Hey John, I also have the SIM 8 and am having the same issues here in AZ. I appreciate the videos and what you figure out. I did the firmware update to 1.2.8std which mofi told me was the current but I am still having some issues. T-Mobile is sending me a new sim card so hopefully that'll help.
Hey John I'm sure you're sick of the mofi stuff by now, but it looks like verizon is catching on. Just got a warning my sim card was being used in an unauthorized device and I have 14 days to fix it or they're going to terminate my service. I'm sure there's others, or soon will be. I hope the old pc command prompt ttl65 is still going to work..
Unfortunately Verizon catches on quick however you can use data plans with Verizon they will not let you use a cellular phone sim in it. I’ve heard people having luck with the pre-paid or you can try visible they use Verizon towers and have an unlimited hotspot. I think a lot of people are using T-mobile now because they offer rural internet similar to mofi setup
@@rockernro Yeah verizon wireless now offers Home Internet, just not to my area at the moment for some reason. If they did offer it my equipment and everything would be allowed I just need the upgraded plan.
