I mean there’s many native cultures that have similar traditional tattoo styles. My dad’s family is Taino, which are natives of Puerto Rico and their traditional tattoos are kinda similar to Polynesian ones. Do a little research, you might find that you have some sort of tribal background.
A lot of Polynesian places do not have a problem with non-Polynesians getting their tattoo as long as you understand what you are getting and do it respectfully (don’t just get a random person, get a Polynesian who knows the traditions and know what they are doing)
