insta back for me, and I hope there are more games like this coming in the future.

1:51 Chris talks about RUclips videos and playthrough with play testers?
Any chance of a link?
Cheers.
Hi Stephen, here’s a link to the basic game tutorial

I’ll post the full play through in a day or two
Aren't you planning to include a solo mode ? I tought all game designed under compass game banner had this option.

Oh this looks like fun.
Yes it is! :)
This looks so good!
Yes it does! :)

Thanks for the video, would it be possible to get the Vassel link I would like to the game mechanics before backing? Thank you
The vassal module is not for public release until after the game has been published.
@@MoesWargames that is unfortunate, I have backed regardless. Would have liked to play it to learn it before I get it though …
