And on Quest 3 VR headset on very big virtual screen, it is very, full life size!. Possibly better detail in 4K , but great to watch. Thanks. Laurie NZ
Love your work, Phil, even though you omitted my two favourite parts of that station. Sitting under the Miller Street North entry concourse, one level down, is a large glass bike storage room. Register online to use it then access it via a registered Opal card. It's very European in its vibe. It will be interesting to see if it will be used more by people riding to the station from the local area, or by people storing their older bike there for them to ride it from the station to their work in a neighbouring suburb - as their own 'last mile' solution'. This practice is why so many Europeans ride two bikes to work/stud,y with a rail connection in the middle. The second visual worth checking when next you're at VicX as it calls itself is the streetscape at the end of the Dennison Street exit, which Lend Lease has created as a groovy laneway, complete with the retro Metro station nameplate. It opens onto the small plaza in front of the new Nine TV studios, the Sydney Morning Herald newsroom and the Microsoft and SAP office tower at 1 Denison. It's a street, incidentally, that no-one had heard of until about three years ago, because there's never been a building previously that had it as its street address.
What are the nearest cross streets for each of the exits please? - Miller St North, Miller St South and Denistone? (Trying to organise a meeting point)
Hi Phil, thanks for sharing another interesting video. This station looks a bit like the inside of a giant space ship. I notice the Denison Street escalators at the bottom reach out slightly further than the Miller Street South escalators. How far is North Sydney station from Victoria Cross station? Love all the high ceilings. Anyway, take care. Rob in Melbourne Australia.
Well covered, thanks. Fairly sure I read that the southern exit is located closer to the surface than the northern one being under a hilly area. It will also be more used given it is closer to the business area. Both factors help explain why the northern end is lifts only.
Hey Phil im not sure if this is of interest to you but last night (Sun) both the Libs & Labour on the 6pm news have committed to keeping the 50c Qld state wide public transport fares a permanent thing (for now anyway).
Do you think the union strikes will still go ahead starting from the 18th September 2024? There hasn't been a single mention or update on that since the 9th September 2024.
I had a look at your channel and it's weird to say the least. No one will watch any of it, you need to pivot and think of some new themes and new ideas.
Thanks again, it’s great to watch and see the new rail stations over in Sydney. Worth a trip over just to experience them in person now. Laurie. NZ. 😊
The extra lifts carry pupils and staff to schools, medical offices and the local council offices

What does it cost you to go onto these stations without actually getting on a train?
Nothing!
Great video Phil. Happy to see you at Marrickville. Hope we can collaborate sometime.
