I hope that Sam finds his mum, but I sense there is going to be some tragedy at the end of the journey that will probably shake Sam's optimistic spirit greatly. I trust Guy will be with him though to see it through. Hopefully Michellee and E.B too.
What makes Guy and Sam so different from the typical “grumpy character and eager character” duo is how much depth these two have and how much they genuinely care for each other. Guy is a depressed inventor who believes he is a major failure and wants to remain alone, while Sam has abandonment issues after his mother left him at an orphanage and desperately wants to have a friend to call his own. Over the course of the show, Sam and Guy both demonstrate how much they care for one another. Sam becomes Guy’s cheerleader, acts as his wingman when it comes to pairing him with Michellee, and inspires Guy to have confidence in his inventions. Guy saves Sam countless times, becomes a father figure for Mr. Jenkins, and is the first person to stick by his side for so long, even considering him to be family. Guy even showcases his dedication as a friend by eating green eggs and ham (as opposed to the book where he caves into Sam’s loud demands). I adore Guy and Sam’s friendship because they ultimately bring out the best in each other.

I don't buy into the idea that Sam would choose to become a con artist on his own. He seems like way too sweet of a guy for that line of work to be in character for him. Being as he was an orphan, I'm willing to bet something along the lines of there being another kid at the orphanage, maybe an older kid, who was big and tough and basically protected him from the other tougher kids, and he showed Sam the ropes, like the kid was a total hooligan, and Sam really looked up to him. Sam is under the influence of the kid and eventually they get out of the orphanage and become partners in crime, until one day when his so-called friend abandons him, putting Sam alone and leaving him on the same path to begin with. I do believe that the personality he puts forth is the genuine him, and that all his facades when being a con-artist, he still used the same perky personality as that's who he is, but I don't believe that he does what he does with any impression that what he's doing is something wrong, and that he was a person made to believe that stealing was something like purposing someone else's property for the greater good, or that taking money was borrowing without telling someone. Sam does seem like the kinda naive person that if you told him grapes were blueberries, with enough conviction, he'd believe it. I believe we'll meet this character in season 2. I think season 2 will be a bit of a roll reversal between Sam and Guy, and that this season is about Sam discovering himself, distancing himself from his past and confronting the one that made him that way, and that Guy will be there for loyalty's sake because Sam helped him find his happiness.

I’m never gonna forget the part where Sam is like “WE’RE GONNA DIE!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHAAAA” while scribbling red marker all around his mouth in that one scene in the hallway in the cabin. Lmao
Why Sam and Guy would be perfect for each other: I honestly haven’t finished the series yet- but I’m already head over heals with the chemistry between these two characters!! They compliment each other very well, and seem to help each other in a way no one else can. Guy helps keep Sam safe and on the ground, while Sam helps Guy regain some of his hope back. Plus, I genuinely feel like Netflix is just teasing these two so hard. There’s SO many moments in the series where I’m actually thinking that somethings going on between the two of them- not to mention the whole “kiss me u fool” part in this video. I doubt it’s going to happen though, considering Michelle is already Guy’s love interest... I mean, I like Michelle’s character, but I just don’t see it between those two. They seem better off as friends in my opinion. And Netflix doesn’t have the balls to have a canon gay ship in a children’s show. I feel like making this ship canon- it could just be a huge step in representation. Not only would it break the stigma that children “wouldn’t understand” gay relationships, but, it would also shed some light on the reason WHY Green Eggs and Ham was banned. (It was banned since someone started a rumor about the two main characters being gay, and Sam was pressuring Guy into dating him, despite Guy insisting he’s straight, but when he tries it, he actually likes it. Now, I think that this interpretation is a reach in the book- it definitely seems more realistic in the series. Especially since Sam is always talking about the two being a family together.) If Netflix had these two be canon- it would earn them MAJOR brownie points in the LGBT+ community, and would overall improve the show in my opinion. Of course, I’ll love and watch this show either way, but I just think this show would be even BETTER if it was canon. I doubt it’s gonna happen- but I really wish it would. So, Netflix, if you’re reading this, (which I know you aren’t) it would be great if you took this into consideration. And don’t worry about losing a lot viewers or drama over it either- look at Disney! They have a whole series with an openly gay character, and it seems to be pretty successful. And whatever viewers you DO lose, you’ll gain TWICE as much, since people will be so surprised and excited to see more representation! And this could be a HUGE step in educating children about the LGBT+ community!
I feel like She-Ra is doing a good job representing the LGBTQ community. They have lesbian, gay and non binary characters. I don't see how Netflix could slip a gay couple into this series because of their target audience and because they most likely want to rack up as many views as possible because of how expensive this show is to produce. But I can see them creating more LGBTQ characters in shows in the future.

