Good stuff Catherine! I looked and searched, you might consider making a video on Static Line/IAD training. There are a whole lot of DZs out in the lower populated areas of the country flying one or two 182. Considering the aircraft requirements and staffing for AFF, SL/IAD is still a highly viable method. Seems though that folks who have little experience with small "Mom and Pop DZs" have no concept.
static line is the only option for some: im fit, a swimmer and 6'4"220lbs (was 244 but lost weight trying to get down for a second tandem) there are plenty of rigs available, sport and ra-1/mc-xx military, rigs for big people, its just most dzs are full of mid sized people,(and small student rigs). so tandem is not an option and without a single tandem jump alot of dzs wont do aff . i started jumping in 86 ( 170 lbs lol) but got married etc and stopped after a few jumps, now I want back in the sport but Im too big for most places ive contacted. luckily I can afford to buy a custom student rig outright but its still no go because im out of the tandem envelope. crazy how one tandem ride determines iff they will train you aff

Not sure if you'll read this as it's 9 months after your post, but consider trying out a wind tunnel. iFly is the biggest chain around - www.iflyworld.com/ - but there are other tunnels. You can expect to pay about $14.50 - $20 per minute of tunnel time after you do the first time flyer trip for about $70 - $90. When you consider that a minute of tunnel time is roughly the time of a typical skydive freefall, that's way cheaper than a tandem jump. The return flight packages are about $20 per minute if you buy 10 minutes, but if you love it you should check with the manager about block time pricing. I pay $14.50 per minute. They also have a tiered pricing plan where your block time rate goes down as your lifetime spend goes up, but it takes about $10,000 to cross the first threshold so don't plan on it happening quickly. Having done both skydiving and tunnel I can tell you that floating in a tunnel feels exactly like the portion of the skydive when you're at terminal velocity and your inner ear and stomach have caught up with the rest of your body. You will also learn about how to stabilize and control your body during free fall so that it's muscle memory once you actually do an AFF skydive - thus, one (very important) thing you don't have to worry about while you're maintaining situational awareness of, doing your altimeter checks, etc., etc. Tunnel flying in and of itself is also fun and highly addictive. Here's a link to a video of a young lady from Poland named Maja Kuczynska. She is one of the best tunnel fliers in the world. ruclips.net/video/zrxRcmepzIY/видео.html If there's a wind tunnel near you, I know iFly offers 'staff time' to employees - as in, tunnel time you don't have to pay for because it's part of your compensation. If there's not, see if you can swing a part-time job at your local drop zone doing stuff you don't need a license for such as sweeping the hangar, washing the aircraft, handling the reservations/bookings if the normal person isn't there, etc., in exchange for an hourly wage and an employee discount rate on tandem jumps - i.e., if an instructor has an available time slot you can jump at cost or cost plus 10%. The other thing you may consider is selling food and drink at your local drop zone if they don't have much there already. Set up a cooler and snacks, maybe offer some sandwiches or whatever food you feel comfortable preparing. Pay attention to your local health laws about preparing food for sale - they may require you to use an inspected and certified kitchen, or they may exempt you from the inspection requirement if you meet certain criteria. Also, do check if you need to collect and remit sales tax. Nobody bothers a kid with their lemonade stand, but if you're a fixture at the drop zone then you're a business and will be treated like a business. The point of the selling stuff idea is to get known to the community at the drop zone. @@MediQate i think having b license can work as coach & can earn
Great video. That was helpful. Do I need to be a US citizen?
A Pakistani guy ahmad video bring me here who jump with pakistani flag ... I subscribe watch and learn a lot abuot skydive, new thing in my knowledge that except aviation staff a common man also can enjoy the sky. just wow
Roughly how much does it cost for your own equipment?
You can approximate around $3000-$5000 USD used. New is more around $8000-$10000 USD
For me it was:
Helmet $400
Digital altimeter and sleeve $380
Newer used complete rig $6800
Gloves $25
Total = $7605
@@Bcp69 Thanks for the breakdown
Remember that getting your own gear will cost you between 6K and 10K if you buy it new. Prices can be a lot cheaper if you buy them second-hand.
In future I got the license can I get the job easily for skydiver instructed.and how much he earn.
The course is costing me 2750 for the aaf course Australia for you
Interesting. It may cover more jumps. Is it for 10 or up to 25?
Skydive Vibes was only 9 jumps but including 20 minutes tunnel :)
Im doing my AFF course in dallas anyone else?
Dallas skydive center or Skydive Spaceland? I live in Dallas and am interested.
when you are already on youtube and don't want to open a new tab and just search it on yt
Are you from Quebec?
Yes I am! And you?
@@SkydiveVibes Yeah mew too!! Hahaha
Can I jump with my own camera for free? (gopro attached to hand)
Marcelo Paiva I think so
In fact, usually no. You can always ask your tandem instructor but you need experience to jump with a camera. What if a cord entangle around your camera, would you know how to react? This is why usually you can't.
I am looking for AFF PROFESSIONAL COURSE IN DUBAI ? PLEASE GUIDE ME
Skydive Dubai is a good place to start asking. ;)
Mam , how much salary have a sky diver instructor ?? Tell me
It is on a per jump basis really so if you jump all year that is more profitable than half year. ;)
@@SkydiveVibes dont laugh mam, but i am completed only para basic course 😂🤣 but my dreem is become a skydiver plz show me direction
My local dropzone says it takes 25 jumps to complete your AFF, and it cost $2,900...
Idk about that...for me it was 7 AFF jumps to be cleared for Solo Student, then 25 for A License. I would reclarify that with them.
@@Bcp69 I'm gonna take the class next spring either way. Hopefully it is shorter or cheaper. I think I saw some used rigs for $2,000 to $3,000. After I pay for classes and buy one of those I'll be broke
That being said
I am Rahul from India and very excited to fly on the sky. I am following your videos from couple of days that's enlighten on me many ways to think about skydiving like how to fly, where to fly, cost perspective n all.. thanks a lot for sharing videos... Please provide your Gmail or Hotmail or Twitter account where I can clear my doubts before travel there.
Lodi:
Tandem 13k $99
Fun jump 13k $15
Hop & pop $5
Deaths: 47 (not actual number)
Pounds?
If this skydive have in Singapore I should do it 🤔🤣
I paid $180 for the jump, video, and photos
Nice price. Where was that?
That pendant is distracting 🤪
My husband paid $407 for my package, came with a shirt...lol
At this price i'd rather just get into base jumping right away
Well you need to be a skydiver first if you want a coach to help. I wouldn't recommend to try it on your own...
@@SkydiveVibes I'm kidding. But yeah I'm the type of dude to get into wingsuit base but right now I've spent all my money on whitewater kayaking, speedflying, paragliding, speedriding, skiing, etc... :( one day
Haha Stay safe though!
I thought each jump was like $150 THANK GOD
Haha not once you are licensed!! Or I couldn't afford doing 50 jumps a year hahaha
video starts at 3:33
this woman talks too much
All women do !
You'll find time codes in the description. ;)
Or you know, you could've actually listened to the lady and heard *HER TELL YOU* that you can just go into the desc to find the part of the video you want, or did you just come here to be a dick? I'm pretty sure you came here just to be a dick.
0:55 is right where she tells you lol.
Why you need to talk 4 minutes before telling us th3 prices

Im a poor boy if i become a rich i definatly get skydive service 💔
