    One of my favorite SWU interviews. Heartbreakingly genuine and real. "I have so much love in me, it makes me hate everybody". Thank you Sammy. I believe you found the perfect words to describe the nature of my own anti-social tendencies. Sometimes our hatred stems from knowing that we can't be loved. I'm very sorry about your dog. That kind of pain can't be put into words... I hope you get out of Skid Row and find a new dog friend, maybe two. That's the best type of family one could wish for. Thank you again! And Thank you Mark.

      I agree with Alex and Sammy here..Hearing it come out of someones mouth when ive always felt it but never knowing the words myself to get it out...she got it.. 100 percent. Love and hate...are sometimes so close especially when you've been hurt so deeply by someone you do love...its hard to see the forest for the trees. I agree she needs help...dont we all?

      No actually its like saying...i feel like this...this is a feeling. Which cant ever be said to be wrong because of the fact it is a feeling. Which are as individual as the individual having them. Another fine fact about feelings ...they also can not be invalidated by another human.... unless you allow them to do so. Which is exactly the type of person who gave me these FEELINGS in the first place.

    • @alexmontaldo8911

      @@punchito Well, I'm not sure I'm able to explain this, but being faced with the impossibility of love can definitely make you hate yourself and other people. What we call "love" is mostly based on getting our needs satisfied. It's generally about oneself, not the other person. But my idea of love is much more elemental. The love I feel for my dogs is REAL to me. I look at them and feel THEM! I listen to them breathe, snore or watch them eat and I feel nothing but a perfect, unexplainable warmth. I've never felt that way about people and I know people can't feel that way about me. That's why human interactions are "scary". That's why we become isolated and we hate. It's nobody's fault, and no one is entirely good or bad. It's just an excess of awareness maybe. And to your point, "He needs help". Sure, so do I and you and anybody else in the world :) Hope I managed to clarify, but i don't think so :)

    My dads best friend is my inspiration.
    He was an alcoholic and drug addict from the age of 15.
    He turned his life around at the age of 65. Not only did he stop substance abuse but he completed a university degree and became a phsycologist. As
    I watched this man turn his life around step by step many said it was to late for him. His reply "Nothing is to late while you're breathing."
    This has become my motto in life.
    I see so much potential in you Sammy.

    My experience: Loneliness is a mind homelessness. Hurts. The emptiness goes on forever. I’m old now (76) and after 70 let go of trying to believe the insulters & scorners were friends or family. I let those people go. Pushed them out. Hell , I was lonely anyway! Now I know a few friends. Talking, laughing, trusting friends. It’s not only good enough, it’s great.
    Your friends are waiting for you. They need you too. It’s never too late. Go for it Sammy! You’re wonderful, wise & so smart.

Loneliness can be devastating on a person's entire being....way too many people just give up on any sort of happiness. I'm glad you aren't alone anymore. Be blessed and live your best life! 😉♥️

