9:20 "A path of experimentation rather than expectation". Man thank you for that! My next jump is solo tracking and I will bring that knowledge with me.
My favorite of the whole video "Experiment rather than expect." Going for my license this spring/summer, in addition to some iFLY for practice, and am excited to start "experimenting!"
I'm working my way through your videos so you might of done this already but a video on how to plan a TR1 skydive would be handy for all those in the UK learning TR1. It's part of the syllabus. Thanks for the upload dude, very helpful, as always! 🙌😎
Great video!!! Absolutely benefited from how you explained the tracking position. Just found your channel, Love your content! From this $hi++y skydiver.... keep it up!!!
Great video as always! Really like this beginner tracking video! Any tips for staying close to Coach? I can’t seem to maintain proximity throughout the whole jump.
No worries, yep generally this is caused because most people need to slow their mind down. The excitement of something new and also the adrenaline of danger makes us move and react a lot quicker. Slowing the mind and giving smaller inputs make a massive difference. If you can get there its not a control issue as you already got there. It would be more of a fine tuning issue. Watch your thoughts when you are flying, when you start noticing/watching the thoughts that happen before a reaction that is consistent, then you can crack what to do to fix the issue.
@@downunderdynamics appreciate it mate!! Makes a lot of sense to me! Im kind of like an excited puppy when I get good proximity. Definitely am over zealous with the correctional control inputs! Cant wait for more content!
Hello! I did my first tandem jump not long ago and I still have to do my AFF training (next month). I watched a lot of AFF training videos. But do you recommend me watching videos of more experienced people (like this guy with 50 jumps) ? I don't want to get a false sense of confidence but I'm also very eager to start flying! Thanks for the video!
Reading through comments and saw yours. I just finished AFF had 3 jumps i had to retake. 2 that left me shook afterwards. Best basic advice is if you get out of control do your best to arch and relax. And just keep going back regardless of how much a bad jump left you feeling uneasy. It's 100% worth pushing through the nerves of a bad jump!
Great video! I too am new to the sport with 47 jumps! Hoping to learn every jump! Question I have, isn't the adjustment of the "head down" going to force a more vertical, but not so much a horizontal dive? I've been trying to learn more "free flying" only my "transitions" seem to be lacking something?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Blue Skies 😊
Yes and no. If you tip your head too much you will go over, but if you tip it just a bit it will allow you to stay on an angle and creat forward movement through the sky. you have to adjust with the rest of the body as well.
You’re videos are very helpful and educational! What app or software are you using in this video that shows the drag with each body position you illustrate?
Awesome video bro. Im an Aus based jumper. I’ve been struggling controlling my angle whilst tracking in a tracking suit. Are the same principles applicable to a tracking suit? Looking forward to trying these techniques clean skin at least. See you at Xmas boogie 🤘
Hey mate, They are similar but you won't get anywhere if you are arching in the tracking suit. you wanna fly it a bit steeper so the inlets fill up properly, if you fly flat you will propas heaps, if you feel this then steepen your body a bit, it will then smooth out. just tip it over a little at a time until you feel it pick up stability and speed. the widening and narrowing will control your speed.
Tunnel at Ifly Downunder in Sydney Australia, skydive coaching at Byron bay and once all these travel restrictions ease I'll be doing larger 1-2 week camps in Poland at flyspot again
Nice to see you man!! It's been a while. Any chance you wanna come visit a tunnel in Oslo. ISG 299 euro per hour sound okay?? Send me a message man and come say hi.... Bring friends ;)
@@BjornarKnutsen cheers mate, does sound good but I’ll have too see how my year is planning out. It’s been a long while since we have caught up or been there. So def intriguing indeed mate
Brilliant video, I’m new and want to learn about control for tracking. I’m also interested in the cause of deaths. If you know, could you tell me about the percentage and causes of deaths from skydiving 🪂 - I can only assume collisions, poor landing, and [ I’d hope to a lessor degree] incorrectly packed chutes. Thanks in advance and I appreciate the video man
Cheers mate. I've got some on the channel about controls. ill be doing some more in the future too tho. Unfortunately I don't know the exact percentage. I have had a bunch of friends go. But its a lot from canopy accidents and landings. The freefall is generally pretty safe, generally. Usually its when people loose awareness of their surroundings due to over stimulation, stress, over confidence and distraction.

Cheers, its def a key for progression I have found.
You are an AWESOME teacher. I am so glad you found this profession and are sharing the knowledge with us!
9:23 extremely powerful piece of information right here. I love that quote
I just finished AFF, so I'm guessing I'll be learning how to track here soon. Such a great explanation of the body positions.
Really useful video, thanks for taking the time to put it together in such a way as to make sense
GREAT I learned a lot thank you. can't wait to try it
Rolemodel for Skycoaching! Exelent job mate! :)
Great work, all this knowledge and for free, thank you
Follow up. I made my first solo tracking jump today and when I got my hips up I started sailing along. Thanks!
Yeh nice one, glad I could help
really appreciate this video. Seeing the way you presented this info made a few things click for me thank you.
Great work… thank you.. blue skies!!

Ayyy, same dude. Plan on going when it warms up, but content with the tunnel for now. Learning how to back fly
Super helpful brother, cheers
Great video. I'm just getting into Instructing and this is helpful.
Cheers, good to know.
Thanks on AFF level 7 so very useful.
Loving all the videos dude!, they’re definitely helping myself improve my own skills. Great visuals really make it sink in 🤘🏻
Great video. Will practice this tomorrow.
Great information 🤟
thanks for great video

No worries, I'll have to look into it, I'm not familiar with the uk system
@@downunderdynamics Thanks dude. The UK seems to require a lot more hoops to be jumped through and qualifications gained etc to do disciplines.
Awesome lesson

Watch and learn everything u can is my advice, u will see a range of good and bad stuff. Take everything with a grain of salt and just absorb the info

Cheers, its called wind tunnel, on the app store
Yes
Of course for people in the Northern hemisphere we need to do the inverse of these positions :D
Amazing video ! Really helpful 🤘👍.
Wich Software do u use for windflow?
Cheers.
Its called wind tunnel, free on the App Store.
Thank you.
What is the program that uses to model the position of the parachutist and does it show you the aerodynamic drag?
Wind tunnel, should be on the app store

what is the app you're using for the air flow simulation? Very handy
It's called “wind tunnel” It should be on the app store. Definitely handy that one
Hi :) What is the name of the mobile application to simulate air impacting different figures?
Wind tunnel, on the app store
Wind tunnel, on the app store
what, the screem black, when do you put the position and look fkuid wind???
Where are you located for tunnel coaching?
Tunnel at Ifly Downunder in Sydney Australia, skydive coaching at Byron bay and once all these travel restrictions ease I'll be doing larger 1-2 week camps in Poland at flyspot again
how to go left
how to go right
how to go forward towards the head
how to go backwards towards the feet.
👋👋👋
What program is that?
"Wind tunnel" on the App Store
What app are you using to show the body shape and relative wind ?
It's called “windtunnel” on the app store, works on iPhone and ipads, not sure about androids
Just watching this makes my hands sweat horribly... I don't think I can do it lol
