@dazzler6992 You will receive threatening letters,once a month or so. Just bin them,you are better off telling them that you no longer will be watching any live broadcasts,and that you only use your tv for streaming,and gaming. That will keep them away for a while.
Cancel it the right way . . . it takes all of less than 5 mins on the BBC portal. That way you don't have to be worrying about letters (which you MAY get the odd one) and certainly not any bailiffs.

We did 16 years ago. After the retiring head of BBC radio, Jenny Abramsky , took home a £4 million pension pot. By the way, she's only 77 now, so retired a 61 with a £4 million pension pot, every penny of which was paid by the license fee payer - three quarters via the BBC pension scheme and one quarter via her licence fee funded salary.

Just 13 and 18 year sentences which they won't fully serve - nowhere near in fact. I know someone who got sentenced to 19 years for a similar conviction and got out in just 5 years then became a 'women' (no kidding!!). If they were not here in the first place this wouldn't have happened, no victims, and we wouldn't be paying to keep them in prison. No doubt, when they are released they will still be allowed to stay, probably won't get a job and forever paid for by us till they die. Don't forget, these are the ones that actually get caught, many many others don't!

@@johnlovett5134The simplest way, is stop paying it. If you pay by direct debit, simply cancel it. Or whatever method you use just stop it. After that you will likely get letters, ignore them. Don't correspond with Capita, the company the BBC use to administer the fee. Then if you are unlucky, a goon might pay you a visit, if you you do open your door, ask who they are and from where, if the say BBC licence, say no thank you and close the door. Ignore them everytime, and never invite them into your home. Say nothing, to any of them, that way they shouldn't be able to fabricate lies to say you were watching live TV or accessing the BBC I player. Don't be scared, I've done it for roughly 5 years now, had one visit I know of, loads of letters, but have simply ignored them.

Personal experience. When the demand for the license payment comes through, phone them, tell them the reason you are cancelling. (In my case the lady said 'oh that's a strange request, but OK'). They may check afterwards that you are not receiving a signal to a TV, but they never checked in my case.

Go online, fill out the form that says you no longer need a TV license. It’s then valid for 2 years. So many people are cancelling their license now that the BBC will just have to accept it now, there’s no way they can afford to investigate millions of cancellations. Plus, if you don’t watch the BBC then you should have absolutely zero guilt.
I just rang them up about 2 years ago and told I would no longer be paying a TV licence they asked me why , I said I don't watch BBC it disgusts a cover up for nonces , and I had paid them £30 already and I wanted it back and they sent me a cheque for the £30 .they said they would ask in the near future if I changed my mind I said I won't. I told my kids to do the same .they should be banned with all the propaganda they spew out and all the covering up of the perverts in the BBC 😮