This scene shows that Sam did wanted to be friends with him and Guy kinda got annoyed and hurt when Sam practically lied to him about everything. I don't buy into the idea that Sam would choose to become a con artist on his own. He seems like way too sweet of a guy for that line of work to be in character for him. Being as he was an orphan, I'm willing to bet something along the lines of there being another kid at the orphanage, maybe an older kid, who was big and tough and basically protected him from the other tougher kids, and he showed Sam the ropes, like the kid was a total hooligan, and Sam really looked up to him. Sam is under the influence of the kid and eventually they get out of the orphanage and become partners in crime, until one day when his so-called friend abandons him, putting Sam alone and leaving him on the same path to begin with. I do believe that the personality he puts forth is the genuine him, and that all his facades when being a con-artist, he still used the same perky personality as that's who he is, but I don't believe that he does what he does with any impression that what he's doing is something wrong, and that he was a person made to believe that stealing was something like purposing someone else's property for the greater good, or that taking money was borrowing without telling someone. Sam does seem like the kinda naive person that if you told him grapes were blueberries, with enough conviction, he'd believe it. I believe we'll meet this character in season 2. I think season 2 will be a bit of a roll reversal between Sam and Guy, and that this season is about Sam discovering himself, distancing himself from his past and confronting the one that made him that way, and that Guy will be there for loyalty's sake because Sam helped him find his happiness.
Andrew Colomy Oh sort of like what happens in the Puss in Boots movie between Puss and the egg? I liked that movie, so would be fine if this really does end up being what led Sam down his criminal path in the first place.
I agree that with about Sam not being a con artist, he's way to much of a sweetheart for that diabolical plot.

Why Sam and Guy would be perfect for each other:
I honestly haven’t finished the series yet- but I’m already head over heals with the chemistry between these two characters!! They compliment each other very well, and seem to help each other in a way no one else can. Guy helps keep Sam safe and on the ground, while Sam helps Guy regain some of his hope back. Plus, I genuinely feel like Netflix is just teasing these two so hard. There’s SO many moments in the series where I’m actually thinking that somethings going on between the two of them- not to mention the whole “kiss me u fool” part in this video. I doubt it’s going to happen though, considering Michelle is already Guy’s love interest... I mean, I like Michelle’s character, but I just don’t see it between those two. They seem better off as friends in my opinion. And Netflix doesn’t have the balls to have a canon gay ship in a children’s show. I feel like making this ship canon- it could just be a huge step in representation. Not only would it break the stigma that children “wouldn’t understand” gay relationships, but, it would also shed some light on the reason WHY Green Eggs and Ham was banned. (It was banned since someone started a rumor about the two main characters being gay, and Sam was pressuring Guy into dating him, despite Guy insisting he’s straight, but when he tries it, he actually likes it. Now, I think that this interpretation is a reach in the book- it definitely seems more realistic in the series. Especially since Sam is always talking about the two being a family together.) If Netflix had these two be canon- it would earn them MAJOR brownie points in the LGBT+ community, and would overall improve the show in my opinion. Of course, I’ll love and watch this show either way, but I just think this show would be even BETTER if it was canon. I doubt it’s gonna happen- but I really wish it would. So, Netflix, if you’re reading this, (which I know you aren’t) it would be great if you took this into consideration. And don’t worry about losing a lot viewers or drama over it either- look at Disney! They have a whole series with an openly gay character, and it seems to be pretty successful. And whatever viewers you DO lose, you’ll gain TWICE as much, since people will be so surprised and excited to see more representation! And this could be a HUGE step in educating children about the LGBT+ community!

I feel like She-Ra is doing a good job representing the LGBTQ community. They have lesbian, gay and non binary characters. I don't see how Netflix could slip a gay couple into this series because of their target audience and because they most likely want to rack up as many views as possible because of how expensive this show is to produce. But I can see them creating more LGBTQ characters in shows in the future.

Honestly Guy did push too far with Sam. This scene shows that Sam did wanted to be friends with him and Guy kinda got annoyed and hurt when Sam practically lied to him about everything. Honestly if Sam would’ve listen to him and actually apologized for making Guy look like a fools and practically made Guy pay for most of the trip. Then Guy would’ve see that Sam did wanted to change. Also Guy would’ve understand about Sams mother that Sam was not lying about it. Maybe guy thought that he was lying about it. Still what made my heart beat was how the friendship and brother good Guy and Sam made to rescue Mr Jenkins and brought him back home. I still believe that their friendship will be put to the rest when finding Sams mother can’t wait for Season 2!!!!!
