I remember watching your dad on tv when I was a young boy, that was great entertainment ! Thanks to the Eastman family for taking us along for the ride ! Great stuff !
Oh boy, do I ever remember so fondly of seeing your dad personally narrate his films. I think it was the only time I sat still and listened to anybody. I got to see Challenging the NWT and HW&F. I was just a kid, but it had a huge impact on me. I still watch his films on vhs and dvd several times a year. But I never got to hunt Stones sheep, dang it!
Hey Mike. Sorry I missed this video when you put it out 2 weeks ago but here I am now watching it and getting all Nostalgic because I saw the Original video when your Father put it out years ago. Love it and Thanks Again for it. As I mentioned once before, I used to call your Mom to order Gordon's videos. I enjoyed talking to her and she told me your Dad was away doing something most of the time. I think she might have been happy to talk to me when I ordered those videos. Stay Well. Tommy
Howdy I remember you guys. I went to School with Mike Marks and spent alot of time at their house. I remember the Pack that lived in the Enclosure at the Marks Home. I am a long time fan of all your Dad's Films. Thanks
Mike I never miss any of your stories and love them all, but this one with your mother's song was special!! (Almost as special as when your wife met the bear in the w😅ndow!
Mike, Your entire family has been blessed with some incredible adventures. Thank you for sharing each and everyone of these. Did your dad ever know Jack O’Connor? If so, did they ever hunt together?
My dad hunted Rock Cucks with Jack and as a kid I would go along with them and Jack. Also in one of the Blaze Trails episodes about hunting Alaska in 1957 I show photos when they got back and Jack measured the trophies for B&C.It's in that episode.
Best wildlife films ever made, they could not be duplicated in this day and age. The footage he took really is so important because it is a snapshot in time. North of the Sun is my favorite for that specific reason. I hate to say it but we are very lucky it was recorded when it was, before that self sustaining way of life was replaced by essentially socialism and government handouts.
Couldn't tell your how many times I've watched High Wild and Free, along with his other videos since childhood. Always wondered what cartridge he used to take that ram.
This is my favourite Gordon Eastman film! As a British Columbian, I am jealous of the places he was able to hunt in my home province, that I have not yet seen. One question, what rifle and caliber did your dad use?
Cool video! I thought you had to have a $10,000 gun - $1,000 backpack and $3,000 worth of clothes to get a sheep of that caliber?? But, things were a bit different back then, thx for sharing,

Jack, The wolf pen was down the fall creek road at Dad's ranch house. But Dad and Wes Marks worked on several films in the early 70's. Mike Eastman

Awesome footage please keep posting these gems there priceless.
* What a great video and a beautiful song.
Such a great experience
Good job
These old videos are wonderful. Those were the glory days now a hunt is $100,000.00 which is pure insanity and impossible to justify
I agree, try Africa it's economical to hunt.
Love the videos Mike!

@@BlazedTrailsForgotten My all-time favorite cartridge, been my main hunting cartridge since 1994. Thank you for the info.
