    Class Notes:
    Welcome to sketching for interior designers
    This course is about the fundamentals of drawing and is meant for beginners or those looking for a refresher.
    It's for those who want to be able to quickly take the creativity and visuals that are their mind and share it with others!
    Formula for success
    Every artist who is proficient in drawing understands the following
    * tools,
    * techniques,
    * principles &
    * elements
    That I will be teaching you in this course.
    For those who are more mathematically inclined, this is going to be your formula or equation.
    So let's dig into each one of these quickly, and then we can dive a little deeper in the following lessons.
    Making a PIZZA
    I like to simplify drawing by thinking about making a pizza,
    Elements
    The main ingredients list that come together to create the result.
    * Pizza: doe, sauce, cheese, toppings
    * Drawing: shapes lines (details) tone
    Principles
    The order in which the ingredients are applied
    * Pizza: doe then sauce then cheese then toppings
    * Drawing: first you draw the main shapes, then you bring in the line(details), then you bring in the tone.
    Technique
    How the ingredients are applied physically
    * Pizza: how long do you cook your pizza? depends on the technique or style.
    * Drawing: how many lines do you put in your drawing? Depends on the technique or style too!
    Tools
    The instruments we use to apply the technique
    * Pizza: oven, pan,
    * Drawing: pencils, paper or the digital equivalent.
    so the thought process behind drawing is a lot like the thought process behind making a pizza.
    In order to master either one you need
    * the right elements
    * the right principles
    * the right techniques
    * the right tools
    Just like cooking pizza you don't get it perfect on the first try. over time practicing this mindset and workflow will become second nature, and you will get faster and faster at it and produce better and better results.
