This tutorial was more difficult for me to make, but I hope you found it helpful anyways! You might have noticed in the thumbnail it says part one. That's because clothing is a more complicated topic for me to talk about and there's so much that goes into it that a part two will probably come at some point. Reply to this comment with things you'd like me to talk about in that video for a more in-depth discussion about clothing!

You're not bad at explaining things at all, Oliver! I swear, your tutorial videos are SO HELPFUL, like, life-changing, really. I love how you break it down to smaller steps and how you give tons of little tips and hints that honestly make the biggest difference. I'm excited to pick up my sketchbook and try drawing some clothes and shoes now (I've watched your shoe tutorial earlier today).
My only problem that you haven't specifically addressed is that I LOVE graphic t-shirts (like, those that have stuff written on them or at least have some sort of snazzy drawing on them) and I'd love to dress my characters in those as well, but I never know how to distort the writing/drawing in a way that makes sense, you know? BUT I believe that your basic explanations about wrinkles will come in handy for that as well. You'll only know it if you try it, amirite? Haha! Anyways, thanks for the tutorial and sorry for the giant comment. I'm just really excited about learning all this after so many years struggling to draw clothes and stuff. >w

Ok so this helped me so much?????? Like especially with shirts, I had no idea how to do the wrinkles and things. For the first time (like ever) I looked at what I drew and thought "oh my goodness this is actually really cool!!" I had no idea how much knowing how to draw clothes benefited the art, thank you so much!!! I will always have this video on hand when I draw the clothing now:D

There are different types of folds, like the swag fold which comes from the fabric being held by two points of tension and being pulled down by gravity. It is also important to note the shading, the part that pokes out in the fold is always the lightest.
