The peak strategy is to get the egg launcher early (early special), summon a club every time they get close enough, grind for medieval, and then just send infinite crossbowmen. You won't need to advance, ever, until you have enough for far future. Whenever they push close enough to your base, the enormous queue of crossbows you have will massacre them and earn a step forward. Easiest way to beat the max difficulty.
