Personally I still don't like MiUI. I own a Mi 9 but I won't install MiUI 12 and will stick with AOSP custom ROMs. Mainly 3 things make it unusable: 1. No, it won't become much smoother on release. It will happen withing 6 months afterwards, for the whole time you will fight with lags and bugs. I've come over it in MiUI 9, MiUI 10, MiUI 11, but will not again. 2. Those default apps (Music, Video, left screen) are total data harvesters and also pretty sluggish and full of ads, so there's no way I want a ROM with this stuff being not deletable. Xiaomi.eu kinda solves it, but they have their own problems 3. Compared to stock Android it looks more visually reach, but that's on the first glance. Stock Android delivers best experience, not best look, and I prefer the former one here. It's very simple and fast, notifications are just miles better than on MiUI! And on top of all that, all apps in play store are written with Material Design in mind, not xiaomeme's design language, so as soon as you start using 3rd-party apps, all this "beauty" goes out of sync and it's unpleasant to switch between apps with different UI paradigms

Dude i was starting to hate miui but this is another level!! I mean wow i never thought i would conceder the skin when buying a phone but i would totally buy a xiaomi phone just for this miui12 skin😍
I have been using miui since the very early days. People always declare a hate for it but don't fully understand. I might use another operating system for my daily but when I am at home I am always using a Xiaomi handset love them saving up for a either the miui 10 pro or the mix line later in the year
I have a Redmi 7, and the MIUI 11 experience on this ultra cheap phone is pretty bad. The animations get cut off, I have two different fonts mixed together (default Android font & the new Mi font) and they haven't fixed any bugs from the first release. I don't know if it's just because of the Android 9. Do you know if it's better optimised on Android 10?
used xiaomi with miui10, then bought a phone with stock android in it, it was too basic to have useful features by default, got back to xiaomi phone again, now waiting for miui12 :D

I think it's more like "take ur own risk" If u are using midrange series, then don't ever complain about lag and stuff, so rn i rather to choose xiaomi devices with high spec, such as snap >700 and also dimensity >800
I love how they gave us option to just have miui 11 control center even thou you are on 12 . If they didn't I would go down back to 11 cause that control center I don't like it. I tried it but still feels better 11 style for me and mostly cause that split screen on left notifications and right control center.
Is wifi tethering supported in MIUI 12 ? ie the ability to hotspot a wifi connection. This feature was in Android Oreo MIUI 11 but was removed in Android Pie MIUI 11
It would be great to know if the battery life has been improved on the Mi Note 10. Early reviews dinged that aspect since the 730G and a battery over 5000mah should have better battery life. Probably MIU 11 wasn't optimized for the Mi note 10 so if MIU12 has that fixed then this phone might be a good candidate for me.
Hey Stennan so I have actually been testing this and I can say battery life is awesome. I lost 1% in 45 minutes went from 91% to 90%. I charged my phone to 100% 9pm yesterday. I'm at 69% now. That's after 13 hours and 3+ hours of SOT

Just added the new live wallpapers from Miui 12 yesterday, totally love the animations, cannot wait to get the update for my Mi9, it will look so much better, already using the dark theme, the best theme ever for day and night. Xiaomi evolved a lot in the last years, I think that in about 2-3 years they will have a very fluid and stable UI, the hardware and build quality is already achieved, I fell no difference between my Mi9 and a Samsung S10 which was double the price. To bad they bumped up the prices, but probably I will go with a Poco from Xiaomi if I will upgrade, not the Mi flaghip, better value for money.

Every reviewer who doesn't know this doesn't deserve my subscription Xiaomi is just updating it slowly and listening to user feedback, it always had these good animations and everything. The MI 8 is a great phone. Better than the 9se in my opinion but you also have to consider that its almost gow years old and updates may start dwindling after another year

MI 8 Global Version of MIUI 12 does not have any pre installed wallpapers. Only the two live Super Wallpapers. Xiaomi static wallpapers are gone. 🙄😮
