8 POINTER RIGHT UNDER ME | Bowhunting Maine Swamp Bucks During The Seeking Phase of RUT

This was an awesome Maine deer hunt. I was bowhunting in a swamp and had a nice 8-point buck right under me. He did exactly what I was predicting based on a few prior hunts in the area. This hunt is from a few years ago but it's still a great one, enjoy!

Well passing on a buck like that in ME has its benefits and drawbacks. Good on you for trying to kill a bigger buck and let’s face it the experience is worth it as your trophy. You could have shot this deer clearly so huntings version of catch and release. Great video!!!!

Fellow Maine bowhunter here. Are you bowhunting Northern Maine or Southern Maine? I find them to be vastly different places when it comes to hunting in general, but especially bowhunting.

This was southern Maine, not the big woods. You are correct, they are vastly different but both have their perks 👍🏻

Thanks, and I'm sure it one of the bucks bedded getting up to go look for does. The deer I jumped was on the other side of the river