    I was a little hesitant to watch this to be honest. I didn't think it was all that great of an interview and was certain I would see some shitass comments from shitass people confirming that me and the video were both undoubtedly stupid and lame. I'm shocked by all the love from you all, I'm not used to this. I've been reading as many as I can and intend to reply to most of you individually but I just wanted to say one big thank you to you all, so, THANK YOU Y'ALL! I haven't had so many "tears of joy" in one sitting ever in my life and probably not even combined actually. I would love to do another interview and some of the other things some of you suggested, especially stand up comedy, but I have so many daily battles just trying to survive that just getting off this streets seems impossible to do so I can't even fathom anything beyond that right now and I can barely even fathom that. I feel like I'm gonna be out here in the streets alone until I die all alone in the streets. I don't wanna be out here. I don't feel like I belong here but I will say that I'm thankful for this experience. I'm so ready for life to change again and get another crack at it but I can't do it on my own. I need to borrow a leg to stand on from someone that can trust me with their leg. Whenever I try to stand with just my own, I trip, I fall, and I get a little further away from even wanting to try to stand again each time. When you have fallen so many times, the wounds and the scars show. Those wounds and scars, scare away people and opportunities. I would do just about anything to get the fuck off these streets and into something else. Something I enjoy and gives me the chance to take care of myself the way I'd like to be and to give back to the people, my people, our people, you, him, her, them, us, everyone. We are all in this together and we've got to do something better than what we're doing right now or our species is completely fucked. We all need more love, laughter, and education in our lives. A hell of a lot less television and Facebook would be great, as well. I absolutely know that those two things are fucking horrible for us all. Fuck Facebook and kill your TV. Anyways, if your ever in Hollywood and wanna say Hi, you can find my cage in front of 1444 Highland Ave, next door to the Chick-fil-A on the corner of Sunset Blvd and Highland Ave. At least for now that is. Wanna send me love letters or hate mail? Send them to Sammie Streets 6636 Selma Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90028. You can also email me at samanthakaystreets@gmail.com and if you really wanna help me get the fuck off these streets you can send me money that I promise I'll start saving through Venom @hollywooddiosa. thanks again y'all, I love all of you and I sure hope this snowballs into something good for us all. Look forward to hearing from me personally on all your comments, in due time that is. Goodnight and Happy St. Patrick's Day 🦋

      I’m not sure what your definition of being broke broke is but it can be hard being friends with ppl who are broke broke (depending on the person obviously) I think I have been broke broke myself but never manipulated friends who weren’t into constantly helping me while I didn’t do anything myself to at least try to improve my own financial situation. Also even though i was financially struggling myself just not as bad as they were, at times made me feel like it was never enough, no matter how much i could afford to help (when I actually couldn’t, it’s just the type of person i am) If you’re not a manipulative person it shouldn’t be an issue with friends. But it also depends on the type of ppl you’re friends with at that point in your life.

    This is the realest and most honest interview I've heard my entire life. I've learnt so much from it and I understand what she's saying; I understand her why she's who she is. She seems like an amazing soul and she's so wise and honest. It feels like she's been alone for the longest time and I relate to what she means when she talks about her relationships with family and her views about it. I understand where her feelings come from and why she misses her best friend, who was a dog. To be honest, I feel like people like her need a dog in their lives. I do as well for they are not only therapeutic, they are also loyal creatures that love their humans unconditionally. Their loyalty is to their humans and people with experiences such as Sammy which leave an empty hole im their lives or hearts need them to fill the hole with love. They are good companions. Anyway, I know this because it worked with. The dog helped me settle with being me at the loneliest and darkest times of my life. Sammy oozes wisdom. She's an amazing writer as well. I understand why she one day decided to leave just before she turned 18. She was tired and yearned freedom. She was physically abused by her mother when she was a child and I kind of think that she was an asshole to her child because getting her at such a young age changed her. Sammy says she has changed and there was a time she sent her money. That was the human love for her daughter. Sammy said that even though she was loving she was abusive and that scars your heart especially when you're a child. When physical and emotionally abuse is a constant part of your life you feel like a prisoner. You feel like a slave and you yearn for freedom. That feeling drains you. It eats you up slowly like a corrosive acid. However, those who make through are strong. That's what Sammy is, strong and wise. I wouldn't judge her one bit. She says she's surprised by most people's responses which probably shows that people have been an asshole to her. Probably because of how they say her. If people heard this interview, judgemental assholes and nonjudgmental folks, through a podcast and didn't know about her sexuality, they would love it. I will definitely write her and try and get to know her. I wish her situation changes. She's a free spirit who is unfazed by capitalism, that's where we see her golden heart. When she talks about money. All the best Sammy, keep being true to yourself. Sending you love and light.

    Obviously Sammy is trying her best to portray herself as a woman with what resources she has. Not every trans person can afford hormone replacement therapy, or wants to put themselves through that process in the first place. From what I understand it can be a rough journey. So please, don't be an ignorant asshole. Think about the things you want to say for a moment and ask yourself, "who is this productive for?" Probably no one.

