Shows like this actually scare me. It scares me that some writer had to get the idea from some where and that there must be some police corruption. It frightens me. I do not know what scares me more, the idea that good cops are trapped in a system of corrupt police or that police can be that corrupt. ONE thing I do know, it is better to be a totally honest citizen 100 percent, never break the law ever because if you do, you do not have a chance. IF you are innocently accused you are screwed by a corrupt legal system. VERY SAD indeed. The series has me hooked as I am looking for something to be fixed. I am an optomist.
Top rate police drama. So good it makes me wonder if everyone retired after this particular Australian production? Cause i'm not sure anything police drama related has captured the same high quality since.
@@Tom-kt8lu Blue Murder is also epic. As someone who lived in inner-city Sydney at the time (and mixed with uh, "unsavoury" characters) I can tell you this is SPOT-ON en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Murder_(miniseries)
That was a bloody good series.I was captivated right from the start.Bloody great.
Saw this when it first aired. So many memorable scenes. Great to watch again.
First time I've ever seen this. Thanks for posting, couldn't take my eyes off it!
This is such an epic crime series, I remember dad letting me watch when it came out in the early 80's
As I said on Act 1... thanks so much for posting these!
Not a mobile phone in sight, and manual typewriters, no PCs. And no recorded interviews, the days of the police verbals.
There was a series in the 1960 that was also called Scales of Justice.(ITV) it was very good and hard hitting for the time.

They went on to make (inter alia) Blue Murder, Phoenix and (best of all) Janus.

Can't be sure about that. Bargearse was pretty good.
Ahhhh the 80's. Short shorts, beer and cigarettes.
And TV shows with only white people and minimal females in them. ;-)
good series!
Corruption is still a big part of policing.
Anywhere there are people there will be corruption lurking somewhere.
Nipper is reminiscent of George Freeman...I think that's who they had in mind, in any case.
Neddy Smith, I think
@@zhukie I thought it was based on Neddy.
Vale, Tony Barry.
Good ole corruption... Love the series
This series is excellent , im Lesley in Dundee scotland.
good show.
Very realistic
There are too many people talking at the same time, it makes us hard of hearing to pick up what the main people are saying. Otherwise an nice series.
Just like real life ...
1 was good, 2 was very good

Typical Aussies......i lost count of the number of cans of beer that were consumed during that episode! Bloody good series though.
Clive .L Australian police forces have a long history of alcoholism! The force is full of drunkards!
