Forty odd quid for the Rapha isn’t bad but I don’t how I’d feel wearing one. Did Arran the other day and there was an another cyclist head to toe in Rapha and of course a Pinarello bike and I wasn’t impressed. Wasn’t even a nice guy. I’ve got a couple of the cheap Evans jerseys and they’re brilliant. If you’re willing to spend a bit then you can’t go wrong with Castelli. Top quality and they last for ages. Super comfy also. Now that I’ve been doing it for a while now if I was buying a new jersey then I’d get the Rapha based on your review. But I won’t be buying one for a while, I’ve just ordered a new bike. Wife would put my nuts in a vice
I like the Rapha fit and function, not the rrp but like you say the Castelli is equally if not better on some occasions but even that is creeping up on rrp. Shopping about to find one on offer is only way I go. Personally I’m not a fan of Pinarello’s ! I’d feel a fake all the gear no idea riding one… much happier riding something more affordable. Arran for me one day! Looks like an excellent ride.
Buy cheap, buy twice. I have a couple of the Decathlon jerseys just to use when riding slowly to work along the canal & theyre great for that. For anything more i go for better, better fit, better zip & pockets etc. Nice vid, thanks!
Thanks thedoginside, I love the price of the Decathlon, the LeCol is the let down for me due to the fit around the neck and LeCol had a RRP of £100 for it? even at £50 sale price I still feel it's poor value for money.
I am not that fussy really, from the photo of the purple Rapha it did look darker like a purple/grape colour! but as with most things get it your hands on it and it looks a little off to what you ordered.

Talking about colours, I'll go for the unfashionable fluros and bright colours over the dark, good to be seen especially in grey weather