You seem like you have a lot of love to give. It takes a big person to realise they were a crappy person in the past. It's good to you try to treat others better. I hope you can meet some nice ppl. Eh, I'd rather if the homeless didnt adopt dogs. The dogs live in awful conditions, dont get taken to the vet when they should and often eat human food instead of appropriate dog food. Homeless dogs are often in rough shape. It also doesnt make any sense for someone in a financial crisis to take on the burden of adopting a dog.

    • @jacksonsinclair2615
      @jacksonsinclair2615 2 года назад +9

      Yes thank you for the dogs sake. My family grew up very poor and we had animals we couldn't afford and when they got sick or injured and we couldn't afford a few hundred dollars for a vet bill they suffered until they died or my dad shot them. Left me scarred for life honestly.

    • @Justaguyyoutubin
      @Justaguyyoutubin 2 года назад +7

      @@jacksonsinclair2615 Absolutely. Pets are a luxury. And when people are financially stretched thin, they just wont have the means to properly look after the dog. The dog wont have up to date shots, wont go for dentals, wont have a good diet... If the dog gets hurt, it doesnt get taken to a vet. Not to mention the stress and conditions. I've been around MANY homeless dogs as I work in enforcement, and the dogs are stressed and are often aggressive. These dogs watch their owners get beat up, robbed and are around when their owners are unconscious and twitching on the ground under a tree in the park, high on drugs. When the owner breaks into a mental health episode and is taken to the hospital or when they get arrested, guess who looks after the dog? Either another homeless person who cares less, or they become a stray, or they get taken to the pound and dont pass behavioral tests and get euthanized.

      @WXRTH - The human in that situation has made hundreds if not thousands of decisions that have led to homelessness. The dog was adopted by someone who is incapable of caring for it. Different levels of accountability.

    I heard someone say, 'If you tell someone they're nothing they'll come back worse than before to prove to you they're SOMETHING. A person cant change unless someone believes they are worth something.' (Maya Angelou but can't find the quote.) In order for a person to better their lives they have to believe they have value and that makes sense because change requires effort and that is an investment. Not that they have to change per se but certainly hope their living situations etc do.
    The cool thing about this channel is it helps me see value in these fellow human beings and the value in their stories. We can learn a lot from each other, even if it's compassion. I hope the people doing these interviews know there are people who don't judge them and see the good they have.
    I too know the feeling of disquieting thoughts especially at the end of the day and know how painful that can be. Stay safe Sammy. Find peace (and hopefully a new dog best friend) you definitely deserve it.

    Hi Sammy,
    Just wanted to say you had some very good points when talking about life. Thankfully there are people in the world like Mark who really go out of their way to help others even when people don’t know about ir. He helps lots more people than is even likely a quarter of those on the channel, and thank God, because like you mentioned I too would give away my money if I had plenty, and I give help and things to others even when I don’t have much. It matters more to me to do that than treating myself ever could. When people asking what you would spend the lottery on if you won I always have this kind of mental list of how many peoples mortgage and cars I would pay off or buy homes for those who dont have them. I’m not trying to be all goody goody but it genuinely would excite me to think the difference I could make even with what many Rich people would consider a modest amount. Even when I worked for such little pay (especially considering the responsibility) I still saved that to use for things for others. Other people get all excited on what they want and what they are gping to buy themselves next but theres nothing like the real joy in knowing you have helped someone.
    Thanks for your story Sammy, be safe out there. Sending love & prayers❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

      I just wanted to ditto what Lau J wrote. I too get more of a buzz giving than receiving. I’ve made so many lists mentally on who I’d help if I could win the lottery. Homelessness is my top priority. I previously worked as an homelessness officer for years, helping those to gain accommodation, resettling and to move forward with their lives in a positive way. Why can’t billionaires think the same? Why are they so greedy? I’m not saying give away all their money, I’m stating that to give a percentage of what they had would help so many. It’s heartbreaking 🥺
