It breaks my heart how many budgies like this come from breeders, largely through unethical practices. Thank you for helping these guys - they deserve every chance for a happy and quality life. We take in special needs budgies and other similar birds. Sadly many are too weak to live long but we do what we can for them. The unethical practices need to stop though.

I hope Melon (girl) and Peppy (boy) will become happy and friendly flock members! I remember when my budgies had mites when I was a kid. Took them to my vet, he showed me how to treat them and they all recovered super well! ❤️

My friend bought a blind fish from a pet store. It was a resilient little thing. After he bumped his face into the glass enough times he learned the aquarium size and it stopped happening. He could smell the fish food and could come up to eat as well as the other fish. Pretty inspiring.
I own a pet conure bird, thank you for taking care of birds in need. I lived with birds my whole life, and I know that they are very fragile pets. But it is always worth it.

I adopted a injured Budgie 4 years ago, she had no feathers on her right wing, so she couldnt fly. She was pretty fragile and scared but after a lot of patience and time, she began to love me. She died last year. I think she was grateful that I Adopted her cause she was always with me

I'm very happy to see that the shop owner keep her pets so safe, In India its hard to see this proper conditions in pet shops. If you go next time please compliment her that how good person she is. And you are kindest person 💖. I wish for better health to all your budgies.
The fact that I used to keep budgerigars is something that will be one among the things I regret right up to the day I die. I used to breed them for the purpose of showing them. In my opinion, all animals, no matter what sort, ought to have their freedom.

‘Coz of people like you, we still hope in humanity
The first ever bird we adopted was a Diamond Dove who was blind in one eye and had a broken foot as well as feather loss on the head and his chest. After a few months, he was able to put pressure on his broken foot and walk much better. And about 3 weeks after we first got him, his feathers started growing back in.
It feels amazing to be able to help birds who are unwanted, we'd argue it's the best feeling in the world.

Man this takes me back to the time I chose my parakeet. She was being bullied around by the other birds and has a deformed left claw, as the front right claw is crooked and gets caught in the carpet every time I bring her out to hang out with her. She's a lot of work but when a bird only wants to hop on your shoulder after your efforts it feels amazing

Poor babies! They need digital kisses and hugs! I would talk to my gramma’s 4 parakeets from a distance. They pretty much enjoy hearing my voice now because of me giving them space while talking to them! I love them! I very much enjoy nature, especially seeing happy animals out in the wild! They actually cheer me up! I love the exploration of the unknown world (what I’ve never experienced, such as birds and stuff).
I got one for Christmas ...now it just follow me around .

I did similar threatment for my sick rat from Poland. I bought it from a guy who sold my rats siblings mostly for snake food. He had a lot of mites. I was living in a small city and they had only very strong medicine for pigs. Thank god for internet forums and my local farmer's vet.

I adopted a bird born with deformed feet..couldn`t fly or move much...but he was a treasure...no one in the pet store in Japan wanted him....so talked my ex into buying him.. the first time he got to our house he crawled cause he heard my other budgie..he had been stuck in a plastic box for a long time and was very lonely...he lived for several years.. and seemed content...he would sit on top of his cage all day and night...

You are so sweet with them, bless ya. I do the same when I notice baby chicks injured at the store I buy feed for my chickens. They also separate the babies, but they need warmth asap, so I bring them home to a special silky hen I have that will accept any babies I offer her.
they sound so much better. I had 5 budgies and they lived a very long time and I do miss their sounds
