The best money I made this tournament was betting Jannik Sinner on the game spread against Sebastian Baez. That was one of the biggest mismatches I've seen in recent history. Baez has finagled his way into the top 30 by playing in every tournament possible despite having limited weapons and being a fringe top 100 talent.

@@RobbieStacks90 that's the dumbest, most ignorant comment I've seen in a while, well done sir. Sinner comes from a region in Italy called South Tyrol (Alto Adige), which is a multilingual region of Italy where one of the official languages is German...of course he speaks Italian, because he is Italian, but he also speaks German, because of the history of the Italian province he comes from (used to be controlled by the Austro-Hungarian empire)

    • @RobbieStacks90

Sinner, Medvedev, Alcaraz and Zverev have reached an amazing level. I never saw such level in tennis before. The fact that Djokovic is still winning slams having such rivals (plus other beasts that are extremely good too, like Tsisipas, Khachanov, Rublev) is something that leaves me speechless. What happened last night is more real: the young genius showed the best that age matters, and that the end is probably approaching. Long live Nole!

Djokovic is the GOAT because of a combination of factors like longevity, fitness, mentality, etc. And purely on the game, he beats you with his consistency and tactics. Not necessarily on power.
Sinner, on the other hand, can hit you out of the game. Even though he's primarily a baseliner, he got that urgency to complete points fast, like Federer, and he goes all out on all his shots...definitely a very dangerous opponent when on song.

Yes from the commentators saying would not matter at the time to might be the chance to break him was the main turning point. Novak would have again taken it to tie breakers and it would have further gone to fifth set. That drop shot though and the return by Sinner !!

Big tennis. Seismic performance, Sinner a big winner here, at an event Djojokic has won so many times. Would Medvedev or Zverev have any chance if Sinner keeps zipping the ball like this? Hopefully Yannik can bring this level of tennis to Europe, at the French Open, Wimbledon etc. At the moments Sinner seems to have a great future and a personality which is very popular. He loves and respects the game and the fans.
