So, my autistic 6 year old got ahold of my tablet, and turned on RUclips, and found your video, and watched ALL OF IT. He was then asking if we can get our own tarantula and gusset stickers to put up ALL OVER HIS ROOM (LOLOLOLOLOL), and then spent the next hour and a half chatting away about the tarantulas and how they are so beautiful and how much he wants to feed them and how we can go into the back yard and get the tarantulas some bugs and ZOMG, he’s so freaking excited and happy. He can’t wait to see your next video. Thank you, Kat, for this latest installment of awesomeness. (It was because of him that I got started with tarantulas, and he loves to watch them eating in real life. But he wants his own. Not gonna happen because he is also wanting to let them be free range tarantulas. LOL. The cats would love that, too, come to think of it. 😬But seriously, your content is effing awesome, and I can’t wait to see what you make/do next!! Thank you for your sublime radness, Kat!

The ogre spider looks angry but is actually a peaceful spider, you can easily handle them.

I read somewhere or watched a documentary about them. I believe these spiders are very sensitive to UV light, so they are blind and at night their retinas heal and the spider is more active, their eyes glow a bright blue light while the spider is handled under a UV light, looks pretty cool. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, I can't remember very well.

When I was younger, I found ogre faced spiders scary, but now I think they're adorable.

I love ogre faced spiders! They literally use a fishing net made from butt silk. How cool is that?? Imagine you’re hunting for your tribe. Instead of having to carry spears, axes and bows, all you need is your butt. Pretty amazing!

Thats so awesome you got the ogre faced net casting spiders just make sure you leave enough room in enclosure for them to cast thier nets. You should try to get the bolo spider too

That large ogre spider reminds me of somthing my family call a spindly spider, often found inside entry ways to houses and flats, I always laughed at thier big eyes and if you blow on them they bounce about so you can't focus on them well

This helped my arachnopbia a bit. The first two remind me of stick bugs a bit, which takes away some of the Yikes factor. The rhrowing nets is cool too!

I just need to tell you that I have MAJOR (totally unfounded) arachnophobia; however, I don't kill anyone because I am Wiccan and don't believe in that. Anyway, your videos have helped me so much! I now "get spiders" and just wanted to say thank you, beautiful soul! I am slowly becoming "unafraid." And this means a lot to me because as an avid animal lover! I feel it is really important to dispel people's horrible opinions of "scary animals" such as snakes, bats, etc. All these species are super important to our lives on this planet.
