Great history
Brooklyn Dodger Duke Snider lived near there in Compton. He went to Compton High with NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle.
Fascinating, fascinating individual and story

One of the 1st real gang Street Cops!!!
he just turned 80 years old.
Reggie when are you gonna do an interview with Alonso?? Bring yo pops too.
My family is Louisiana Creole on both sides from Pointe Coupee, Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We all were raised Catholic. We moved to California in 1901 and the 1940’s. Black people that “Speak a lil bit of French” comment pissed me off. It’s a dying language because we lost it when we moved here. I lost it in Kindergarten because I noticed I talked funny and I wanted to fit in. But yeah don’t talk shit about people Alonzo. I’m sensitive about my culture. 😡
He also said "Blacks that have a little French ancestry" he was just trying to break it down for people who don't know anything about the Creoles.

“It was black but I didn’t have to really be around those real blacks. These were nearly white blacks. Just the type I like…”. This joker here…. 🤦🏽♂️
