Oh to be 17 again. I first heard this on M-M-M-Metalshop, The only show with teeth on March 2, 1984, which was the Randy Rhoads tribute show. I might have the cassette that I recorded the show off the air.
What a great track - I first heard this on the classic Hesher radio show Metal Shop wayyyy back in 1984 or so (a good 5 years after this song was first released). Loving original QR bassist Kelly Garni’s book about he and Randy’s friendship and the original Quiet Riot days.
This is a total mess but I can tell what they're going for. And through that mess it's a half descent song. Given a better producer to reel it in it probably would have been a mainstay on the radio

Best song on the album.
I hear a bit of Jean genie David Bowie influence in the chorus. Man Randy was a beast on the guitar man R.i.p Randy and Kevin
The 1993 Randy Rhoads Years version also has re-recorded vocals from Kevin.
What if randy rhoads were in thin lizzy with john sykes? I've always wondered about that
