Scott's hit is top 5 for sure, but there are at least 2 Ray hits that eclipse it: the block for McAlister, and the Darren Sproles hit. First one because it was just ridiculous, second one because it was one of the most high IQ defensive plays of the era AND a big hit.
@@Sp00ken as a young Ravens fan (22) one thing I was old enough to remember- BEN WAS ONE TOUGH SOG. It annoyed me bro averaged like 6 injuries a game and came back next game, quarter, minute, PLAY. He’s not the best QB ever, but he does deserve his respect amongst the great QBs.
Looks like a smart football play to me. He sees two eligible players running in his direction and eliminates the nearest one. Ward could definitely be an option on that play with the other player going to block for him.
Love this. Redskins are my team but Ravens are my second favorite. My great uncle Pete owned PSI net which had naming rights to ravens stadium so i got love for them because of that. I will say that the Redskins beat the Ravens both super bowl years.😂 Even my grandmothers obituary said "Diehard Redskins and Ravens fan."
I tried searching RUclips for this hit and I couldn’t find it, do you know what quarter it happened? Some hits are nearly impossible to find in good quality and I don’t have the time to rewatch every game in our history. I figured this video would be a good starting place (I can always make a part 2).
@Sp00ken I think Chris McAllister had a big hit on H. Ward in the game, Jamal Lewis hit 2000 yards rushing in as well. I was at that game, but I was drunk as hell and only remember about 2 or 3 plays, and I believe that game went into O.T.
I absolutely LOVE my Ravens, and I know this play helped us win our first ring... But Goose falling on Gannon still bothers me. Ed Reed's cheap shot on the Colts player and that Eagle's punter getting detonated were uncalled for as well.
@@marcusdarden1535 you just respect the integrity of the game and that’s valid. I’ll always be a Raven’s fan, but there are some things we got away with where the FOOTBALL fan in me just didn’t like or questionable calls I would’ve been fine with not going our way.
Ravens are literally the team who’s defense will knock you out in a dark alley. Everytime my team has them on the list, I get scared. Especially if it’s against Ray Lewis and Ed Reed
Wow ! And that hit on Derrick Henry wasn’t very long ago 😮 But that hit that Ray put on # 55 to spring that field goal miss back was epic ✌🏾 Wow ! & Big Ben was as tough as they came concerning the QB position 🤕 ( Lets Go Ravens ) 💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜 👊🏾
There’s 2 other videos on RUclips on the biggest Ravens hits and they are both 4 minutes long, this video is almost 18 minutes long and has plenty of hits from other Ravens. There’s 54 total hits in this video, 16 of them were by Ray Lewis.. He’s one of the hardest hitting linebackers to play, of course he’s going to have a lot of clips. Not to mention finding clips from non popular ravens are almost impossible to find
Also, the Ngata hit against Mendenhall Ravens vs. steelers week 1 when we blew out the steelers that game. Every true Ravens fan knows what game I'm talking about
Still can't believe DBs are getting ejected these days because QBs are too stupid to not throw death passes where the receiver's getting high-low tackled by the CB and Safety. What was Tannehill thinking? "Moore's gonna get knocked out here but at least we'll get penalty yardage in a game we're guaranteed to lose!" Hamilton didn't even spear him, it was facemask to helmet.
ravens fan here and Hamilton hit on Moore was def a hit that should have got him thrown out the game he's not a dirty player but that was dangerous imo
As it should be! He played 16 years with us and is our greatest defense player ever. To be fair though I don’t think all of his clips are even half the length of this video
The Henry one is meh, he clearly landed poorly from the jump and was already falling to the ground. Not the big hit it looks like in real time. Love me some good ravens and steelers hard hits highlights.
as a ravens fan come on ravens with these helmet to helmet hits dudes was getting knock out im sorry for being soft and fair Ray lewis didnt have to hit dirty u felt every inch of pain n dizzyness from his hits omg
They had reed to intercept everything, Suggs and ngata to hurt the quarterbacks and Ray Lewis to hurt the running backs and blow up tight ends. All they were missing was a quarterback smfh
We ooohhh and aaahhh over this stuff, but the problem to me is people are hitting. Injuries are high in the NFL as is, when you hit and launch yourself at someone not only does the risk of an injury skyrockets but the risk to yourself injury skyrockets as well. Who knows you might just end your own career because you wanna hit. Then on top of that some of these guys bounce off your hit and now they run pass you for a larger gain. Stop with all the hitting, keep your head up, arms out and make the tackle. I'd rather see a player run down the ball carrier at the perfect angle and make a vicious tackle instead of coming in for a hit. Although Ray Lewis had some vicious hits during his career, when he tackled it looked sweet, awesome, professional, textbook.
As a Ravens fan, the first clip was golden. A clean hit that rung his bell and made him think twice about heading over near Chuck Clark’s direction. Go Ravens!
I love how it turned into a ray lewis highlight film later in the video
Any football fan would expect nothing less than this being a partial #52 highlight film!
Love the hitting of My Ravens. Made it fun to watch for 29yrs
damn!
Those Ravens Steelers games were classics.🔥🔥
Facts
Now that's RAVENS football, hard hitting strait reckless 😳 yes sir 👏 GO Ravens 😉
Ray Lewis almost broke Chad Johnson in half. Physicality is the backbone of the Ravens PERIOD 🤣🤣
THIS is ravens football 💪🏾
I'm not even a Ravens fan and I love this video
Guy at the end said, "That'll give you cramps!" 😂
Real ravens football right here
6:30 “hate to say this but Curtis Martin, you got JACKED UP!!” Lmfao 🤣
That pollard hit in the playoffs might be the biggest hit in ravens history. Changed the game
Nah for me it's Ray Lewis blasting Micheal Pittman on that angle route in week 1
@marcosbenavides8394 week 1?? Bro pollard hit was for all the marbles
I don't know how the Bart Scott hit on Big Ben isn't the BIGGEST hit in Ravens history ESPECIALLY since it was against the Squealers!
I would say it probably is the biggest hit or one of Ray Lewis’s hits. Bernard Pollard definitely has the most important hit
Scott's hit is top 5 for sure, but there are at least 2 Ray hits that eclipse it: the block for McAlister, and the Darren Sproles hit. First one because it was just ridiculous, second one because it was one of the most high IQ defensive plays of the era AND a big hit.
Ben said himself that was the hardest hit from BART.
I would say between that and Ray taking out a would-be tackler in the Denver game when Chris McAllister ran it back
That’s because it was weak as hell
I miss the old days of Steelers raven football best rivalry of all time respect yall coming from a Steelers 💯
It’s funny how many QB’s the Ravens knocked out in the early days 😂😂😂
I probably missed some clips too! There might even be mkre

