Thanks for the great trip. I lived in Ryde Eastwood for thirty years so familiar with some of the comments. Worked at Mac Uni in its very early days as well. Love all the clear video. I am going on the full Metro trip tomorrow from tallawong to Sydenham. Hope to have some video for you, soon. Non-stop Tallawong to Sydenham, upfront, then some stops on the way back in a couple of places from a side view.
Love the metro was down on Friday from the central coast for a concert and hopped off the train at epping and caught the metro the rest of the way to central for a change.
Yes, people in Sydney, for some reason, often expect me to squeeze to the side because they're walking side by side and heaven forbid they should go single file. Being larger than the majority, I'm not averse to putting my shoulder in.
Should be 2 mins peak and 5 mins off-peak including weekends. We need to excuse Sydney metro from transport from NSW management and let it run completely independently because the timetable writers are stuck with commuter rail mentality for a metro service
Could you get Metro to Mac Uni and get a 291, 292 or 550, or possibly even the 545 towards Eastwood? I feel your pain, I used to catch the 288 a lot as I live in Marsfield and it was useful to get me to Epping or Mac Uni stations.
Hello 👋I had a wonderful time watching this video phil, unfortunately i hardly get to go on the metro which is extremely dissapointing i hope your coffee was amazing! also how was the air-conditioning on the metro for this specific day? -Nick (Ansairdude)
One day you should try going from your house to Redfern and then getting the intercity train to Epping since every now and then they stop at Redfern only the Blue Mountains. Don't stop at Redfern now before it used to be Central Coast. I think they've update the timetable and I know that because last time I went with a support worker was going to Strathfield on the train and then I ran for the Oscar at Central I wanted to get into city since you know into cities faster to get to Strathfield from Central and it's limited stops and if you have a day off work you should record the Bankstown Southwest link buses at every location so you start from Bankstown and work your way along and the T6 Lidcombe, you should start at Lidcombe then go to the stops in the middle as wellwish didn't run any millennium since millennium don't have announcements and I hope they would run T Sets along the new lead come to Bankstown line? should run Oscars along that line as well once I took an into city from Central to Parramatta that one doesn't stop at Redfern but I think probably just only sometimes it stops fair now now I've noticed a couple of trains have stopped there services. You should try taking the train to Chatswood and to the Metro from there to go to work, and that one you have to try to get the Central Coast service

Interesting trip on the metro. Thanks for sharing. It is the pity though that they have cut back the bus services.

We should start a petition. Bring back the 288!
Looks like a New York subway train, everyone looking down, depressing.
I always used to get the 288/291, but it now never lines up with the T9! So I pretty much only get the 550 now...
The 288/291 were so convenient!
On the way home from work if there’s no buses coming i duck across the road to get the 292 to Wynyard :)

9:41 people that run for the metro during peak periods never learn
Is there not a bus from Macquarie Uni station to Marsfield?
Yeah there is.
The same ones that go from Epping :)
@@sydneytrainsvlogs Ah!
nice one
Thank you :)
i like the sound of this
Me too
Cheers :)
Metro looks like it needs the extra 2 carriages or the extra frequency it is supposed to have.

Yeah, like, why did you stay on as far as Epping if you could’ve just got off at Macquarie Uni? Need some sort of city-wide e-bike service!
Nihan ❤ 😂🎉
only realised that this was filmed back in september hence the older PIDs
288 now operates between Macquarie University and City Erskine Street/City Sussex Street.

TfNSW doesn't think😢
Does anyone know what that godawful damp stench at Central concourse is?
It smells like bad mould
Sydney people seem to hurry more. Trying to squeeze more into their busy lives.
While I love the Metro, I don't love the bus changes either.... Cheers
8:04 hi-viz monasticism!
The Metro being shown up by Sydney Trains when it was supposed to be faster.
It’s only the Newcastle and Central Coast trains that beat it, the normal and semi-express T9s are slower than Metro from Central to Epping.

did your bus run on jet fuel?
Lol it seems like it
So we get to see you reflection in the glass doors.
You could walk down Epping Highway if you are desperate
Hey Phil, being very complimentary toward the Government, not!!! Mate, time to move to Melbourne!!
It’s been one year since Waterloo had a community open day on 29 October 2023
Time has gone so fast!
