I always wear a belt with any bottoms that have belt loops - it looks more finished and polished. I also love them for giving shape to dresses, many summer dresses don’t have fitted waists, especially linen ones (they are cooler if loose, but don’t look as nice on rectangular-shaped, petite me). Good leather designer belts are an item I tend to splurge on, they last forever so they only have to be purchased once (unless there is weight gain). Genuine leather footwear is breathable, softens, stretches and conforms to the foot shape, and it looks ten times better and lasts ten times longer, it’s all I buy. I tried two different brand pairs of plastic (“faux leather/vegan leather”) ones in the past and they both cut up my feet, never again. I agree with all your summer essentials.
Thanks Kimberly for sharing your thoughts and agree with you 100% that wearing a belt with any bottoms does look more finished and polished 💯 and so much better in terms of footwear as well! Wishing you a happy new week 😘
The summers are so hot where I live, 35-40C, that I only wear linen clothing. I prefer skirt outfits and, especially, dresses, but also wear shorts and occasionally, trousers - all in 100% linen. This summer I finally have a full, all-linen capsule wardrobe, which is great, our summers last at least five months, so I need a lot of selection in linen. I have unlined or cotton-lined linen blazers in my basic wardrobe colors to add for cool mornings, these are hard to find and I’m always looking for more colors. I also love 100% linen jersey and Poetry/Wrap London and Banana Republic have some nice items in this fabric. It’s as cool as woven linen, but unlike it, it doesn’t need ironing (delicate cycle, hang or dry flat to air-dry). H&M also has some for those with smaller budgets, but they tend to be much too big in the shoulders and neckline and are too low-cut for me. I’m 164 cm, a fairly slender petite, but I can’t size down more because of my full/average bust, and really, with H&M’s cuts it doesn’t even help that much. They seem to design and cut for 6-foot tall, large-frame women. Nice video, thanks, Lauren🙂
Hi Kimberly, it does sound very hot where you live with those temperatures 🌞 so I can understand why you only wear linen clothing, congratulations on the 100% linen capsule wardrobe, that sounds lovely and I imagine it would have taken you some time and effort to curate ❤ Banana Republic has some lovely items so glad you mentioned the brand, I need to go back on to their website! It's also good to hear about H&M - I feel as a petite I'm starting to get a lot of my new wardrobe additions altered anyway so might check out their range as well. Thanks again and so happy you liked it! 🙂
Yes we are finally having summer here in Calgary, Canada. June was cool and rainy then July came in with a vengeance of warm (hot) weather, up to 34c which is warm for us Canadians. Not complaining though, winter always comes back!!! Thank you for another wonderful video!🌷❤️🇨🇦
Hi Margaret, it sounds like lovely weather over in Calgary, I hope you're enjoying it 🌞 That does sound quite warm for Canada but hope you have a beautiful summer as you're right, winter will return before we know it! Happy new week to you 😘
Such very beautiful, friendly and natural and at the same time very nice/elegant summer outfits and wardrobe essentials. I wish You a very pleasant new week and a happy summer 😍🌷🌺
Your wardrobe is elegant & chic ❤ I've brought some wide legged linen & silk trousers; you can dress up or casual. I've added some extra linen shirts & a couple of linen maxi dressers. We are in the dead of Winter here 😢 But I've something to look forward to 😊
Thanks a lot Robyn and lovely to hear about the items you have in your wardrobe for summer too 💯🌞🌼 the wide legged trousers sound lovely, I hadn't thought of silk ones but actually they would be very comfortable and classic, dressed up or down like you mentioned ❤ and the linen shirts and maxi dresses are must-haves, I think you're very well prepared for when the warmth and sunshine returns! 😍 Thanks so much and hope you have a lovely week ahead! 😘
Such a beautiful selection! Love your taste. You have such a lovely figure , look so beautiful in all of them. I love white all year round, but especially in summer. I have white tops, skirts, pants, shorts, but not a dress! I tried to find a perfect one the last two summers, but didn't succeed as I didn't like the oversize style in each store. This year I might be lucky enough to find one with more tailoring but still flowy and comfortable. Excellent video, Lauren!
Thank you so much, that's lovely feedback ❤ Ah a white dress is a must in the future then! Have you had a look at Reiss? They have some lovely linen ones online at the moment that are tailored but still would be comfortable
You want summer come on over NYC we are boiling in here Tuesday up coming we got 99! 😮. The summer wear can be tested under brutal nyc concrete streets and underground subway. Bonus get the best deo and a water thermos to hold cold. Maybe a cool towel 😅. Happy Sunday Lauren
Wow, well feel free to send some warmth over the pond then because we're still waiting for the heat over here! Do you have AC on the underground? It get's pretty muggy on the Paris metro during summer (which I'll probably start complaining about as soon as the heat arrives 😂). Thanks Irvin, hope you have a great Sunday 😘
@@LaurenGraceHarding ac in subways stations nope, the cars yes. Like it can get stuffy and uncomfortable. Here is the worse part if people are crowded in platforms it’s sweaty and uncomfortable. That’s if nyc subway works lmao.

this is helpful to know for when I visit NYC in the future - it sounds pretty similar to Paris so I'll be well-prepared 😉
If your skirt is satin, your raffia bag might rough up and ruin where it touches your skirt.
If you choose a good quality rattan or raffia bag this shouldn't be an issue - but being selective with the items you pair together is important
She has it listed in the description as viscose