They made rules to stop 🛑 this kinda football lol 😂 gotta love us Ravens Nation… I loved that hit on Chad Johnson lol
I’ll always show more respect to guys who played before and older records because you had to play through hits like this
Ravens sure do love knocking the snot out of Titans 😂
That tells you how they feel about the Titans

Ravens has a standard now. Spirit of Ray Lewis.
Its the QBs throwing these hospital passes dude holy cow
Need to add the Mendenhall hit
I knew I would forget a few hits, if I do a part 2 I’ll include lol
I'm officially calling ravens vs steelers the pain bowl
One thing about the Ravens, the guy driving the Stretcher Cart going get some overtime pay!🤕😮💨
That Pollard hit was so filthy
Ray Lewis is a human highlight reel
How was the first two hits…penalty brought up?!?
NFL is soft today
Amazing compilation!
ocho cinco and hines ward took some insane hits and popped right back up. thats crazy
12:34 seeing Juju Smith-Schuster fall like that says it all
12:33 juju smith schuster was shook after Rudolph got knocked out. Ravens have always had the most aggressive defense in the nfl
Thank you for the video. This is great
They really teased us there, no ray lewis for 5 minutes and then it's almost all lewis
I used to love that segment "Jacked Up". Sad they got rid of it because they wanted to take big hits outta the game.

Some of these are reckless. However, that is a part of football, and I believe football has gotten way too soft
I agree, the Kyle Hamilton and Goose hit were kinda unnecessary but some of these hits are clean and they still get penalized
