i know i say this with my technician mentality but replacing the active air vents are fairly easy to do. for reliability one thing we love about working on the newer g series cars at the dealerships is everything is more or less easy to do. we see a lot of high mileage b46 b58 cars that don’t need much if anything to be fixed. oil filter housings are definitely the one thing b46 and b58s suffer from most. good to know it can handle jersey winters.
8 months with my 2020 m340 and I’ve had only a nail in my tire and low coolant that needed to be added besides that absolutely insane reliability, I will keep this for as long as I can

BMW had to replace the display screen about 6 months in. 4k for the new screen but covered under warranty.
Guys, in one year U can't tell the car is reliable or not. I would say less than 3 years. U can't tell... plus is the car is bought NEW.. before 5 years.... still a new car....
Yea I feel you about the active air vent . Luckily when mine was stuck open and caused a CEL, it was covered under my 3rd party warranty (would have been a $1,700 fix)... Now my warranty is voided cause I'm tuned lol so if that were to happen again, I would just have to live with it
8 months with my 2021 and the only issue was the Harmon Karden amp cutting out, periodically. It was covered under warranty and fixed the same day. No one talks about eco mode, but I've achieved 42 mpg on a 65 mile highway drive. I'm only at 12k miles and still stock, other than tint.
@@Gerry926 I haven’t really mentioned eco mode because I barely use it but when I do bro I reach 40 mpgs as well 😂 I wish I was more disciplined so I could take more advantage
@SlipStreamTV Trust me, I get it. It's really hard to drive like that, but I'm also in Jersey and there aren't a lot of places to have real fun out here, so I might as well save gas from time to time. Plus, I'm in my 50's so... yeah. Lol.
Have had my 2020 M340i xDrive for 4 months now and i came from a 2017 Q50. The Q50 was FBO Tuned E60 and was an absolute monster but I wanted a fresh look and reliability. @@woobinlee2602 it’s an actual mechanical problem. The oil pump itself is going bad. Not all 2020 m340i had this issue… just prior to buying do the test and see if you’re good or not lol
@@SlipStreamTV I will have to disagree with you here. Yes there is an oil pump recall for the 2020 models. When the computer fails to read the oil and stops at 15% it has nothing to do with the pump. I bought mine in April of 2019 by August it read the oil to about 12% and the computer fails. I did not replace my oil pump, and i sold my car early last year.
